God these people do not give a FFFF. It feel like the people working are there against their will. It is not clean and the food is really spotty on whether it’s okay or terrible. The pizza is the only thing that’s consistent, and that’s a solid B-. If you’re a dumb tourist like most of these reviews, this might be a good option for you if you want to try something«local» but don’t want to veer too far from your Subway diet.

So we were looking for hot chocolate today in the hell’s kitchen area, and after going to 5 top rated places that were closed due to Christmas — we stumbled across this place and decided to give it a go. We ordered an apple turnover, a carrot cake, a banana berry smoothie and a hot chocolate. The smoothie was mediocre, the hot chocolate was terrible, the apple turnover was nice and the carrot cake was ok. The problem was that the lady at the counter(who seemed Jamaican(?) by her accent) charged us $ 2.75 for 2 cups of tap water. When we questioned her on seeing that charge(after the card was already charged), she said«she thought» we wanted bottled water and the charge was for that. Why would we want bottled water when we’ve already got 2 cups of water? While we did get our money back when another store employee(Judy, I believe) got involved — it was still a bad experience. Not going back.

Do not come here. I REPEAT, do not come here!!! This place is HORRIBLE… First off, let me state how bad the customer service was. I ordered a BBQ chicken burrito and asked the lady to add some hot sauce and cheese on it. I repeated it to her three times since she seemed to have some trouble with english. Well i guess I shouldn’t have said anything because when my meal was ready, there was no cheese or hot sauce on it! She apologized and took my order back in. Once it was ready I asked for my water that I had ordered and she tried charging me 2 $. 3 words, what the fuck. I told her I paid for it and she checked the receipt. Woo hoo, after she checked another sorry came out her mouth. Another thing is that she didn’t hand me any forks, knives, or napkins. She was busy taking care of the line of customers trying to order, so I had to ask the other dude working there for utencils. He told me that I had to walk to the exit to get some utencils. Then again, I saw utencils right besides him –_-.At this point I honestly didn’t really care anymore. I just wanted to EAT. Some college friends including myself, came to this café after hanging out at Grand Central Park. We were all incredibly hungry and saw this place while walking a few blocks down town. After a quick glance we said fuck it, let’s do it. As we were looking outside the café, we got sunk in by the huge diversity of food. It ranged from salads, burritos, and panninis, to pizza, pasta, dessert, and etc. Anywho, we all ordered entrees of food. I ordered a BBQ chicken wrap, penne Alla vodka, and a cheescake. My friend Angel ordered a panini, and my friend Bryan ordered a chicken quessadilla, a burger, and some fries. After we all sat down with our meals, we began to munch the fuck out. We all stopped. After taking a quick glance at each other with dissapointment and anger, we knew the food was horrible. All the money we spent went to waste. The food tasted so bad that my friend Bryan couldn’t even finish his meal. The only reason why I kept eating was because I was starving. Well whatever, walking out we just talked about the food being bad, never coming back here again, and how we should always Unilocal a place first. 30 minutes later, we all started to feel like SHIT. As a matter of fact, my friend Angel began to vommit. Since all of our stomachs continued to be in irritation mode, we ended our«beautiful night» and headed back to campus. So not only was the food at this café horrible, but it made us all sick and ended our night. –_____–

Great food; the worst customer service EVER! We ordered $ 25 worth of food on seamless and it never came. We called 3 times and they told us three different stories. They lied, and avoided us when we asked for a refund for food never received. It’s beyond ridiculous; they took our money and never gave us food.

Worst customer service ever. Order online and the food just doesn’t show up. The owner blames the delivery guy and refuses to refund your money. Nice scam they have going on there… do NOT give them your credit card — mine was cancelled the next day by my bank for being compromised when the only place I used my card in weeks was to order from this place.

I pretty much love this place. It’s nothing fancy but it has good food with plenty to choose from. While service isn’t always quick, I can’t say that I remember it ever being so ridiculous that I had to seriously complain. The peach dessert tart is good, the pizza is good and I typically love the majority of their breakfast items.

I went here during lunch a few times. Pizza is good, salads are good, soups are ok, and I’ve never tried the pastry or stir fry. The lines for the stir fry are so long, so it must be good, but I’ve never had it. The salads come up to about $ 9 if you want everything you want including chicken or tuna, etc. which is a little pricey. Soups are ok, I’ve had the lobster bisque and it was good, other soups are a 6 out of 10. Pizza is an 8 out of 10, really nice breading on crust and fast service where you can pay for it right there. Place is always crowded though. And lastly, the guy who works at the sandwich area is really on his A game. He takes orders quickly, the food takes a good 10 minutes to prepare, but people are in and out with this guy. Last note — the free bread you get in the end is awesome! My favorite part :)

Came here for a quick bite with a couple of friends. We were in NYC for the weekend and this place was a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We choose it because there were a lot of choices. The pizza was good, as was the cheesecake. The place was really disorganized though. A bunch of people working, but the only people really helping you were the pizza guys and that was mainly just them shouting at you. There was no structure and people who came after us got their food first, and my two friends and I seemed to pay different prices for the same thing. Looking at the menu while I ate, there were other things I wish I would have ordered, and the prices weren’t bad. Just wish the service was better.

Carbonara pasta was great. Lots of fresh bacon. Enough to share with my daughter. Served on paper plates-but you can’t beat the price. $ 8,75. Husband had the BLT on toasted wheat. Bacon wasn’t crispy. Sodas served in cans. Will give you a generous cup of ice. Cranberry Walnut Tart was delicious, lots of walnuts. Daughter got plain croissant for breakfast-nice and flaky. Husband had Elephant Ear, and Oatmeal Raisin cookie-good, but not great.

Good food and they have an incredible selection. The sandwiches and Mongolian BBQ are very good. Then buffet is very popular but I find that it looks better then it tastes. The place is just good and convenient.

If you work in this area, arguably the best spot for consistently decent food. Breakfast all day is a major plus.

I stopped in here for a quick breakfast after finishing a charity walk nearby in Central Park. I had an egg platter which came with a generous portion of eggs, potatoes, bacon & two slices of bread. The food was fine and affordable. As the name suggests, the bread was the standout — it was a unique whole wheat sourdough that was still warm from the oven. However, the service was terrible here. After my group ordered, we waited a long time while we watched several other customers come in, order and get their food before us. When we finally questioned this, we were told that it was a busy time. I am fine with being patient but many customers were served before us, including some who had the same order as me.

They advertise specials that they won’t honor. I went in this evening, and the sign for«today’s specials» is outside. Went in for one of them and they said those specials aren’t valid on the weekend. Food was not great. Okay though. False advertising is pretty annoying. If you’re going to have a giant sign luring people in with lies at least honor your specials when you’re called out. Nothing on the sign suggests that those specials are only valid during the week and everything – including the word«today’s” – suggests that I should not have been ripped off.

Soooooo… after a not so stellar healthy breakfast across the street at Reviver I decided I needed some cookies.(Don’t judge me) so I stopped in. This was definitely the fix I needed! My cookies melted in my mouth and were delicious. I got the Rainbow Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, and some raspberry filled cookie with chocolate spinkles(…again, don’t judge me. I’m ginna share some. Lol). I will def stop in here again when I’m in the area.

Pizza is decent here and reasonably priced. They also have an assortment of desserts. The drinks are a bit expensive though, even orange juice. The place isn’t that big but there are some tables to sit down and eat, just don’t sit close to the door when it’s cold out.

I have not eaten anything except the pizza but I think it’s great. I have only gotten delivery but it always arrives fast and hot. Prices are very reasonable and they have almost anything you could want in addition to the pizza.

This was my first time coming here as my friend brought me here today. I love their pizza. I love the thing crusts, it’s just amazing. I also got the challah bread and rye bread to take with me. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the rye bread. But the challah bread is really good. My whole family loves it. The lady who helped me was very nice. I had many questions about the bread and she took her time and helped me. She actually came out the counter and pointed out to me what was what. I also had the berry smoothie, it was a bit thick but it was ok. So far, i love the pizza and the challah bread is amazing. I will be coming back for more!

Decent but nothing special. We came here after a run in Central Park because it was on the way back to our hotel. The menu looks very impressive but the food really wasn’t great. We had breakfast. I had pancakes and eggs. For a bread factory, the pancakes tasted like they were from a box. I would expect them to be made from scratch but am pretty sure it was Jiffy. The service was also very lackluster.

Giving it 4 stars mostly because of the service. They’re super fast and friendly. The pizza is pretty ok but not when you’re in the mood for anything amazing and prices aren’t crazy. They just did renovated a few months back and I have to say — it’s made a huge difference! It’s so clean and open — I just like going in there :) LOVES — service, décor, food variety, pizza(when tipsy) UN-LOVES — pizza(when not tipsy) UNKNOWNS — I really don’t think I’ve tried anything but the pizza but the pastries LOOK fresh and fabulous.
