Tickets are so difficult to get because he is so popular. We were lucky to get monologue tickets. Security is very tight. No pictures are allowed. The monologue tickets are well worth it. It’s an intimate audience that you’re included in. It’s just you, Jimmy and maybe a member of the Roots. we were actually able to see him do his thank you notes. We had a good time

I attended the 1÷22÷2016 taping and it was definitely a fun experience. I had never been to a live show taping before and it was really cool. Plus, Jimmy is so charming and likable — he made it totally worthwhile. I got to high five him and he went out into the audience and answered a lot of questions. The comic that entertained the audience before and after the show was great too.
GETTING TICKETS:
Tickets are free. You can get them either online or by waiting in a standby line. I’d really recommend the online option if you can do it that way. Only a few people in the standby line actually get in. To get tickets online — go to the website and read the full instructions. Follow @FallonTix on Twitter and they will announce when the ticketing will open. You need to make an 1iota account to request tickets so make sure you do this in advance. On the announced day and time, log on, refresh your browser once at the correct time, and you should see the date options on top. Scroll to your desired date and request. Then if you did all this quickly enough, you will be put on the waitlist. Then, 2 weeks prior to the requested date, if all goes well, you should receive a status change e-​mail. The tickets are still not guaranteed until you log on and confirm them! So keep your eyes peeled for the e-​mail and do this quickly. Once they are confirmed, you’re all set. It asks you for your guest names online and then you wait for your taping date.
ONLINE TICKETING TIPS:
–Obviously, pick your desired date in advance. Idk if it’s a good idea to request multiple dates, I didn’t do it just in case. I don’t actually watch the Tonight Show so I didn’t think of this but the guests are better earlier in the week! I picked a Friday thinking it was better but nope, less people watch then and the guests may not be as exciting.
–Once you select your desired date, there is a question that asks why you think you should get the tickets. I scrambled to type something quickly and it didn’t seem to waste too much time but I recommend having something ready to copy and paste.
–I put a very professional/​cute looking photo of myself in my 1iota profile — idk if this made a difference but I figured it couldn’t hurt
DAY OF:
My tickets said that we must check in by 3:45 and that they recommend getting there at 3:15, 30 minutes prior. We got there a bit earlier to be safe and were told to come back at 3:15. I’d say come back at 3:05 — 3:10 and just hang back by the front door or at the Godiva store across the way. I didn’t see an organized line of people, people were just standing around haphazardly in the lobby, right outside the NBC studio staircase, and at some point, they started letting them in. I was nervous because the tickets said entry was not guaranteed and that they hand out more tickets than seats to ensure a full audience. Also, once we got upstairs, there was a long line of people that must have already been there. I assumed these were VIP ticket holders (friends and family tickets perhaps). So to be safe, just get there a bit earlier, before 3:15 and once they start letting people in, try to get to the front. Then you go upstairs and wait in line, get your actual tickets with the seating numbers, go wait in the lounge for a while (there is a bathroom) and then go in to get seated.
DAY OF TIPS:
–Don’t forget your photo ID — for each guest. They do this so you can’t sell the tickets.
–If you get there rather early and realize you can’t possibly sit through an hour long taping without eating something first, your best bet is to go downstairs (stairs right across from the front door area) and you will encounter a slew of casual restaurants and coffee shops. No need to go outside into the cold. Plus this area doesn’t have the best food options…
–Don’t overdo it on the beverages. There’s a bathroom in the lounge area but you can’t get up during the taping and why would you want to? Their commercial breaks are really short also.
–You will go through security so leave anything questionable at home. Pepper spray isn’t a big deal — they gave me a little tag for mine and I just had to get it at the end of the show. Maybe just leave it at home to avoid the hassle. The security personnel was really nice actually.
–You can still use your phone in the lounge but they ask you to turn it off right before you enter the studio
–There’s no coat check, you bring everything to your seat. They might not let you bring larger bags and not sure if they give you the option to stash them somewhere so just don’t bring anything gigantic. I brought a smaller purse and tucked it under the seat.
–I read these theories about the number/​letter codes for seats and I am not sure. Just look nice/​presentable and don’t overthink it. I had a double letter code and ended up with a great seat in the 4^th row, aisle (high five territory).
–Have fun and clap a lot!

A TV show on Unilocal?So strange.
I scored tickets and brought a few friends. Stayed in a nearby hotel and walked to the studio. Got there about 1 ½ hours early, got our tickets, then waited longer to get back in line. Waited in line a looooong time and then we were escorted to the studio. Had an amazing time! Highly recommend this unique experience!
The 4 – 6 standby people got in too!

It’s tough to get tickets (I got mine because of a great standby ticket number), but if you get in, it’s fantastic.
Online — you have to have your device ready to select the tickets at the exact time he announces on Twitter. Even that isn’t a solid bet, unfortunately. For standby, you’ll have to wait under the NBC marquee at a ridiculous hour, but usually the top 10 tickets have a great shot of getting into the show. Expect more for a major storm — I think there was a major snowstorm in upstate NY on the day that I got in along with 20 others. Sorry for you, happy for me?
I honestly can’t remember who the guests were when I saw the show, but I didn’t even care. Jimmy Fallon is entertaining & funny all on his own. He probably could’ve invited a 2×4 and I would’ve loved it.
No cell phones, no bathroom breaks, no food or drink. think about it — when you watch TV, do you ever see anyone in the audience enjoying a snack, or texting, or doing the awkward «scuse-​me-​while-​I-​crawl-​literally-​on-​top-​of-​you-​to-​make-​it-​to-​the-​aisle-​to-​go-​to-​the-​bathoom» shuffle? Nope, they’re all there to enjoy the show! :)
I don’t know if I’ll ever crack the code of online ticketing & standby was pretty exhausting… but if I don’t get into the audience for this again, I’m thrilled with the experience that I did have!

I loveeeeeeeeeeee Jimmy and was ecstatic that I finally got my hands on some tickets. JT wasn’t a guest that night (bummer) but great show nonetheless.
It’s quite the process but well worth it! Make sure you’re all signed up for a 1iota account, or else you’ll be scrambling when tickets are released and will probably miss the few minute window before everything is *sold out*. Tickets for the following month are released a month prior, usually the first week. The tonight show site will have this information or you can follow their twitter. Set your alarms and have a date in mind, or else, you snooze, you lose. Everyone is placed on a wait list so don’t fret thinking that was it. Now yu just have to wait around for that dreaded email letting you know if you’ve been approved. Once you get that approval email, go onto the site asap to accept because those are not guaranteed. Neither is the accepted ticket, which is why you should adhere to the check-​in times printed on the ticket.
Now onto the day of, I work in the area so wasn’t as stressed to get to the studio. We got there around 3:15, the start of check in and luckily all the waiting was done inside. Be aware that once you go up those stares, they’re sticklers about you taking pics so put the cameras away or be yelled at/​risk of getting kicked out. You will eventually get a ticket with letter indicators on the back and a wristband and led into the waiting area. Once you’re in, there’s no turning back! We were there for about a bit and then they started calling us in batches based on the lettering behind our ticket and herd us up to the studio.
It seems that they have the system down packed and have a process when it comes to seating everyone. Don’t get too excited to sit up front and center, your view may be obstructed by the cameras and cue cards. Luckily we had the side section seats and they were great. There’s a comedian that warms the crowd up and the roots come out jamming. And then at long last, we were ready to go! Jimmy brings so much energy to the set and is super humble. He even engaged the audience in conversation during a break and answered any questions we had. Sitting in the aisle even earned me a high five from him in the end!
Overall, a great experience and I can’t wait to go to another show… in six months! Tip: They’re serious about the phones so put them away. Someone got kicked out when she tried to sneakily peeked at her device.

If you can get tickets — you will have a pretty kick ass experience. We went right before they took the tree down so we had a great view of the tree and the rink from the upstairs tagging area at Rockefeller Center.
We were told to get there early for good seats. I don’t think that matters too much but don’t be late. As long as you look good from the waist up and smile, you will get a good seating place IMO. It’s such an intimate area in the studio that no matter where you sit, you can see everything.
The staff are fierce when it comes to NO EATING/​DRINKING in the studio. I got warned for putting a life saver in my mouth during a commercial break!
Jimmy is awesome, he ran up and down the stairs, high fiving everyone in the aisle seats (THAT was great!). The atmosphere is electric and you will definitely have a great time. Enjoy!

Let me help you with this whole new process:
Lets say, you plan to be in NYC sometime next year. You will need to plan about 2 months in advance for this process. Follow the JF show on Twitter, Facebook, smoke signals, whatever they will offer. Then as the time gets closer you will see what dates filming are. (My sister and I only had one day of our trip that they were filming).
Then find out through Twitter what day the tickets open. You will need to sign up on Iota in advance, do not wait until the day of, it’s too crazy and you might cry. Seriously, this process can be stressful.
When the tickets open up, you and who ever you are going with need to be online, clicking the button and screaming at your internet connection as you try to get tickets. You can’t get more than 4 at a time and you can’t go back more than 1x in a 6 month period.
Then you are put on a waiting list. And you wait. until about 2 weeks before the recording for them to tell you if you got tickets. If you didn’t… it will be silent, and you can hear yourself cry.
BUT, if you are lucky and your SISTER gets the tickets for both of you, then you can scream and jump around again.
Now. here goes the process:
You get to the NBC studios. You walk around the shops because you got there too early and can’t imagine what you are going to do with yourself. Then you see the pretty girl holding a basket of candy that says, «You can come back around 3:00 and we should be lining up around 3:30, here is some candy, now please go away.» (You can’t help by like her, because she gave you candy and that’s awesome. Don’t be mean to her, trust me.)
Then if you stand around and BS, you might see Qwest Love (my sister almost fell over) and other stars as they come in.
Around 3:15 some very loud guy will come out and tell you how it all works. Then you line up and are told DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS. Come on people, don’t take damned photos, not that hard! You will get kicked out, they have cameras everywhere and people watching you be a fool.
You go through ID checks, purse checks (don’t bring bags, you will have to find a place to stash it) and then you sit in a very comfy room with all the other people with your wristband and tickets.
White tickets– Give to them by someone at the show.
Orange tickets– Online
Then there are numbers and letters
Numbers are typically younger people, a few older but mostly young.
Letters are older folks in 30’s and 40’s.
It doesn’t really matter in the end. The seats are all great (groups 4 and bigger are typically in the middle seats) Seats with 2 people usually are on the ends. (My sister and I had Letter J, we got to sit on the end and knuckle punch JF) It’s all worth it.
There is a comedian that gets the crowd all warmed up, he is soooo funny! Gets everyone going and ready for Roots and JF. By the time the show starts you can’t help but be charged up.
The Voice coaches were awesome, so neat to see them in person and hear them.
Mike Tyson is a white hot mess and they cut a lot of his interview.
It was a fun time, JF comes up to the audience during commercial breaks and talks with ya, he’s soo nice and kind.
It’s a wonderful afternoon and afterward, purchase a JF hoodie, I get TONS of compliments on it now!

How could you give it anything less than 5 stars??? The electricity of the day was palatable. And it was a full day! Allow me to share the details.
We arrived at the stand-​by line around 7:45 for the 9:00 hand out. We were 18^th and 19^th in line. I think if we got there 30 minutes earlier we could have gotten a lower number. But I digress… They make it very clear the you are in the STAND-​BY line! This is not a guarentee you will get tickets! Also, DO NOT BRING A BAG TO THE FILMING. They will not let you in.
We were handed our tickets promptly at 9 and were told to return at 3:15 to find out if we got in. We took the middle of the day and headed to the SNL Exhibition, you can read my review of them on the SNL Exhibition page. Then we headed back in order to get back to 30 Rock on time. Once at the The NBC Experience, the paiges line you up and you wait until around 3:45 to find out if you are lucky enough to be chosen. 3:45 they make the first cut (I still don’t understand why they make «cuts»). 4:00 they emerge and tell the remaining crowd who is in. We had made it! They took 21 of us. We were off to see Jimmy! We were ushered into a waiting room with everyone where you wait 15 minutes or so before the start of the show. This is where you go to the bathroom. Go now because they do not allow anyone to get up while recording is taking place.
Lastly, you’re ushered into the theatre where they warm you up for 15 minutes or so, the Roots come out and everyone goes nuts, then of course, Jimmy comes out and everyone loses it. The show started and ran VERY efficiently. Sandra Bullock was adorable, Rod Stewart was kind of a punk, and the show was such a treat. It took a little over an hour. We were out by 6:15, plenty of enough time to make our 7:00 Book of Mormon show :)The Tonight Show encourages audience interaction/​participation so don’t be afraid to cheer or whistle or hoot or holler or whatever you do to show you’re excited.
It’s very important to note: if you do not make it in the last cut, do not despair! There was only 4 people behind us into the theatre and by the time we were all seated, there were about 15 seats left. If you do not make it past one of the initial cuts, STICK AROUND!!! They were in a mad rush to find people to fill those remaining seats. I feel terrible for all of those people that thought they were out of luck.
Don’t think of this as a waste of a day. You spend a little time in the morning, and an hour or so waiting to see if you get in. If you make it, obviously it’s a great time. If you don’t, you can at least say you gave it a shot. And it is worth a shot.

If you can make it to a show, I definitely recommend it. It’s a lot of fun but it does take planning and some patience. (this is crazy long but looks like there have been a couple changes since the last reviews)
getting tickets– as soon as we knew when we would be in town, I checked on tickets. They hadn’t been released for the the month so I regularly checked twitter until the date of the release was announced. I was waiting to click on the dates I wanted as soon as they went available. I had read that you could select multiple days but this didn’t seem to work, I was only wait listed for 1 of my choices even though it let me go through the motions for the other days. Not sure what was going on but I would suggest picking the day you want most first.
A few weeks after being wait listed I got an email that my tickets had changed status to reserved.
Day of the show. Our email said the check in deadline was 3:45. We got there a little before 3, found where we thought we needed to be and found a page to confirm. She said we didn’t need to wait in line our seats were already reserved and there wasn’t a line just some people standing around. We made half a loop, looking in 1 shop, and when we came around the corner there was a huge line. We got in line but not sure if that was necessary or not but we were going to be standing there anyway.
They started letting people in (about 3:15/3:20) and we went upstairs to another line. At this point we could use our phones but no pictures were allowed even though it was only tonight show logos etc. We were then sent through a line to get out tickets and wrist bands. We showed our IDs and were given tickets which made us think they were looking at our age and giving us tickets accordingly. We are in our early 30’s and we got a purple ticket, number 4. We then went to the peacock lounge where we had to stay until the show and could not take pictures. So we had our tickets only during the time we couldn’t take pictures. The pages walked around and made small talk but it was a pretty boring chunk of time. There are tv type screens set up on mantle-​ish shelves that show pictures from the show.
I was so curious to see how the ages broke down as we went into the show. The first group called was the alphabet, in 2 or 3 chunks. The first group was all really young people. The next group was still young people and after that it was more of a mix. But it really did seems like the first group was all the youngest people.
As they called the groups of tickets it sorta felt like being the last one picked in a schoolyard-​style pick. After the alphabet they then called white tickets (after asking 3 pages I finally got that it was people who got tickets from someone at the show).
Finally it was our turn to line up. They had us line up in specific order so we were close to the front of the line and then we were put on an elevator and then stood in another line to go into the theater. They sat us on about the 8^th of 12(?) rows –middle section– on the end 2 seats of an empty row (left side when facing the stage).which seemed the worst seating method ever. but we were really excited that we might get high fives. They then filled the rows in so we had to stand up to let people through several times.
The actual show was fun and the roots were awesome. My favorite part was the promos they did during commercial breaks.
We both got high fives at the end of the show, we weren’t sure if we would make it on tv since he started on the other side but we did!

After changing the ticketing process, I was immediately placed on a waiting list. I was notified 12 days prior to the show that I got tickets. After a year and a half of trying, I finally got tickets!
Read your instructions on your ticket and you’ll be fine. Pretty smooth process of checking in. Very cool experience! One more bucket list item checked off. I’m only sad that I wasn’t close enough to high five Jimmy. The Roots sounded awesome.

Awesome experience high fiving Jimmy Fallon. Word of advice, I would say just show your face 2:30 and ask the guy what time to come back. I think they tell people different times based on where they want you to come in at. While on the show, clap when they tell you and laugh out loud! (LOL) Have fun, and don’t grab Jimmy’s hand!

I based my trip off what others said about their visits. Apparently they made some changes recently so here’s how they do things now. First things first you check in for your tickets at 2:45 not 2:30. Don’t bother going early bc the page will tell you to leave. In fact it best to be a little late. We were a little late bc my husbands friend had a backpack which they don’t allow. (Here’s a tip if you forget this rule one of the stores nearby will hold your bag, they did my husbands friends) So once you go to check in you show them ID and they give you a ticket. On the back of this ticket is either a number or a letter. They no longer base what letter or number you get on age as previously stated. It’s just alphabetical then start the numbers. Since we were late we got Y. I was nervous about Y from what other said but as I said before it’s better to be late.
They take you in alphabetically so we were last of the letters to go in. We had the best seats. 4^th row on the left side. I was lucky enough to get an aisle seat so I got to high five Jimmy at the end.
The show itself is better live than on TV. We weren’t not that excited for Tom Cruise but he was actually hysterical. The Roots are amazing live. The sound system in the theater is just so great.
You can go back once every 6 months. I plan on going back. It’s a fun day. A long day but a fun day. I believe we left a little after 6.

Best experience ever! Got great seating… FRONT ROW!!! Got to see everything! I was excited to see Jimmy so close to me when he did his monologue! Great behind the scenes experience. Totally recommend going thats if you’re able to reserve tickets! The staff is friendly and direct.

I got really lucky one day and signed on to look for tickets the day this show opened their ticket reservation link. I was able to snag four tickets! It was such an amazing experience that I highly recommend everyone to try. I have heard it’s a hit or miss (which I completely agree) because when I tried a couple months later, it was a huge bust (despite using multiple devices). The check in is very simple. You grab your ticket number and come back a couple hours later for the show. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Had so much fun at the Tonight Show that if you ever get a chance while in NY you should definitely try to see if you can grab tickets (which are FREE) to come watch a taping.
Getting Your Tickets:
The tickets for the Tonight show come out during the first week of the month for the following months shows (I.e. Dates for the month of February come out during the first week of January). I followed the Tonight Show Twitter handle to find out the exact date and time; they’ll tweet it out a few days before as well as the day of. When it does come out be sure to be ready to click into the site because once ticket distribution opens you want to make sure you’re ready to click into the virtual queue. My friend and I both clicked into the site right when they were released and LUCKILY he got in before the tickets were sold out and grabbed 3 for our party (you can get up to 4 tickets). I got in a few minutes after him and they were already sold out — they go fast!
The Day Of The Show:
You go to the 2^nd floor of the Rockefeller Center the around 2.5 hours (2:30ish) before the taping to get your actual tickets. They warn you that it’s first come first serve. When you do get your tickets they write a letter or a number on it and tell you what time to come back (4:00). We realized later that they give the younger crowd letters (we got «K» for kids) and the older crowd numbers (LOL). The taping happens at 5:00pm — NO cell phones! Overall it was a great experience. Jimmy Fallon seems like a very kind, funny, genuine guy and the whole process of the taping of this show is so detailed but works for the kind of production they’re creating. It was really fun being «behind the scenes» in a sense and then watching the show on TV to see how it was edited and the final product
Would definitely recommend!

My experience on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, had more twist and turns than a Twilight Zone marathon.
My friend invited me to join her and I agreed. I’m a fan of Jimmy, though I wasn’t dying to go. As the week progressed, I saw it was going to be difficult to pull off, and would have to bust tail out of work. It started to seem like a chore, until I heard THE FOO FIGHTERS would be on!
I went crazy! Super excited. The other guests were Amy Adams and Nick Offerman, so I knew I was in for a good show!
We arrived and my friend had some news for me. First, we we’re gonna score awesome seats. Second, they were giving out prizes for everyone in attendance. She wouldn’t tell me at first, except that the other taping was getting a 50 inch flat screen while we were getting something else that I might like better.
What on Earth could subjectively be a better generic prize than a 50 inch flat screen? I figured she assumed that I like playing video games (which I don’t), and guessed it was an XBox One. I was correct.
As we head in, we wait on lines, to wait on lines, to wait on lines. Just like my experience with SNL. Finally we get down to our seats, which are all the way off the side. Bummer. We are then notified that the Foo Fighters had prerecorded their performance. SUPER BUMMER!
Time for the show to start. Jimmy kills it, like always. The Roots were hitting all their notes. Nick Offerman did a wonderful rendition of T’was the Night Before Christmas. Things were good. I was wondering about that gift though. I was lied to twice, my heart couldn’t take another.
Jimmy gave out an ugly sweater which I would have loved. It said «Have a Meowey Christmas!» My mother would have loved it. Now for the moment of truth. Jimmy starts talking about gifts and reveals we will all be getting an XBox One, 2 $ 20 gift cards and a video game. (Note: I did not get the video game! Though I can’t complain too much) All in all, everything I got was at least $ 450 value.
After a great show, my friend and I celebrated. I bought dinner and drinks. Sold the XBox to a friend at a good price. Thank you Jimmy Fallon show! You provided me with an awesome experience, lots of laughs, and some extra cash for the holiday season! Bless you.

I would love to get in to a taping of one of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Shows but it’s damn near impossible to get a ticket. December tickets came out today at 11:30 AM EST and I refreshed my browser as instructed at that time on the dot. Right when the clock hit 11:30AM. I was constantly refreshing the few seconds before and it wouldn’t add me to the queue yet. I got in to the queue right after 11:30AM hit and assumed that meant I would probably get some kind of tickets for at least one day in the month. I was wrong… 10 minutes later the page refreshes by itself and I got a note saying all shows have been reserved. It’s crazy how fast these tickets go. I’m a little sad but will keep trying. Hopefully someone else had a more pleasant experience where they actually got some tickets!

What a great time as an audience member. The whole process of getting tickets is quite difficult. The only way to find out when they are released is to follow fallontonight on twitter. At exactly 11:30AM go on the website and refresh only once. If you refresh more than a few times you lose your place in the virtual line.
On the day of the taping arrive early and wait in line for your wrist bands and tickets at the NBC studios. Behind each ticket is either a letter or number. They give you some time to wander around but report to the lobby area next to the Godiva shop promptly at 345pm. They line you up based on alphabetical letter or number. It seemed that those with a letter were seated closer to the front. I was letter O and sat in the third row to the right. The studio is pretty cold so definitely bring a jacket. No photography whatsoever. All phones have to be turned off and if you are found using it then you’ll be escorted out.
I was there for the October 9^th taping. It lasts about 2 – 3 hours. The Roots live were amazing and so was seeing Jimmy. Even though you can’t take a picture with him at the end of the taping, he does go up and down the aisles to high five his fans.

Hey hey hey HEY!
I scored tickets to the Oct 17 taping of Jimmy Fallon by stalking the ticket website. I don’t use Facebook or Twitter really, so it was a crap shoot of checking every morning, several times a morning, during the first week of the month.
The hubs and I took the 10 am bus out of Philly and arrived in NYC a little before 1. We took off on foot towards Rockafeller Plaza (Center? Square?) and stopped for a slice of pizza on the way. We scoped out where the NBC Experience store was, and then checked out the Lego store for the first time ever. Finally at around 1:45, we returned to the NBC Experience store and went to the second floor.
We got in a line that had fully formed around the room and snaked to the top of the staircase. By 2:30, I’d say we were at the end of the first third of the total line length. We were briefed on the process. Promptly at 2:30, they started giving out tickets. Obviously the process at this point is a well oiled machine. By 2:45, we had our tickets and wristbands, and were sitting out in the sun by the ice rink.
We read a lot of reviews about how the younger crowd received letters and everyone else got numbers. After scoping out the number line and the letter line, I have to say this is true. We got the letter N. I feel like it was the ticketing lady’s way of saying «You guys are young and relatively attractive, but certainly not the youngest or hottest people I expect to see today.»
At 3:45, we returned to the area by the old TUMI store. It’s pretty clear where to go. We were then lined up according to our letters and corralled into a hallway. About 15 minutes later, the numbers were lined up into the hallway next to us and we were all briefed again on what the plan was — absolutely no phones, no food, and if you leave the studio you will not be allowed to return.
We were then all filed into an elevator a handful at a time and taken to studio 6B. By 4:15, we were seated. Once you file into the studio, they seat you where they want you to sit. People ahead of us were sent down to the left — we were sent down to the right of the studio (stage left?) and seated on the second row by the Roots in our own little 2-​seat section.
If you read the reviews, you’ll see people complain about how the front rows view gets blocked by the cameras that swoop in after the monologue. This is true for the front rows to the left of room. This was not true for us. The cameras were situated such that we were able to clearly see between them. It made for a great show.
It was the greatest experience ever! And yes, Jimmy’s hands are soft when he high fives as many people as he can. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. My husband and I saw Tariq from the Roots packing up his car in the street after the show. Even though he wanted to leave, he stopped and took a picture with my husband. He was really nice, and it made my husbands day to meet someone whose music he’s been enjoying for a very long time.
I will definitely be after tickets again in 6 months!

Such a process to get standby tickets, but was it worth it? HECK YEAH, ITS THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON!
Standby Process:
1. Get yourself to NBC Studios (underneath the marquee sign, across from Rockefeller Center) around or before 6am. I got there at 6:30pm, and I was #21. You’ll stand there for a couple of hours, bring something to read and/​or eat.
2. 9am: You’ll get your number.
3. Get back to studio at/​or around 3pm. Register and then wait downstairs inside, by the front doors where you stood earlier in the day. They’ll make announcements and line you up along a wall according to your number.
4. Pray your number gets called! They’ll make a first round call of numbers, DON’T get excited — you’re not in just yet. They’ll be making another cut…
5. Enjoy standing in lines for another hour and a half. Remember, its an all day process. Typically the show ends around 630−7pm. So if you want to catch a show afterward, you have the time.
I absolutely adored seeing Jimmy, he was just as humble as I thought he would be! He’s just as happy to be there, just as much as you are! Embrace your «feels» and Jimmy on!

What an incredibly great time!!! The whole process is very organized and enjoyable from beginning to end. Getting tickets when they are released online is the hard part since this is such a hot ticket but it is well worth it. I attended the July 31^st taping with Julia Roberts, Andy Cohen, and Ron Funches as the guests.
Being a big fan of Jimmy’s and the Tonight Show, it was so cool to see Fallon, the Roots, the set, and the guests up close and personal. Had an awesome seat right up front and center. The cameras do get in the way sometimes but that’s alright. Small price to pay. The audience sits about 225 and the set is smaller than you’d think making it very intimate. Jimmy is as joyful and enjoyable to watch as you’d expect, if not even better in person! It’s fun seeing the behind the scenes action and interactions between Jimmy and the stars during commercial break.
I would definitely love to enjoy this experience again! If you’re hesitate about going, don’t be! You’re guaranteed to have an awesome, memorable time. A phenomenal experience!

Jimmy Fallon est un animateur dont je suis les programmes depuis pas mal de temps dont «The Tonight Show» qu’il présente depuis 2014. Ma chance est d’avoir pu assister dans le public au 68ème numéro avec en invité vedette, Tom Cruise.
Les places sont accessibles en ligne mais partent très rapidement. Chaque jour entre le mardi et le vendredi, la direction de l’émission distribue des places dès 9h du matin. Les gens sont parfois déjà devant les locaux de la NBC à 6h00 pour être sur d’être dans les premiers.
Ces tickets s’appellent «stand by admission», autrement dit des accès numéroté en fonction du moment où l’on passé et qui permettent de remplacer des personnes qui se seraient désistés. Arrivés à 6h40, j’ai eu le numéro 6 ce qui me garantissait de bonnes chances.
Les photos et vidéos sont strictement interdites sous peines d’être virés sans ménagement (c’est eux qui le disent en guise d’avertissement simple mais sans ambiguïté). L’enregistrement s’étale entre 17h30 à 18h30 mais c’est dès 15h 45 qu’il faut être sur place pour s’installer dans la file d’attente par ordre de numéro.
Lorsque enfin on pénètre sur le plateau, la magie opère. Studio 6B au cinquième étage.Les sièges sont très confortables, le chauffeur de salle excelle dans sa fonction et le spectacle fourni par la prestation de Jimmy Fallon, des invités qui jouent le jeu et se sentent presque comme chez eux, tout contribue à fournir une expérience inoubliable.
