Lots of great options like Lady M and Luke’s Lobster at this food«court». Does tend to get a bit crowded(the reason they are getting 3 instead of 4 stars) and finding a seat can be a mission, but the choices of food here should not disappoint you…

I love the Plaza Food Hall for desserts! There is a great selection of sweets here, and you can grab lunch or dinner here too(for $ 20 – 30 pp)! When I used to live in the area, I would walk to the Apple Store or window shop on 5th Ave and come here for meal. The Food Hall is not well known and signage is inconspicuous, so it feels slightly secretive if you are coming from Fifth Avenue. There’s usually a short line during the weekdays but seating can be limited. They are still worth it! Usually on a weekday or weekend, you will find New Yorkers and tourists from The Plaza dining here. Lady M– I love them! They have a great selection of cake slices(@ $ 6.5– $ 7 per slice): green tea crêpe, plain crêpe, strawberry mille feuille, and strawberry shortcake(a personal favorite). I love their not-too sweet-strawberry cake slices and fluffy cloud-like cream. Billy Bakery– I love their soft pillowy cakes with generous frosting much more than their cupcakes. La Maison du Chocolat– great for gift giving! I don’t like spending this much on chocolate for myself but I will certainly buy for friends and family here. Vin Sur Vingt– cozy wine bar great for snacking. I loved their buttery escargots! Luke’s Lobster– my steady meal option in the PFH. Juicy buttery lobster chunks in a toasted buttery roll. Yum! Sometimes I will get the Noah’s Ark($ 40) to share with K, which is a good deal considering the lobster roll alone is $ 18. Todd English is a sit-down restaurant within the Plaza Food Hall. The Paella was ok. Service was good. Beer selection was great if you like ales.

I honestly come here because they have nice restrooms which are tough to find in this part of town. Best entry is on Central Park South in the door that used to lead to the Oak Room, an iconic restaurant I loved that unfortunately closed. Also a great place for a snack though seating is limited.

Hit or miss, but a fun experience before/after Central Park. Sleek setting and something for everyone. Summary of 2 diff trips: Sushi Bar: good service, but wouldn’t recommend due to average food. Not good or bad, average. Pain d’Avignon: everything looked exceedingly fresh and well made. blueberry scone and kouign aman were solid. Almond milk available; non-dairy lovers rejoice! Boulud: croissant warmed up. Perfection. Billy’s: tried 2 cheesecakes, coconut and passion fruit. One of them was stale and neither had essential cheesecake flavor. Would stick to cupcakes. Good service though. Lady M: gâteau aux marron. Almond flour cake with chestnut cream. Wouldn’t recommend this, especially for $ 8. Flavor profile didn’t come through. Would stick to their crêpe cakes.

This is one of the few places I must go to everytime I’m in Manhattan. High quality luxury food that really gets me into vacation mode, great service, no awkwardness if you’re going alone(since it’s not a sit down formal restaurant). If you can only have 1 meal there, I’d recommend: Luke’s lobster roll(or their sampler if you are really hungry), an Americano from Stumptown coffee, finished with the green tea crêpe cake from Lady M. Then buy some White Moustache honey and nut or cherry yogurt from Epicerie Boulud to take home(one of the best yogurt I have ever had, made locally in NY) For a 2nd meal here, try the Vive la crêpe or the Pasta Bar. Followed by a pastry from Francois Payard patisserie. Things to skip: Ramen from the Asian noodle place beside the Pasta Bar, William Greenburg’s black and white cookies, macarons from La Maison du Chocolat Tip: go outside of lunch hours, seating is very limited during those times even on weekdays. The free WIFI doesn’t work so good.

You know those days where the sheer weight of your wealth wears you down? Benjamins making your wallet so fat you sit lopsided in your limo? One spills out of your stuffed pockets and you can’t be bothered to bend over and pick it up? Yeah, I know you know that feeling. Well, if you’re ever wondering what do do with all that spare cash, why don’t you head on over to the Plaza Food court… they’ll be sure to lighten your load in no time flat. All that to say, this is an expensive midtown lunch. It’s near impossible to have a filling meal here for less than $ 20 – 25, however, you’re damned well guaranteed that whatever you have, it’ll be good. The selection is impressive… great variety, and quality. It’s a great place for a splurge lunch, so go unload those buckets of spare cash there. Dolla dolla bills y’all.

Great little food hall with plenty of spots to dine from. It’s really easy to miss this little spot across from Central Park. Also, it can get quite busy as well with VERY limited seating. The signs for the restrooms aren’t very clear and it in the back down a hall. Wifi isn’t great down here plus since it’s downstairs in a basement, the cell service is spotty inside. Doubt I’d return unless it’s during an off-time when it’ll be hopefully quieter.

What the heck? Passed this place for years(well, not exactly sure how long it has been there) and then looking for Luke’s Lobster in «The Plaza Food Hall» I finally noticed the door outside that leads to the escalators going down into some wonderous food land I wished I knew about before. More or less, call it a market or a high end food court, go to the Plaza Food Hall and explore on your own to find out what you are in the mood for. It took me a little while to find those famed lobster rolls somewhere in the middle of the place but when I did I was happy. The only thing preventing the 5th star is seating. At maybe 6:30PM on a Saturday I did not get the feel that the place was anywhere near maximum capacity but seating was still pretty scarce. So, depending on your target choice and how lucky you are with seating — take out might be your best bet.

My three-star breakdown for Chi Noodles: Space — The counter seating isn’t necessarily conducive to 5’2″. Customer Service — I approached the counter and the cashier was on her cellphone for a good 10 seconds before she looked up. Beef Phở — I ordered the beef phở. You can definitely taste the difference when you order phở from a Chinese place as opposed to an authentic Vietnamese place. It wasn’t bad but the broth didn’t have the depth I would expect from a bowl of phở.

The best part of this food hall is its convenient central location and selection of baked goods. As you descend into the cafeteria, the options are mostly sandwich cafes and bakeries. It gets pretty crowded, so it can be hard to find a seat in the food court. There are also some small restaurant-like options along the border of the food hall. The many bakery options include Billy’s, Boulud, Francois Payard, La Maison, and Lady M. To me, the interesting choices for more substantial eating options are Luke’s Lobster, Olma Caviar. I’d like to come back and try something from Chi Noodle. The Plaza is a great food court, especially in the wintertime while the outdoor food hall and truck options are unavailable.

New York is never short of great food halls — Bookfield has the best sandwich/BBQ meat; Urbanspace at Vanderbilt has the best fried chicken; city kitchen has the best ramen; here the plaza hall has the best bakery and dessert. To name a few, Lady M is always my go-to spot for cake(green tea crêpe), Luke’s lobster has probably the best lobster/crab roll and clam chowder, Billy’s provides me a great selection of cupcakes and hot drink, perfect for days as freezing as today. The only downside about the plaza hall was the small seating area — always struggling to find a place during busy times. Wish they could open up a small area just for seating.

My first food hall experience in NYC was here with someone enjoying the summer. Location: close to Central Park and 5th Ave, this place is the best place if you are hungry while shopping. Inside, it is bit dark — I guess it’s trying to maintain its mysterious sense which is comparable with the host hotel. The food hall is pretty crowded and it is hard to find a seat. So my advice is 1. Go around and found out something you want to try first 2 ask your partner to find a spot or wait a spot then you go ahead and order stuff. 3 have fun eating Food: they have all NYC’s favorites — lady M, Luke’s lobster, ramen… All tastes are delicious. Price: price are averagely like the other food hall Overall: oh, I bet you will enjoy here if you come to NYC and visit.

Had lunch here with a party of four. Great assortment of food and desserts. Between the 4 of us we tried: Chi Noodles and dumplings(the pork rolls); No. 7 sub(the American); and Pizza Rollio(a few pizza selections). The good is good, but pricey. \My only complaint is the seating. There is very limited seating for a group that chooses to select different eateries and then regroup to eat together. Several establishments have their own seating(sushi, noodles, crepes, pizza) but it is a very akward arrangement to find seating there for one paying customer, and 3 others bringing food from the competitors. Felt weird — like wanted to bring you Starbucks into a restaurant for brunch, just wrong. I have been here several times since it opened and have noticed some editions as well as some departures of vendors. There is currently an empty section where the assortment of homemade flavored marshmallows used to be. They did a wonderful made-to-order smore. That area is currently vacant, and there is the addition of the crepes, and the Chi Noodles. I do recommend checking this out. You will definitely find something to eat, and it’s in the Plaza Hotel, which is well worth seeing.

This is where to go if you want to say you’ve eaten in the Plaza and your friends aren’t good enough listeners to realized you didn’t say that you’ve eaten at the Plaza. Just kidding! Sort of. We went in search of a drink and found a wine bar that I think was just called the Wine Bar. There was barely space enough for us at the bar. It was very white and bright inside, which was a refreshing difference from other wine bars I’ve experienced. I also stopped at the Plaza Hotel gift shop just outside of the food hall area. The employees were classy, helpful, and not pushy. They have some nice Plaza Hotel gifts, including ornaments and robes. I got a t-shirt($ 35) that is very soft and I’ll think of Kevin McCallister every time I wear it.

Good quick lunch as you go down the steps of the 58th street entrance to the Plaza Food Court. Sandwiches and desserts plus some sitting tables with stools or at the bar. French style food

2nd time I have been here and there’s still a lot of food choices to choose from that I haven’t tried. I don’t know how many trips I need to take to try it all. I do enjoy the atmosphere of this place. It does get hard to find a table to eat… so if I was you, have that extra person look for a seat while the other person orders. I need to go back… who wants to go?

Super touristy food court in the basement of the posh Plaza Hotel is major chaos but you’ll certainly find something to satisfy your appetite. It’s filled with bakeries, sushi joints, Italian and sea food eateries all with small portions and super high prices. The quality is always excellent but you pay top dollar for everything. It may or may not be worth the aggravation and crowds, that’s up to you. Also, you’re no longer allowed to enter from the front entrance facing 5th Ave unless you’re a guest at the hotel. Entrance is now on W. 58th St.

I love secrets. I feel that this is a NY spot that tourists have no idea about. It’s not advertised, but it’s there, in the basement of the historic Plaza Hotel, which are now apartments. All you have to do when you enter the hotel, is to go around the main bar/lounge/lobby toward the left and follow it toward a half set of stairs. The food hall is labeled above the doorway. Once you get downstairs, you can see a variety of sit-down restaurants around the perimeter, and to-go set-ups for a variety of vendors. I tried Luke’s Lobsters which was awesome, but they have stores ranging from crepes to sushi to chocolates. You take your pic. There are some communal seating high tables. The prices of food items here aren’t bad at all.

One of my favorite hang outs! I go to Billy’s Bakery, and the Yogurt place, have a coffee, and relax. There is always a seat available at the times I go. It’s fun to look at all the foods, deserts, and plan for my next treat. I also people watch. A lot of tourists and hotel guests. Some times the tables get messy. I feel sorry for the lady that I’ve seen cleaning up after everyone. She has her hands full with all the people coming and going. I’m the type that cleans up after myself. This is another fun place that I bring my family and friends from out of town. Everyone wants to visit the Plaza Hotel. Plus it is convenient to use the bathroom downstairs! Yup, this is a favorite hang out for me!

Beat the long wait and come here for the Lady M mille crêpe, grab a blood orange s. pellegrino and walk across the street to Central Park and get away from the NYC hustle & bustle and just relax. This place has so many options of popular restaurants around the city. I love the idea of a refined food hall/food court without the pretentiousness.
