We went as a group, including kids. The service was fantastic. Experienced waiters, old school Italian. The food is good, and will please most people looking for Italian food in NYC that is not overpriced. The atmosphere is cozy and would be good for couples as well.

This place: hands down. the BEST Italian food in NYC. Pasta is cooked to perfection and handmade by the chef!!! Unreal. The tiramisu is the best I have EVER had. Be sure to try the lobster ravioli special if they have it! The welcoming service creates an environment that feels like home and an experience all its own. If you want a non tourist taste of Italy, this is New York City’s best kept secret.

Came here with family and friends and it was very delicious. I ordered plain pasta with butter and Italian sausage with spinach and it was great. Most of the other people ordered either the lobster ravioli or the florentine steak and said it was awesome. The setting is calm, small and a bit cramped and dimly lit and more to the romantic side.

This is the only great Italian restaurant in Murray Hill. The prices are reasonable and everything is made with quality ingredients. The soups are excellent as well. They gave me a free dessert, which is always nice. As a chef I know good food and they are one of the best in town, and the only place in Murray Hill that is not horrible except Café Barilla, which does not deliver. Try the lobster ravioli or the Bianco veal with mushrooms. The mashed potatoes are excellent and come with most meals with mixed vegetables without having to pay extra like some places.

Amazing place! Great for a date night. Small, quiet setting with a very attentive wait staff. Please note, however, the prices on the menu listed here are completely incorrect. Essentially double all of them — which is more in line with what one would expect to pay in Midtown with this kind of food and atmosphere. My date couldn’t decide if she wanted lobster ravioli or the cheese gnocci, so he said, he’d just give her half portion of each! The wine the waiter suggested was excellent and reasonably priced($ 45). The burata/caprese was a lovely appetizer they put on two plates for us because they knew we were sharing. I had the shrimp pesto risotto — yum! And they even gave us a dessert on the house. Frickin’ lovely date — High recommend.

I came here last night with my friends. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. This would be a great place for a date! The prices were a bit high but it was worth the experience. The food was great and the dessert was amazing. You should definitely order the tiramisu! It was light and phenomenal. Can’t wait to come here again!

My favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant hands down. Familiar Italian dishes with a homemade touch and an endless list of specials(i don’t even both reading the menu somtimes). Here are some of my favorites: — mixed mushrooms salad — pear and goat cheese salad — spaghetti with broccoli rabe(vegetarian) — lasagna special — osso bucco special — seabass special Dimly lit, great Italian soundtrack. Good for families, accommodating for parties, and comfortable for dates!

I had an incredible dining experience at Trattoria Belvedere in September 2015. The wine list was diverse and we began with a tasty Pinot Grigio per suggestion of our server. We then sampled many of the appetizers and salads and enjoyed all of them. Our party of three also split an entrée as an appetizer. This accommodation was one of my favorite courses: the Pesto Risotto dish possessed a tasty blend of herb and fine cheese. It was a well balanced combination of textures and ingredients. My main course was a wonderful Lobster Ravioli. I savored every bite and completely recommend this entrée. It was my sister’s birthday and the owner brought out a tiramisu for her. I completely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the New York City area. I had an incredibly well rounded dining experience!

This is a neighborhood gem! We ate here and also ordered takeout the following weekend it was so good! The service was wonderful, the food authentic and delicious. I had the special brown butter pear ravioli — oh my, it was fantastic. My man had the lasagna Bolognese and I couldn’t stop eating his dish. We started with the burata caprese and finished with tiramisu — both were fresh and tasty. Our servers even brought us port on the house with the dessert. Great experience.

Came here for an office lunch. It might’ve been weird timing, because the restaurant was empty. The lighting is very dark, and the décor is elegant. The restaurant is pretty pricey, but the service is great. We shared the asparagus with brown butter and cheese(I think?). I normally do not like asparagus, but that was one of the best asparagus dishes I have ever had. I got the italian sausage with spinach, which was literally four pieces of sausage on a bed of spinach. But I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t the best spinach I have ever had. It almost felt like I wasn’t eating a vegetable. However, it got a little bit overwhelming towards the end, because it was a little too much spinach for one sitting. The sausages were nothing special. He also gave us tiramisu on the house for no reason, and it tasted amazing. It was an intense 10 seconds, because that’s how long it took for us to devour it.

We are from San Diego and consider ourselves food experts. All I can say… OHHHMYYYGODDDD. Best dinner everrrr!!! We had a glass of cab and the pours were ridiculously amazing. I ordered the gnocchi and it may have been the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. The bill was large but we enjoyed every second. They also gave us a complimentary tiramisu which was amazing!!! We highly recommend this little hole in the wall!!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while we were in the city for a date night. Had a great homey feel and very attentive service. The décor has a lot of character and makes you feel like you’re at your Italian grandmas house. In all the good ways. We will definitely be back at one point or another. Order the Tiramisu!

Great Italian food with great prices. Had the lasagna and it was excellent. The tiramasu was great too. Best part was that the restaurant had a neighborhood feel to it. The waiters were straight off the boat Italian. The list of specials was quite lengthy. That made it very interesting.

Every few weeks I get a craving for Trattoria Belvedere’s Fettuccine Pesto and/or their Fettuccini Alfredo. I love both. They make it the real correct old school way, really heavy and yum. They are very quick, at least with this dish and I am always very happy. And it is a nice touch the way it opens onto the sidewalk.

I love Italian food from the Tuscany region. And if you’re looking for a non-pretentious environment that really makes you feel like family(sorry, Olive Garden), head to Trattoria Belvedere in Murray Hill. Everything here is made and served with lots of love and attention to detail. To start, we were served a complimentary Bruschetta E Pomodoro(Italian bread with tomatoes). The bread is crisp on the outside and just toasted enough to hold up the generous amounts of fresh tomatoes, lightly dressed in olive oil and pepper. For appetizers, we ordered a couple of things. First, I had Mozzarella E Pomodoro(fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and basil). This was really great. The tomatoes are fresh, plump and flavorful, and the mozzarella is rich and creamy. The olive oil and basil all bring the dish together very nicely. Next, I had their Grilled Calamari. The portion was generous, and the squid had a really nice char to it. I usually really prefer a nice grilled calamari as opposed to fried and breaded, so this was perfect. For my entrée, I had one of the specials that night, Yellowfin Tuna with sautéed spinach. This was really nice. The fish was seasoned very simply, letting the tuna shine and not get overpowered. I especially liked the sautéed spinach with had a really unique balance between crisp and charred and soft and creamy.
