Specialties
Terreform is a nonprofit architecture design group that integrates ecological principles in the urban realm. Our goal is to illuminate the environmental future of cities and inspire solutions around the world.
We have organized an independent school, ONE Lab: NY School for Design and Science. In addition, we hold an annual competition for the advancement of cities entitled; ONE Prize.
History
Established in 2006.
Our unique name was derived from the combination of the words, «terraform» and «reform». Instead of the act of remaking the earth as the term terraform commonly implies, we choose to reform the earth. The original use in planetary engineering was a process of transforming the atmosphere to create a more habitable living environment. We intend to restore the atmosphere of our earth by offering designs that reform the current trends in global pollution.
