Sutton Place Physical Therapy specializes in individual personalized attention for every patient and guarantees that each patient has our undivided attention. We schedule one hour initial evaluations.

Our niches include foot and ankle, vestibular, breast cancer rehabilitation, hip labral repairs, in addition to general neuro and ortho outpatient physical therapy. Our therapists use a Pilates Reformer for rehabilitation and we have an on-​site Pilates instructor available for private instruction.

Our therapists participate in Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Worker’s Comp., and No Fault.

History

Established in 1998.

Located in the heart of Sutton Place for 15 years and going strong! All physical therapists go through an individualized mentoring program with the owner, Carol Stillman. Carol has taken her business into the twenty first century by adding Pilates, and receiving her certification as an Advanced Hip Clinician through Hospital for Special Surgery. Sutton Place provides lectures on varying health and fitness topics to the community.

Business Owner

Carol founded Sutton Place Physical Therapy in 1998. Carol earned a bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College and a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California. She has served as director of physical therapy at Doctors Memorial and Charter Peachford Hospitals in Atlanta. Carol has continued education in spine, pediatrics, geriatrics, sports medicine and women’s health. She has been a speaker for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Hospital Association, the New York Road Runner’s Club, Excelsior Health Club, The Arthritis Foundation and New York University. She has also been interviewed on SIRIUS radio for «Dr. Health» discussing Fall Prevention and Osteoporosis.

In 2011 Carol was certified by The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) as an advanced hip clinician. She is now one of the few Physical Therapists in midtown Manhattan who has this certification and training to assure the best practice in the rehabilita
