Inexpensive, friendly and very helpful. They also sell a huge amount of office supplies and do faxes. I live in the neighborhood and use this place constantly.
Only open during the week.

This is a fantastic print shop. I have dealt with many in the past, Santo takes all the stress off your hands and does a perfect job. Came through on short notice on 2 occasions for me, both times under the price I was anticipating. I’d recommend them to anyone.

A simple search on my Unilocal app is what lead me to The Source Unltd and the rockstar owner that is Santo — that was years ago and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. They’ve been outstanding in every facet: super awesome response time, efficient production /​turnaround time, and above all, superb quality work.
Stepping into this shop makes me feel like my days back in Eugene, OR. The vibe for some reason feels like the 80s, with a tad hippy edge, amongst a clutter of stuff in a tiny space. The East Village has gotten a steady makeover over the years, but The Source Unltd, not so much. This is by no means a knock to the interior, but a charming aspect that is evident with every visit.
Small job or huge job, Santo delivers every time without much fuss. Somehow he and his staff manage to understand my noobish tech babble when I am describing a particular job. There is no job too big or small for this crew. Often times I’ve sent things in the morning and by afternoon everything is done.
Printing is expensive, but the pinch is not as hard on the wallet here. Prices have been reasonable and Santo will work with your budget as long as you’re upfront about how much you’re willing to spend. Even then, he’s not the type to short change people or nickel & dime them. He’s a straight shooter and keeps it super real and for that, I can’t be more appreciative.
I can’t recommend this place enough. If there is printing that needs to be done and a visit to the EV is imperative, look no further than Santo & crew.

Local musician artist family owned business since 1982, The Source is the real deal. Margaret, Santo, Satch and Curtis are my heroes. Consistently amazing quality, service and prices, worth the trip as a destination printing press, even if you’re not local. While you’re there, grab some irresistible postcards by local artists and photographers of LES/​ABC/​EV ~eria or classic shots of Charlie Parker, John Coltrane watching Dizzie Gilllespie, BIllie Holiday or Marilyn Monroe weight-​lifting.

Wonderful old school print shop. They charge a fraction of what other places will try to get you to pay. This is where I’m going from now on.

I went to Santo for the very positive reviews but had a different experience altogether. I have never heard of a single sided phd dissertation — they are typically 250 pages — I didn’t think to specify — nor was I asked — although I was asked about binding and cover — no mention was made about printing and I assumed standard procedure would be followed. I sent a messenger to pick it up and therefore paid before seeing the final product. When I emailed and called I was told it was completely my fault for not specifying requirements; Santo took no responsibility for telling me what his specifications were either. He had a terrible attitude — angry, defensive, blaming — and couldn’t care less since he had my money in the bank. Customer service and attention to detail are important in choosing a printing service — if you are looking for that go elsewhere.

Cute little mom and pop print /​stationary store in the heart of the East Village. They print all of my menus and they always look great!

I went here to print out some posters and they came out wonderfully. The shop is really small and can feel squished if there’s more than 2 people inside, but the atmosphere was great. I only took off one star because Santo was unable to trim the white space of my three posters. But that’s ok. The prices were great and I’d go back again.

Such a great local print shop! Was recommended here by a friend who had some zines and flyers printed here.
Previously I had been printing things at bigger companies for way more money. Here, the prices are great.
I’ve been coming here to get zines printed for about 2 years now. Santo is always very friendly and kind in emails. The print quality is wonderful and perfect for people looking to print things in small batches. I certainly will be returning in the future.

They are fast and relatively cheap.
The shop is small and romantically unorganized so you get the feeling that they do it with great passion.

Staying at our Air B’nB accom in the East Village, we needed somewhere to print tickets for the theatre etc. This place was just the ticket. It’s small and very busy with a constant stream of customers but we had no hassles. We had downloaded our PDF tickets onto a memory stick and just took it along for them to access and print. 2 pages were $ 1. It was much easier than trying to find an internet café or deal with lacklustre service at the big chains. I’d recommend and use them again.

I needed to have stickers made and Santo came through with flying colors!
Went into the shop (a great little nook down in the East Village) and was given all the information I needed to have my stickers produced. When my image was ready I emailed it Santo and with a day my stickers were ready. Affordable, fast, efficient and the final product is exactly what I was looking for.

The 5 stars are for the interactions once you’re helped, which can be minutes after you’re acknowledged, which can be minutes after you arrive. It’s not like they don’t know you’re there, because it’s a nook of a storefront, it’s just that things move at the pace they feel they should. I admit I vowed not to return to redeem the $ 5 PayPal offer because I was told on my first visit (not apologetically) that PayPal hadn’t yet shown them ‘how to use it’. They remembered me when I returned and it was a whole new ballgame.

I had an hour before my interview, and needed to print out resumes pronto. I called, Santo told me to email it over and that they would be printed and stapled by the time I got there. They worked on an honor system and I paid in full once I picked up, and even wished me luck :)

SANTO=NICEST PRINT SHOP OWNER EVER
This is a great spot for printing – I spent nearly 4 hours cutting, pasting and laying out press in this tiny space and Santo was patient the entire time. He even had my laminating done the same day and it looked great – unbelievable! His partner and dog are also lovely!

Instead of dealing with all the pain and trauma that comes with printing at Staples and Kinko’s I found this neighborhood place. I called and spoke with a friendly woman. I needed three copies of my play asap. She told me it was no problem and to email her the file. A little while later I had a confirmation email that my order was ready. I picked up my copies (nicely separated and packaged) and at 7 cents a page, it’s not only cheaper than those corporate places but I got exceptional customer service — no trauma, no pain, no pulling my hair out! This is now my go to copy place!
They do offer lots of other services (stickers, business cards, faxing, etc.) The store is super small, but it’s like most storefronts in the East Village.

Found this place on Unilocal (but of course) and I was really happy with the service.
The inside of the store feels like a total time warp to the 80’s complete with paper strewn everywhere and the über friendly Santos with a big smile and messy hair.
He was really chilled out and helpful. Handed me his laptop so I could open my email to open my attachment, and printed it all out in a jiffy.
It may sound strange to hear a print store described as a neighborhood gem but that’s really what this place is.

Much like everyone else that comes in here, I’m a huge Santo fan. The man looks like he could’ve been touring with Zeppelin for the past 20 years, but he acts like your friendly, helpful uncle who just wants to get your print job done on time, and to your satisfaction.
The shop is about the size of a walk-​in closet, and it’s jam-​packed with supplies, stationery, art, and more than a few thingamajigs. My first time in, I was in line behind two other customers (which means I was pressed up against the door). The first lady walked out with her cards printed, a satisfied customer. The second guy was a tiny old man who lives a few doors down, and literally only came by to drop off a plate of almond cookies that he baked for Santo.
Clearly, this is a local spot.
After we chatted a bit about the cookie delivery, Santo bagged up my job, beautifully printed and efficiently wrapped and rubber-​banded for my convenience. Unnecessary, but much appreciated as it saved me plenty of time. I couldn’t be happier with the product.
Santo, I don’t know what you used to do before you opened the city’s tiniest, awesomest, most efficient and cluttered printshop, but I’m so glad you did. You’ve got my business from here on out.
And it’s not just because you gave me one of the cookies.
