teraform environments™ is a Boston-​based design studio practicing the crafts of fine garden design and contemporary architecture.

Each project is born out of its unique environment. Our inspiration comes from the complex but elegant interdependencies that occur throughout the biological world. We seek to integrate architecture and landscape with the intrinsic environmental forces unique to every location. Hydrology, topography, climate and cultural context inform our design process. Each project seeks a robust solution that will endure for generations.

Business Owner

Paul Privitera is the founder of teraform environments. He has been a guest critic at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the Yale School of Architecture. In 2006 he won the Arthur Spayd Brooke Memorial Prize for Distinguished Work in Architectural Design. Paul holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) and a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a degree in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts.
