Established in 2007.

The Savvy Actor was launched in October 2007. Since then, it has grown into an international company teaching thousands of actors around the world to take control of their dreams, develop a business plan, and craft their Brand. They teach regularly in both NYC and LA. Their book, The Savvy Actor Career Manual, is the first ever business plan for an actor.

Business Owner

Jodie Bentley & Kevin Urban, the co-​owners of The Savvy Actor, INC. have almost 20 years of combined experience in the acting business. They are both working actors in New York City. Kevin has a degree in PR/​Marketing Communications and prior to The Savvy Actor, Jodie built and ran her own NYC based Marketing and Sales company from the ground up. This is the knowledge and know how they bring to The Savvy Actor.

Jodie and Kevin have lead seminars and workshops for universities and professional schools including New York University, Baldwin Wallace, UC Irvine, The York Theatre, The Network and Weist Barron. They have clients who have booked Broadway shows, signed with agents, and got through otherwise shut doors countless times. With The Savvy Actor on your team actors become savvy business people with the skills necessary to compete in the biz today.
