Amazing lunch! I didn’t have much time but staff recommended the salad with artichoke and the shrimp. Both were fantastic! Highly recommend!

Amazing tapas! I came here for lunch and shared plates and also had my own sandwich. We had ham croquettes, Spanish omelette, shrimp in garlic, all so so good. I’ve actually never had a Spanish omelette and I want that for breakfast everyday! I had the pork belly sandwich which was so delicious and juicy, it’s the perfect size for a lunch. Service was good at first but then I think our waitress forgot about us, and took a little bit of time to get us checks. I’ll definitely be coming back to get that sandwich for lunch!

ATMOSPHERE: Walk in, narrow walkway with bar on the left and tables in the front, across the bar, and in the back. We came after Sleep No More on a Friday evening, around 11, and were seated right away. Extremely welcoming when we arrived, and patient with us while we somewhat non soberly played«catch the chickpea in your mouth» across the table from each other for the large duration of the meal. Thank you, Tia Pol. FOOD: We ordered the skirt steak special, and it was cooked to order. Overall, amazing. Juicy, and went very well with the selection of bread we had with our cheese plate. Also high recommend the fried chickpeas. DRINKS: Ordered Spanish equivalent of Cab, and it was fantastic, and not too pricey. Don’t know about their HH specials. OVERALL: For us, it was a great late night unwind dinner spot, but it may have a different vibe earlier in the evening, or on a weeknight. Either way, GETTHATSKIRTSTEAK, YA’LL.

Terrific Spanish food for after an afternoon spent walking the Highline. Quesos variados, jamon croquetos, grilled sausage special, the bruschetta — all were delicious, served freshly and/or warmly(as appropriate). Our waiter helped us select the right number and variety of dishes. If you are looking for a quieter experience, ask for the booth in the back — one can still hear the music and general restaurant buzz, while carrying on a civilized conversation. Bravo!

We came here with our kids and we all loved it! Our kids are 11 and 14 and fairly willing to try new foods. We ate a number of things and enjoyed them all– Patatas bravas Ham croquettes Paquetitos de jamon Queso variadas Gambas ajillo Pan de tomaca We also tried the grilled sausage and skirt steak specials. All FANTASTIC! Ambience is awesome! Arturo, our waiter, was wonderful and super helpful. Didn’t have space for dessert — maybe next time. We will be back for sure!

What a good surprise. We walked by one Sunday after open house. The space is cozy, creative, and comfortable. The hostess /bar tender was friendly and relaxed. The food reminded me so much good times in hopping tapas bars in Spain Love love the well but simply done Pan Con Tomate; the Patats Bravas is the better I’ve tasted in NYC; Croquetas De Jamn Y Croqueta Del Da was just creamy and yummy. On top of all, Plato De Jamn Serrano was perfectly sliced(I dislike the tapas bars that do not sliced the Jamn Serrano properly)

By far my favorite place for dinner in the city. The restaurant is small, cozy, authentic. Great food, great wine, great ambiance, great staff. Favorite items: peppers, olives, almonds, ensalada mixta, steak and whatever else they list as specials on the chalkboard. They serve Spanish beers and Spanish wines(so don’t come in and order a cocktail or Merlot).

Came here with a group of 8 people and had the back room. The place looks very low key but the prices are not. Nothing that I tried was good enough for a second round. We all left hungry and with a huge hole in our pocket. I still don’t know what the hype is about this place…

This place is a classic and an institution in my eyes. It never disappoints. The wine list is always solid and changing. We love to get the tortilla, patatas bravas, lamb skewers, shishito peppers, stuffed piquillo peppers, and something off the specials menu.

Absolutely love this place! It’s my favorite out of all NYC. The pigs ear which is a special is always something I look forward to. It is my happy place. I have the best time when I’m there. Food is amazing, service is great. I can’t have enough good things to say about this place.

We ended up here by accident and it was just perfect ! We had a wonderful lunch: paquetitos de jamón, croquetas, patatas bravas, pan con tomate & salsas… and sangria! The most delicious was one of their dessert: torta de santiago! Fantastic place. We will definitely go back if we are back in the city

The Brut Cava is a great drink to start with if you are going for tapas. My friend lives in the neighborhood, so she goes there often and she recommended the crispy artichoke and asparagus salad for $ 13 to start, and it was much tastier than it looks; the crisp artichoke added a nice earthy texture to the tender romaine and white asparagus, and the lemon vinaigrette perfectly dressed the salad. One person could easily make a meal of this if they weren’t very hungry. Since I love anchovies, I got two of the olive, pepper, and anchovy skewers for $ 2 each, and they were so good, I forgot to take a photo before eating one! The lamb skewers with Moorish spices at $ 7 for two were perfect little bites of flavorful meat. The crispy marinated fish with lemon for $ 12 was a bigger plate and we were very happy splitting the plate that would’ve been too much with all the other plates we had ordered. She wanted the patatas bravas for $ 8 with a spicy aioli, and I took a bite just for research:) The classic flan for $ 6 was a smooth sweet way to end the night.

Listen to me: go here with a date and thank me later. Their selection of tapas is very eclectic and their staff have some great recommendations. The wines are great. The food is great. The servers are beautiful. The music is ideal. Awesome vibe. Do yourself a favor and go here.

I’ll be honest, I never left a review for this place because I didn’t want other people to know about it. Now I think it’s a little late for that. What I recommend: sangria pinchos murunos: lamb skewers/kobabs — a little on the expensive side but totally worth it! 5⁄5 patatas bravas: fried potatoes with aioli — best I’ve had in NYC, do let me know if you know a better place. 5⁄5 gambas al ajillo/pil pil: shrimp in garlic and spicy oil. 5⁄5 artichoke salad: really nice if you want some greens to go with your meal. 5⁄5 shishitso pepers: blistered shishitso peppers deviled eggs leche frita: fried dough with a cream filling 5⁄5

Came here with a group of 6 in the back room and had a great time. Service was attentive and all of the food was good with a few standouts. Crispy pig ears special killed it. Patatas bravas are everyone’s favorite for a reason. Cockles were cooked perfectly. They kept bringing the bread so we could dip it in all of the sauces that came with each dish. Sangria was a bit weak, but that was the only real blemish.

Nothing special at all. We were sitting at the bar first and the bar tender manage to shatter a big bottle right in front of us then we were moved to a table right in front of bathroom! I mean it felt like we were eating next to the toilet bowl(Disgusting!) there should not be a table that close to the bathroom! In terms of food, octopus salad was nice but everything else was just mediocre to below average! Do not recommend!

Been meaning to go to a local tapas restaurant for awhile now. The last experience I had wasn’t a good one, but Tia Pol made up for that. I now have hope for NYC tapas. Came here on a random weeknight and was able to be seated right away(next to the bathroom, yay!). Ordered wine and then placed our orders. Had the octopus salad, cockles and squid ink rice with aioli. The squid ink rice was probably the best, and large portions too. The aioli was a bit heavy, and you only needed small amounts, so it’s good that it came on the side. I was a fan of the octopus salad as well, which had nice chunks of octopus. The white beans were a good complement too. All in all, a pretty good meal, but it’s a bit out of the way and the ambiance isn’t great(very dark, loud and cramped). Worth trying though!

Came here for a business lunch and it was really, really delicious! We had the omelette, chorizo, shisito peppers, shrimp great(though, maybe a little heavy handed on garlic) and spectacular sangria. The tables are super small, so be prepared to be put your glasses and the jug(of sangria, if that’s what you get) on the bench seat next to you. There’s not enough room for all the dishes that arrived at once. I’m just glad I didn’t spill sangria or water all over my lap! Service was also excellent!

Definitely one of the better tapas bars in NYC. Don’t get to go here as often as I’d like, since it’s out of the way for me. This last time I happened to be in meatpacking and stopped in here for a late dinner. We ordered three dishes to share: octopus salad, cockles with garlic and white wine, and squid ink rice with cuttlefish and parsley aioli. Apparently we were in the mood for seafood. The octopus salad paired nicely with the white beans and had nice seasoning, although I thought it was going to be large pieces instead of bite-size ones. The cockles were heavily laden with garlic(which is a good thing in my book), not so much on the white wine, but they were really good. My favorite was the squid ink rice and cuttlefish, which was plated really cool with a very generous portion of parsley aioli. Truthfully, while the squid ink rice and cuttlefish were fine, it was the aioli that really brought the dish together. Didn’t get any of my go-to tapas this time(gambas, patatas bravas) but it was nice to see that they do everything well, not just the traditional plates. Service was very attentive, although that probably had more to do with sitting near the ordering station.

Elevated… top notch. I’m not a big seafood fan so pardon me if I focus on my favorites here– the meat and potatoes. The restaurant was small and a bit dark. We went on an off night at an off hour, so we didn’t experience much of a crowd or wait at all and service was friendly but brisk. What I absolutely loved: patatas bravas — We ordered two plates for our party of four. They were that good. croquetas — As good as we’ve had(and everyone at the table had been to Spain at least once) the freakin’ Spanish olives huevos — deviled eggs that could bedevil the devil himself chicken liver mousse — so unexpectedly wonderful Honorable mention: octopus salad — again, not my thing chorizo — tasty but not that elevated We’re going to come back here A LOT…

Tia Pol is my favorite restaurant in the city. I’ve been her a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The croquettas, patatas bravas and the blistered hot peppers are some of my favorite dishes. The wine list is extensive and the red sangria is the best. Great place for a date or small party, as the restaurant is small. They also take reservations now, which is a plus!

Cozy joint with great service. The warmth of the space was enhanced by the quick and beautiful staff. I had the house cava which wasn’t too sweet and very fruity/fresh. For the small dishes I choose traditional olives, the cold octopus salad with beans and the mushroom confit. All were delicious and very filling on my Chelsea art walk. Will return and have many meals in the future.

The food at Tia Pol was four star. The service was three star. My friends and I arrived towards the end of the evening and sat at the bar. The bartenders and servers were — well, not really rude, but just not warm or friendly at all. The food was delivered quickly, so I guess they get stars for efficiency. The food is typical of Spanish tapas menus, and its taste and quality were typical as well. Unfortunately, there was nothing that stood out to me as the best I’ve had here in NYC, but especially in Spain. I prefer gambas larger and sizzling in olive oil or garlic butter — these were small and the sauce was lukewarm. The chorizo perhaps was my favorite of all the dishes we tried. The sauce on the patatas bravas here is quite special. Tia Pol is well liked by many people. Perhaps it was the timing of my visit, but a little hospitality and warmth could go a long way to making the place even better.

REALLY awesome tapas place, had a great time here for dinner. I was worried about how«spanish» the menu was(typical spanish tapas can be meh) but this turned out to be probably one of my favorite meals I’ve had recently. Each dish is between $ 4 – 8 for a small, which gives you enough for two people to have a few bites each. Some have larger portions which doubles what you get. We were able to create our own«tasting menu» with 12 courses for about $ 70 a person and tried about half the menu. Since most of the recommendations here are not on the menu anymore or were for specials, heres what we thought of what’s available: Least Favorites: Mushroom and goat cheese Fried fish Green peppers with sea salt Octopus salad Most Favorites: Lamb skewers Patatas Bravas — Potatoes with spicy sauce Txipirones en su tinta — Squid in ink over rice Ham coquettes Chicken liver mousse Leche fritas(dessert) Torta de Santiago(desert) Also, the red Sangria was delicious and sweet. It was $ 9 a glass or $ 36 pitcher which gave us about 6 glasses Service was amazing and the food was flying out of the kitchen. Had no issues with wait time between dishes. I can definitely can see myself coming back.

Came here after New York Fashion Week show. Day was incredibly cold, we did not want to walk too far — the location was just perfect. It’s amazingly cozy, even at the bar. We settled in the nook right by storefront window and ordered wine — and from the start, I give them props for perfectly chilling it to right temperature. Crisp, clean, light glass of white was exactly what I needed. Menu is extensive, and true to tapas traditions. I seriously wanted to try everything. There are specials on the board by the bar too, check them out! Here is what we tried: Marcona Almonds — nice, light, and completely different from regular almonds. I freaking miss Spain now. Gildas — Anchovies, Peppers & Olives skewers. Delish. They had me at anchovies — need I say more? Ham & Cheese croquettes — soft and warm inside, crisp on outside, bite-sized heaven on a plate. Lastly, we had Garbanzos Fritos — excellent snack to indulge during conversation. Did you guess where am I going with all this? Going back for more, obviously! Just thinking about their tapas makes me hungry.
