Specialties
Trading Post is an American Restaurant and Bar, nestled into a gorgeous cobblestone corner of South Street Seaport. Our fare is classic American with an innovative twist: tomahawk chop on the bone, a range of fresh seafood, farmers market salad with nine vegetables and an extensive raw bar. Trading Post expands over three floors, including a whiskey cellar and an upstairs seating area with water views.
Trading Post serves lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
History
Established in 2013.
Trading Post was built by residents of the Financial District for residents and visitors of the neighborhood. The owners of Trading Post have all worked or lived in the Lower Manhattan for over ten years.
As far as the name, «trading posts» were traditionally «places for people to meet and exchange the news of the world» at a time before newspapers. The team has brought a modern touch to this concept: chic, stylish minimalism, sumptuous leather, private nooks, dark woods and a sense of intimacy and calm in the midst of the Wall Street bustle.
