We founded the Custom Shop for the sole purpose of providing a great experience for customers from beginning to end. We are completely dedicated to each automobile we service, and look forward to having a great and long-​lasting relationship with each customer.

We specialize in almost all types of automotive customization — performance, wheels/​tires, audio, security, vinyl wrap/​tint, woodwork, metal fabrication, and more.

I’ve been to many customs shops in NYC and by far they’re the best! Their work is amazing and they go far and beyond to ensure a permanent solution.
Will is my favorite (ask for him) very professional and very helpful, he «will» not just help diagnose an issue but always give multiple options which can help anyone gage and spend around their price range. To be honest all the staff are very helpful, they come from a place of your best interest and does not try to make a extra buck at your expense which is refreshing.
I come here for any and all issues with my C300, it has always cost me significantly less then the competitors for again. a permanent fix!
Highly recommended! This place will not disappoint!

So I was following The Custom Shop on Instagram for some time. After being pretty much screwed over by another shop out of state I was on the hunt looking for a legitimate shop. Called a few shops and found one an hour away. Basically wasted my time going there.
I finally decided to give these guys a call. Brett answered all my questions and was really down to help me out. Went to the shop on my day off and got great vibes. Loved the layout of the shop. Both J and Brett were really cool!
They checked my car out and told me what needs to be done. The part was ordered and I took the car when I had a chance.
I can finally say I found a shop that has exceptional customer service. The Custom Shop has been great to deal with.
For anyone who’s looking for a legitimate shop with great people and great work, look no further !

The custom shop is the very best, they have worked on 5 of my cars and 3 motorcycles, 2006 Bmw X5, 2006 Porsche cayenne S, 2010 Audi A4, 2008 VW R32 & Now they just building 2015 Subaru STI Perrin full exhaust, COBB Down-​pipe, PERRIN equal length headers with Perrin up-​pipe, they all work 100% and you will leave with a big smile on your face, they have done HID kits on all my motorcycle and friends motorcycles, they also have done JL audio custom box and door speakers. zero complaints and zero problem. Thanks to all the guys from THE CUSTOM SHOP we will do more business as soon i get my next project.

After searching forever in NYC for a top of the line auto/​custom shop I came here. Immediately I was greeted with excellent customer service and a very knowledgeable staff. The best part is they didn’t rush any of the work (Most shops do poor jobs just to get you out the door faster & take your money). They took their time to make sure everything was perfect and the way I wanted it. Being in NYC normally you don’t trust people with your car, since there are A LOT of shady shops, shops that rip you off and/​or treat you like a number, but this shop they reviewed every item of what they did and the best part is no run-​around games like other shops, it was complete transparency. I needed a part for my car’s suspension when it was near closing time. They actually went above and beyond to get that part for my car, so the work would be perfect! Also you should check out some of the cars that they customized, some of the best work that I’ve seen. I would STRONGLY recommend this place if you want to do some customization to your vehicle or if your in need of parts for your vehicle.

I only came here to get a photo inspection. I moved to New York and my insurance required that I get pictures taken of my car. After leaving one inspection site and being told to wait a couple hours and to put my there «there» (with no indication of where), I left and came here. Sometimes I feel out of place in shops like this but this place was awesome. So welcoming, super friendly, and helped me out in just a few seconds! Wish they did more than just body work or I would take my car there for everything!

I’ve owned my 2014 Jeep JK for a year and half and got the bug to lift it. It seemed like there were no reputable 4×4 shops in NYC. I searched all the forums and looked all over the Internet and kept coming up empty. I finally e-​mailed The Custom Shop and got a reply from Will minutes later. Will took the time to walk me through the lift process and help me sort out my options. I visited the shop and everyone was friendly and helpful and seemed to care that I make the right decision choosing the parts I was installing. Working in the automotive field I’ve come to expect the worst, but these guys clearly put customer service above all else. The shop installed a 2″ AEV lift along with wheels and bigger tires. The work was great and every promise made was fulfilled. I would definitely recommend you check the shop out and would not hesitate to bring my car back for future mods.

I searched for what feels like forever for a custom shop to take my brand new jk to get some mods done. Every review was 100% true. These guys are incredible. Super friendly and professional. They helped me with any questions I had and gave me their honest opinion on equipment and how to build my jk up. I couldn’t be happier with everything they hooked me up with. I got matte powder coated wheels, back up camera, signal lights and interior lighting. all done in timely fashion and its great work!!! Super nice guys and great service… I’ll be back for more.

I went in to upgrade my head and fog lights and left with much more than a great looking car. I was thoroughly impressed with the shop and more importantly the staff. The level of professionalism displayed by everyone made me feel welcomed and appreciated. The quality of work and time it took to complete was on point. love this place! took both my VW mk4’s here. Multiple workers here own VWs so they know there dubs! and if your a VW owner u know what a pain they can be. Did beautiful work, and when something went wrong they fixed it no problem. They are all very nice and costumer service is great! I will probably be here all summer doing all my work with these guys.

Came here today to upgrade my brakes and I was impressed by the quality of the service I was provided with! Great service at great prices, and they were prompt too! My car was done the same day! They work work on all cars and offer a very welcoming environment to all. I will definitely be coming back!
