We stopped in for a short stop to cool down after a picnic in Central Park on a super hot day. We had an infant with us and our waitress was really accommodating(note: no changing tables in the restrooms). We had a quick drink and some of the curry cheese fries which were really tasty!

Well, i took a break from visiting coliseum because i had to travel but now I’m back at it again… sorry. I love their atmosphere, this place overall feels very homey to me with charming Irish workers. I had coliseum chicken sandwich, good, generous portion with a side and very flavorful. had guiness for a drink, what can i say, it’s perfect as always. and im very excited bring my family over there, really hope they will share my enthusiasm about this place

Came here for some free hors d’oeuvres and drinks after a basketball tournament today. The drinks are cold, the appetizers are the typical spread you would expect at an Irish Pub: chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, chicken wings, onion rings, and hummus and vegetables. To quote a friend regarding this sports bar: «I feel like I could be in a show on CBS right now!»

Good cheese fries, confusing happy hour specials. Service was okay, nothing spectacular but the waiter was super nice and he has a cute Irish accent. Seems new though, which is fine. Overall, I won’t go again but it wasn’t bad.

AWFUL service. The drinks never arrived and when we decides to leave, they charged us $ 45. Manager was EXTREMELY rude using as an excuse us not being served the house being«full» and it even wasn’t that crowded. Honey, your only job is to SERVE. It’s also extremely overpriced.

I work on the same block, so I have stopped in here a few times with friends. It can get insanely loud when it’s a bit crowded, but that’s expected of most restaurants. There is a decent menu, and an excellent drink menu. I’ve always been really happy with my drinks, and the service has always been wonderful. My fiancé was here from France, and two of his friends were visiting so we had them meet us here one rainy afternoon for drinks, and they commented that they liked them. i know they have an upstairs, but I have never been up there so I can’t really review that part. It’s a nice place to stop in Columbus circle, especially with how insanely packed some other places get.

Why is this place still in business and did someone pay for all of the four-star reviews? Gas station quality food served by salty service staff begs the question, how are they paying the rent? My Caesar chicken salad had terribly dry chicken, hardly any dressing and almost no lettuce. Then the waiter spilt not one but three glasses of drinks on my lady friends lap. This place make two star joints look luxurious.

A bar with a decent menu. That’s my kind of place. Came here for a quick casual lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Great service, delicious food and a decent selection for it being a bar. Not much else to say other than you can’t go wrong here. There’s something for everyone and there’s alcohol. What’s not to love?

*update* the publican privately messaged me the below comment which addresses nothing and is rather rude and deals with little of my issue, another reason to not visit the place is that they can obviously not take criticism. Food — cold and nothing to write home about and meagre portions. *update* perhaps I should have demanded more when served at the buffet but I felt this would be impolite. *update* Service — horrendous. I was at an event in the upstairs bar. The barmaid with dark hair was rude, obnoxious and aggressive. She addressed me as ‘boy’ at one stage when I asked for a particular liquor, continuing to give me so much attitude. I asked to speak to the manager and 20 minutes later I was told they could see me, only when I walked by the waitress I asked. Only for having to be at the event was I at this establishment. I would not recommend this place and will not be visiting again solely because of the barmaid.

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat, this is the spot. Very down to earth and casual pub. Service is straight-forward. Ordered a cheeseburger with swiss cheese. It was fine and the fries were great. We weren’t rushed for lunch. Overall a pleasant meal. Good spot to go to if you’re looking for bar food at a good price in Columbus Circle/Hell’s Kitchen.

Perfect little find. After an eventful day I was less than energetic. My girl-friends and I stumbled upon this spot and we got our spirits-on! Their prices were good specially for being columbus circle, where I just assume everything is $$$ due to the tourists attraction. It was very relaxed and definitely felt more of the restaurant vibe. We sat at the bar, the bartender was polite but not annoying, chatted with us just enough then just let us be. My friends and I definitely felt comfortable and enjoyed our drinks, specially after posing with the adorably handsome coasters where you can pretend to be one of the lost McGargles. Yes, the coasters are from last year but as if that matters! fun has no expiration date!

Restaurant/small bar area is upstairs, larger bar is downstairs. Great place with plenty of seating to get some pub food and relax with friends. Prices are inexpensive given the area this restaurant is in. Came here around 8pm yesterday and it was relatively quiet. It was a nice change of atmosphere given that we were in Times Square earlier in the day. Would come back.

Came here for a Seinfeld trivia on Monday and I enjoyed both, the bar and trivia. The bar has two levels, but the trivia was held upstairs so I never saw it. My team was designated to sit at the bar, but I had a decent view and as I arrived very early it was relatively empty. The bar is located to the right and has a bunch of tables for dining. I opted for the cheeseburger and fries and the burger was excellent. I also had mozzarella sticks, they too were excellent. The bartenders and staff were very helpful and attentive as the pack ultimately got packed. The lady I had continiously refilled my water without me asking and to my delight. All and all, I had a great time. We even came in forth place out of maybe twelve teams or more(close, but no cigar). I would definitely come here again.

Lol. We call this place the dump hutch, and we mean that in the most endearing way possible. Sometimes after a loooong day at work you need a good dive(and in this neighborhood, this IS a dive) to erase the pain away(and perhaps commit a few sins). Lots and lots of restaurant workers here– downstairs– and that’s not a bad thing. Everyone is friendly, willing to swap war stories and most importantly, bar hop. Open til 4. Not packed with douches a la mode like most of the establishments on this side of town. Conveniently located near acbd1(when they’re actually running, let’s be honest). Thank you based god!

Came here with a friend on Friday night. We got a table upstairs and the service was good. The drinks were good too, though I think their rocks glasses are pretty small. They did make my friend a nice hot toddy :) She had the French onion soup and a salad, and said everything was good. I had the fish and chips and enjoyed every bite.(I did come home and poo my brains out but I can’t be sure of the correlation. Consider yourself warned…)

Solid 3 stars for drinks and appetizers. This place is located on the back side of the shoppes at Columbus Circle and is usually steady busy but not overwhelming. Occasionally there is a game or two on the big screen TV’s over the bar. Plenty of seating at the bar, as well as off to the side near the window. The restaurant area has multiple tables, the place is not very large but has a homey feel. It is located downstairs from the entrance. It can be a little bit on the chilly side when it is cold out. The staff is very friendly and will take care of your drinks quickly and keep them filled. Typically I order appetizers here, the mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings are delicious and the food always comes out hot and fresh.

Just a quick review of the atmosphere and vibe of The Coliseum. Myself and a close friend I work with have been here a few times for drinks and have had fun each time. The daytime bartender is very nice and attentive, and pours a nice cocktail. Neither of us ate when we were there, just drank, but the food I did see come up looked very tasty. In particular, the fish and chips looked good. Crisp and a nice portion. I might try the food one day, but until then if you are around Columbus Circle and looking for a place to grab a quiet drink, stop by. It is more restaurant than bar, at least during the day. No real music to listen to, well lit, but seems like a very nice place to eat. If you’re looking for more of a bar feel, check at Rumours on 8th near 55th.

Beer battered chicken fingers. Best I’ve had in the city. Come here for the Stella and chicken fingers. After work this is a great place to drink and eat and drink some more. I didn’t care too much for the combination platter, I’d skip variety and double up on the chicken. The place is well lit and service is jolly. They know you’re there to drink and have a good time.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here’s a limerick to honor my experience at The Coliseum: I was in search of a place that served good beer. Most importantly they better have Guinness here. It was frothy, bold, dark and sweet. We topped it off with apple pie and ice cream for a treat. The Coliseum was a great way to start my St. Paddy’s Day with cheer. ________________________________ I miss Ireland. I miss studying abroad.(In Limerick) I miss Bulmer’s.
