I have been doing pickup with these guys since moving to ny over a year ago. I come in about 1ce a week routinely. The past 3 times I’ve gone my quarter chicken breast has been half the size it typically is. Very cheap. Won’t be back again.

The broasted chicken is really good, crispy but not greasy and they give you nice big pieces of chicken. It will certainly satisfy your craving for fried chicken! The sides are meh. especially the mac n cheese, it has no flavor, avoid it.(Bbq baked beans are not bad, as are the baked potatoes or mashed). They give you a ton of food and prices are pretty cheap for what you get. The 3 piece broasted chicken meal is $ 11.95(Cheaper if you don’t opt for white meat). I get 2 meals out of it. Great bang for your buck and pretty darn yummy.

Maybe I came on a bad day but Jesus this Mac and Cheese was terrible. I took two bites and couldn’t stomach it. It was so watery and straight up Kraft Mac and Cheese. I had a BBQ sandwich and the bread was a bit burnt but some of the chicken pieces were cold. I don’t know. This is disappointing. Really a waste of 10 dollars. Let me put it like this. even at 5 dollars I would say it’s not worth it. I did enjoy the snapple at least. I wouldn’t come back here if you offered me 5 food items free. If you don’t believe me. Please order the same thing and you’ll see what I mean.

I have written a few reviews in the past mostly good. This is my first bad review and its not about the food, which is usually ok. A few of us at work ordered around noon for delivery pretty much 8 blocks away. The order arrived around 1pm and was in complete. I ordered a quarter white meat chicken with mac n cheese and sweet potato fries. Well the mac n cheese and fries came but no chicken. a co-worker was missing the bacon and mushrooms on her burger. We called immediately and they apologized and said would send right out. Well 30 minutes later still no food. I called back and spoke to Sheena. I asked for the manager and she said there was no manager there. i asked for the owners phone number which she would not give to me. She said they would be there in 2 minutes. 20 minutes later we called and told them we want a refund and cancel the order, which still did not arrive. They finally agreed to a refund and gave us a hard time about telling us how much it would be. Finally they cam took back food and gave us a refund but not after the delivery guy gave me a hard time about some missing lettuce and tomato topping for the burger. We will never every order again from this place. The total bill was over $ 50. dollars so not a small order. Maybe they were short staffed or something but this is no way to treat customers.

Not impressed at all. Ordered chicken gumbo and chicken soup — total wait time was about 30 minutes– for soups! When they arrived it felt like that had been sitting in a microwave for the entire 30 minutes and tasted like SYSCO brands — definitely not homemade. They did come with cornbread, which was good. On the positive side, their portions are huge and the prices are cheap.

I keep going back & forth on this but overall this is a good restaurant. The salmon burgers & potato wedges are solid and the cole slaw is quite good. They are also pretty quick with delivery & can be ordered through GrubHub. The main drawback is that sometimes the food is cold, but this happens infrequently.

I consistently order the whole rotisserie chicken for dinner during the week. It is huge, well seasoned, and juicy. At $ 12.00 its an awesome deal for anyone trying to eat healthy on a budget. I’m a pretty active guy with a good appetite and I typically get 2 dinners out of one whole chicken — I supplement the meal by making some vegetables as a side. It comes with their special BBQ sauce which is really tasty — kinda spicy and smoky. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that I’ve only had the rotisserie chicken so I can’t vouch for any of their other dishes.

Been going there for years, then one day my fries taste like plastic. The styrofoam got burned by hot fry oil so I ingested plastic. Told them about it and they said they were switching from styrofoam plates. Went back a month later and the same thing happened. I’m going to chipotle from now on.

This place is fantastic. Comfort food at a low price… The brisket, pulled chicken and pulled pork are all delicious. They have amazing sides: creamed spinach, whipped sweet potatoes, sweet plantains… Highly recommended

Food was great — perfectly cut and seasoned fries, fresh guacamole with plenty of chips, and best rice pudding I’ve found in the UES. Well prepared for delivery — separated bread from meat so no soggy buns, gave ample guac and chips.

I’ve been living around the corner for a couple years and have avoided ordering from here, largely because of the mediocre Unilocal reviews. Well, tonight, the wife was away, I was craving some BBQ and wings, and Texas Rotisserie was the only spot on Seamless that seemed to have everything I was looking for, so I went for it. And I’m glad I did. First, on customer service: the food arrived promptly(within about 15 minutes of ordering). Unfortunately, they did forget a can of soda I had ordered, but when I called them to let them know, they had it at my door in about three minutes, and the delivery guy was really nice. I can’t say they were perfect, since they did miss something I ordered, but they handled the mistake exactly as they should have. I got an order of the wings and the brisket sandwich, which comes with french fries and cornbread. I requested the wings medium-hot, and they definitely leaned a little more towards hot, so request mild or medium if you’re not into spice. They were about as good as delivered wings could be, which is to say that the flavor was great, and they weren’t under– or overcooked, but because they were sitting in the sauce for longer than the ideal, they were a bit soggy. Still, I can’t really hold the sogginess against the restaurant. Anyone who orders wings to be delivered has to expect this; there’s not really anything the restaurant can do to stop it. The brisket sandwich was great. It’s not quite on the level of the upper echelon of BBQ restaurants in the city(which, as far as I’m concerned, are Dinosaur and Hill Country), but I was very happy. The restaurant serves the brisket and sauce in a separate container, so that the bread doesn’t get soggy in the delivery process — definitely a point in their favor. I often find that brisket is drier than I like, so I ordered an extra sauce, and that turned out to be unnecessary, as it was not dry at all. The brisket wasn’t too fatty, but still had plenty of taste. The sauce has a good smoky smell and flavor to it. The roll is lightly toasted. The only down side was that the roll is a bit too thick, so the sandwich ends up having a higher proportion of bread to filling than would be ideal. Still, the bread itself is quite good, and it’s hard to knock them for using it. The fries were very good, but not great. They were above-average crispiness for delivered french fries. The amount of food I ordered was way too much for one person. I was very hungry going into it and tend to eat a lot, and was still left with more than half the sandwich and fries, plus the cornbread. All in all, this was a very solid four star experience. I will certainly order from them again.

Great quick lunch! I got the grilled chicken salad. Generous portions, good price. I’ll definitely be back for the BBQ!

Having the grilled chicken Caesar wrap… the chicken is extremely salty. Decent flavor. Wouldn’t come back tho as they don’t let you use the bathroom. Its a place with over 10 tables… how do you not let customers use the bathroom?

Food is good here but the service couldn’t seem less interested in being friendly courteous or helpful. Really got the impression that they would prefer to be anywhere with anyone other than being there and being a friendly face later at night when I went. Coleslaw is nasty and more mayo than anything but the broasted chicken is tasty. 2 Stars for the service more so than the food. Not difficult to train these people better but they sure look happy when you leave.

I ordered from here last night. I was raised in the south, so I can say I’ve had some stellar bbq. This obviously wasn’t the best bbq I’ve ever had, but the portions made it okay. I ordered the pulled pork which came with two sides(hey, that’s nice). I got cornbread, which was good, and fried okra. The okra seemed to have been sitting out for a long time. My guess is that it was made that morning(like, 8 hours ago). If food isn’t great quality, I expect to have a large portion of it in order to get my moneys worth. That was the case here. I ordered some food here via seamless and the food came pretty quickly. Mac n cheese — not too cheesy which is what I was looking for, but it hit the spot. Creamed spinach — it was a little bland to be honest. I was looking for more taste and it could have used some salt. Corn bread — okay Mashed potatoes — this did not come with enough gravy. This was a small side dish and they put the gravy in the same container as the mash. They gravy was barely enough for a few bites. Veggie Soup — the soup was extremely salty, but it was still tasty. Fried chicken — the chicken hit the spot, but it wasn’t anything special to make the trip here. This place overall is just okay.

DON’T EVERORDERFROMHERE I ordered food from here and they said it would take 40 minutes — they showed up 2.5 hours later. I called 10x and there was no answer at the restaurant. I don’t know what the food is like because when the delivery guy showed up I denied him from coming up because I ordered from somewhere else(Dallas BBQ) that came on time. This place is a nightmare

Only place open right before Windy Rainy Sandy hit. fella at the counter even admitted it was the busiest they’ve been in years(despite being only 3 people in there), seemed to make his day though they seemed overwhelmed by the chaos of multiple orders Its named Texas but it was more Baghdad in there than Dallas, so we were bracing for some D.A.C(dry ass chicken) as the very best scenario. Came out oozing juices and the breasts were huge, it was great, 4 star worthy easily. fluke maybe or maybe they ordered from Popeyes b/c it did take forever The«chili» was canned beans covered with 2 slices of unmelted kraft singles. like something an inbred would eat after banging his sister, stick to rice & chicken and youll be ok, ordrer anything else & youre probly headed for a 1 – 2 star meal We think that yellow hard lump on the tray was cornbread, have a napkin nearby to spit it in Great chicken at least on this visit, they came up clutch when everything else was closed Chicken & rice — 4 stars The rest — 1

This review is for delivery. I really like this place — its becoming my seamless staple takeout when I don’t want Asian, Mexican, or Italian Food. I like Texas because: 1) Its pretty solid«BBQ» — although I rarely get anything from there that would be considered BBQ. 2) The prices are fairly low comparatively. I get the blackened salmon for $ 14.95. It comes with 2 salmon filets and 2 sides. I never eat both pieces of fish, and I barely make it through half of each side. The diners surrounding my apartment sell salmon entrees for $ 20+ 3) There is a HUGE variety of healthy, but good meat: Grilled, steamed, blackened, baked, broasted(fried pressure cooked) and about 40 different sides to choose from; ranging from healthy(steamed veggies) to endulging(mac&cheese)
