I moved here in April 2015 from a rural town of 200 in Virginia that pre-dated the Revolutionary War. Can you say culture shock? But, the Upper West Side is so «small town» for New York standards. I know my neighbors, we share backyards and absolutely get along great. The guys at the Pariesene deli know I always order the breakfast burrito with a hash browns, and the owner always greets me with a smile. The police, FDNY, and the post office is all a block away, with four car rental places, what more could you ask for. Oh, the food… Greek, three Italian joints, kosher Vegan, burgers, soup, a grocery store, and three pizza joints within two blocks… what are you kidding me. Columbus Avenue restaurant row is amazing. Much better than my GF’s old place in mid-town hell at Herald Square. This is a true neighborhood. I love the Upper West Side. And The greatest park in the world is a mere ¾ block away. Five stars!

I hate how long every week day feels, but how weeks and months seem to go by fast… Hello upper west side! The Upper West Side… on the other side of Central Park… The atmosphere on the west side is definitely more laid back and casual… you can feel it! The Upper West Side rests in between two truly great parks… Central Park and Riverside Park… It’s home to Lincoln Center and The American Museum of Natural History as well as the New York Historical Society… Some of the city’s best architecture… as well as rows and rows of brownstones can all be found in the Upper West Side… You gotta want more for yourself… there’s so much out there to see… taste… feel… and most importantly experience…

Lived here for two years… love the neighborhood. Has everything you could ever need. Shopping, dining, miscellaneous retail stores, big names and neighborhood places. Best part is that you’re wedged between Central Park and Riverside Park!
