Food was disappointing. Service left much to be desired. Prices were 15% higher than a regular TGIF. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere local to eat good food for much less.

I see a lot of bad reviews for this location, but I have to say I sat at the bar and was provided excellent sevice and had no trouble. I say this to say, I would not eat here… but grabbing a drink before your train leaves… why not? The prices were perfectly reasonable, especially given the location(I paid $ 7.50 for an Angry Orchard) and rhe bartender waa a sweetheart.

this place is small and uncomfortable. just to get to the table, we were tripping over other people. several other couples left because if was so cramped. the host seating us didn’t give a shit where she placed you. she basically said«you don’t want to sit there? next… now the staff are a joke, all of them. our waitress, patty was really nice. really cooky, n fun, she made me laugh which is the best part of coming here. drinks were mediocre, sliders were good(smiley face), needed more onion s tho. my magarita was watered down. the crazy shit is the security also seating patrons. everybody who came was pissed at how cramped they had to be and choked up. thumbs down fridays, thumbs up patty!!! prices are crazy 4 sliders $ 20. i felt like the workers ate exploited, the serves brought the food but was also the janitor! I was confused???

Went out to eat with some friends after a long day of classes. There were 7 of us. Didn’t take too long to get seated, but that’s about the only good thing that happened. We ordered a few appetizers to share because of the outrageous prices.(Most expensive I’ve seen at ANY midtown restaurant… and I work at one.) The food took about 40 minutes to come out, and all of it was fried so it shouldn’t have taken that long. They also were out of every cider in the restaurant. At the end of the meal, none of us had cash so we took the time ourselves to do the math and split the checks by cards. So that Michael, our server, only had to enter the amount and swipe the cards. It’s not rocket science. When he came back to our table he was VERY disrespectful and said«JUST so you guys know, I am not allowed to take more than 4 cards per table… but I did it anyway. JUST so you guys know.» I was in shock because he was so pleasant the entire meal. Now I didn’t understand because I’ve served in multiple places and multiple forms of payment has never been an issue. He proceeded to be extremely rude and rolled his eyes at us as he walked away. When we left, he chased us down the stairs accusing us of taking one of his credit card slips.(which we didn’t. He had all of them in his hand.) Stared at us uncomfortably until we would leave. I then waited for him to get back to work and spoke to a manager. I have been a server for 4 years, and I would never treat guests like that. So I talked to a manager and he didn’t seem to care at all. He talked down to me, and made me feel like an idiot. Which no manager should ever do. He said he would discuss the issue with the server, but we all know he won’t be doing that. I am VERY disappointed in our service… and it turned what was an incredible evening into an incredibly shitty one. So thank you TGI Fridays on 34th street… I will never be returning to you. :)

Stopped here after a long train ride. I ordered the Seseme JD strips with JD juice. Extremely disappointed when the server placed my order in front of me. Thought this would come with a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. Guess I should have looked at the picture. Strips surrounded with JD juice. Had no taste and would never recommend this dish to anyone. Did ask the server Jennifer for a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. I must admit this is the first time I ate at a Fridays. Recommend the company change there menu to healthier choices.

I doubt I need to type much considering the other reviews, I can’t even recommend this place if you want a NY experience. Maybe if you’d like a hostess ignoring you while you’re starving and then condescendingly telling you they decided to close 2 hours early. Then yeah, this is the place!

I would normally not want to go here but someone in our group did so we have it a try. The hostess was standing by the side on the phone. Despite seeing us they continued in the phone for a solid five minutes before coming over and telling us matter of factly they had decided to close two hours early. Terrible customer service. I wouldn’t want to patronize an establishment like this that just doesn’t care about its customers.

Last night was the worst experience I‘ve ever had at a restaurant. My girlfriend, two friends of ours, and I, all decided to eat at Fridays before going to the Holiday Spectacular at Radio City. However, we were hastily seated at a clustered table in the back surrounded by tables covered in dirty plates and tables with employees openly sitting and making napkin/silverware rolls while eating food(again, among the customer section). After several attempts to have a waiter come serve us, a man came over, no Fridays uniform, just plainly dressed and asked to take our order. No hello or greeting, no drink request, nothing. Well we shrugged that off and placed our orders, never seeing a waiter again for anything. When our food finally came, the fries were noticeably old and stale. I’ve worked in restaurants so I know these fries were sitting out for a long time before being heated under a light to be served. So we ignored the fries and tried the rest of our food. My girlfriend’s appetizer which she was eating as her meal, the ahi tuna crisps, almost made her vomit. As she went to go eat it, there was a large black hair embedded in the tuna below the sauces. After many attempts and being ignored, I managed to wave down our waiter and tell him the issue. He didn’t apologize, offer to fix the issue, get her another meal, get the manager or do anything. He simply took the plate saying he didn’t have his glasses and couldn’t see the hair, and never came back or mentioned it again. We were absolutely flabbergasted at the horrendous quality of service. He did finally say that he took it off the check as we left, but she never got any apology, food, or what I felt was fair acknowledgment of the issue.

When I go to these types of restaurants, it becomes a rendition of a scene from the movie called«Waiting.» Fortunately this place blows competition out of the water. Located at Penn Station, one would believe that it was going to be very busy and hectic. However it was not. Do not get me wrong, there was a lot of clients that were enjoying their meals as well as their drinks but we received great service. Our our waiter immediately introduced himself. Getting our drinks and our first order of appetizers in immediately was not a problem. We did not have to wait long to get our drinks. Shortly afterwards we got our appetizers and it was finger licking good. In most establishments, when you tell the waiter how you want your meat to be cooked, it always fall short from your expectations. The chef at this restaurant did an ultimately phenomenal job cooking my New York Strip steak. The meat was perfectly cooked it was so tender and melted in my mouth and I ate every last bit of my steak. The macaroni that accompanied my sick was also awesome. Usually macaroni is over cold or too dry but this was awesome. There was a lot of cheese and it had that crunchiness on top that really stood out from all the other mac and cheese I’ve had in different establishments. My husband and my daughter had the cheese burgers and they also enjoyed their meal. One thing that I appreciate about this restaurant is is the menu. Most of the time these establishments have a fixed menu and it really doesn’t change. I haven’t been to Fridays in a long time. But there was pages and pages of things to try and they were all so delicious. The quality of the food the atmosphere reflected on the price in the menu. I don’t mind paying the price as long as I have a great time with my family enjoying my meal. This place also has a sports bar feeling. It had lots of big screens and they were playing the football game. I did not mind but its a place it seems to be a good place to hang out.

This place is a complete and utter wreck. If you eat here i question whether you are human. First the prices are outrageous. A burger is $ 20. Its roughly DOUBLE the price of the regular tgi fridays. We arrived at 5:30. Got seated quickly! So far so good. Waited 10 minutes to give our order. We ordered ONLY an appetizer. 40 minutes later we had no food and had to leave because our train was arriving. So just to be clear once seated we waited 50 minutes to get food and walked out when it still had not arrived. So expensive topped with the worst possible service. Stay away. Stay far away.

As much as I would love to indulge in TGI Friday’s sodium infested heart attack inducing deep fried culinary delights-I won’t. Today I was out with my students(one whom is in a wheelchair and is disabled) This particular student needed to use the restroom desperately and I went in to this fine dinning establishment to ask if we could please use the restrooms. I kindly asked the«hostess» and explained our situation. She shook her head and responded«No, bathrooms are for paying customers ONLY.»(the restaurant was empty.) Keep it classy! Funny, how we went to DSW next door and they didn’t make us buy shoes to use their facilities. TGI-I won’t ever eat there… Ps-Your food smelled disgusting!

Felt like forever before I saw a waitress. I asked if she had Riesling, she said«I don’t think so, that’s a beer right?» Umm, no… a wine… «A wine? Then definitely no. Is that a red or a white wine?» I went with the beer and then she said to the stranger who also happened to be African American, «separate checks?» This woman came in way before me… alone, as am I, but c’mon… — — - It’s been about 15 min since I’ve gotten my beer. Heaven forbid I wanted a nosh… No one has come back to inquire. All I want now is a check. Crossing my fingers for eye contact with a waitress… ANY waitress.

Thank you, TGIFridays Penn Station, for reminding me where dreams come to die. This is the saddest establishment in the history of restaurants. I think I’d choose to eat at Rick’s Caberet before coming back. This is especially depressing since there was a time when I worked at another Fridays, so it was a bit of a walk down memory lane… except, it wasn’t. It was more like a walk of shame. Came in bc I had 40 minutes til my next train. More than enough time to order the app of Jack Daniels strips and finish it. Again, I worked at a Fridays… you’re not supposed to take more than 10 mins to get apps out. It was ingrained in my head after years of waitressing and food-running. Alas, 25 mins later… no strips to be had. Bartender left bar area to take a call and made her self at home… 2 waiters were having a Motown dance party(which, I was ready to take part in. except that expectations of food arrival)… there was a terribly sad, racist trash couple picking a fight with 2 Indian guys… so you get the idea. everything about this place was just wrong. Then, when I finally tell the other bartender about what’s going on… rather than apologize about the missing app that hasn’t appeared in 25 mins… his response, «Oh, she didn’t tell you? It’s 25 mins, at least, for Jack Daniel’s strips». Really? For chicken strips dropped in a fryer and tossed in a sauce? Riiiiiggggghhht. Someone’s gotta tell these folks that a chain restaurant located in a train hub is NOT fine dining… and you’ve gotta move faster than a slow crawl. The worst part… the middle-aged fat guy that asked if I had time for one more before I left. Nope, Sir. Not a second to spare. Never again.

We were here because after we got off the train with our family, they said they were hungry. We didn’t want them to wait until we get out from the station to get something to eat so we decided to just eat here. The staff here were polite. Great service! The food took a little long but the wait wasn’t that bad. The interior isn’t as nice as some other TGI Fridays. This one feels a bit outdated. As for the food quality & portion, it’s just like any other TGI Fridays out there. Definitely not a place that we would go back but if we happen to be hungry at the Penn Station, we’ll probably go back to this TGI Fridays to get something to eat.

Well… our bad for going here of course. We didn’t want to be late for the concert and the 2 restaurants on Unilocal within waling distance didn’t get great reviews. However they would’ve been better and way less expensive than this: The worst part was the prices. $ 19.50 for a French Dip. It wasn’t actually bad at all but I only chose it because I refused to pay $ 23.50 and up for chicken etc. My bf got Chicken and Shrimp for like $ 24 or something which I guess isn’t that bad and again, it tasted fine for a chain. The chicken wings were great as they were typical. Buffalo style hot and fried prior to coating with additional hot sauce. They were the best part. The drinks were $ 11 each for LI Iced Teas. Tasted good but I don’t think there was any alcohol in them. :/ Lastly the best part was our waiter. He was really nice and talked about the concert we were seeing. He was very attentive. Made suggestions. Aside from the $ 114.00 bill for 2 at a chain was this Friday’s had no city views or windows at all as we were in Penn Station. It also severely needed updating. Glad to see Austin Powers there though…

On our way out of NYC we wanted a quick snack and some beer close to our train gate so we stopped in here. Service was great, and the place was clean. We shared some appetizers that were very tasty, especially the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos. The beer was cold, and they had a good selection. Priced a bit high, but considering the location, we did not mind.

I really didn’t know how to rate this place. This place is out dated and has a dingy feel… I was soo hungry that I waited about 45 mins if not more for my food. Ppl came after me and they were eating… But when my food finally came I was very satisfied the wait was well worth it. I had the chicken sandwich which had fried onions fresh lettuce.tomatoes. I thick avocados cheese and sauces and bacon. with French fries. This was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had.

WHORUNSTHISPLACE?!(Besides the nats which circle your plate when food finally arrives). But seriously, the service was fine and I didn’t come in expecting the best. Servers were friendly and attentive and brought food out the fastest the chefs could cook it. The prices here are outrageous. $ 60 for a chicken sandwich, soup and salad. The sandwich and salad with lackluster lettuce were $ 20 each. That’s just not right for anyone. Anyhow, no I won’t come back. Yes id rather one of the no name pizza or sandwich places nearby where I can get a $ 6 panini which has been siting out for 24+ hrs. I’ll let you know how that goes when I try it.
