The food is OK when I’m to lazy to cook but a few times they forgot my soda and when I call they say they are sending it now but I never get it. I call back a few times and get the same bland voice and have to repeat my self all over again like I didn’t just call 2mins ago. lesson learned, cook my own food no matter how lazy I feel

Had great difficulty making myself understood over the phone. Delivery was super quick but food quite bland. Beef in the chow ho fun was very tender, portions were huge.

Horrible !!! I ordered from here once, they completely butchered my order. I used Grub hub & ordered a snapple iced tea, chicken lo mein, & chicken wings. First off they over charge on grub hub and add delivery fee of 2.00. They sent me home made lemon tea & I paid 5.50 for 3 chicken wings. Besides the over charge for such a small amount of food the chicken wings was under cooked. I called the store and the woman on the phone tried to say that’s how much they charge for 3 chicken wings. She was not willing to even admit that the store was in the wrong. I will never order from here again.

Average Chinese food. Delivery did take a pretty long time, but the food was still hot when it came.

The best Chinese take-out in the area! The food is consistently flavorful; not too greasy; and in well sized portions.

Nothing more than what it promises at a glance from the outside; cheap, fast take-away Chinese food. The service is quite rude and they barely speak any English, so be sure to annunciate your words so they don’t mix up your order. Other than that, the sesame chicken was perfectly crispy and the pork was quite tender and delicious. Don’t expect perfection, but for such a cheap price this little place does tasty food!

Be careful at the register here – be sure to settle on the price at the time you order or they will try to charge you more than the price on the sign. Very annoying…

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! Craving Chinese food we walked in and ordered shrimp w/broccoli. First off, the service was horrible! The shrimp and broccoli was extremely sweet. The lady taking our order was extremely rude. Definitely not going back to this place!

Good quality, fair prices, and fast preparation. I tried the schezuan wontons($ 4.50) as recommend by Zack A. and I agree they’re good. The wontons are soft with a pan fried crisp. They are covered in a thick sauce and green onions. The chicken fried rice(large $ 7.50) I got was pretty lame. The rice was bright yellow, not from being fried. It only consists of rice, chicken, bean sprouts, and onions. Most of the flavor seemed to be MSG/salt. The chicken was fine though, no mystery morsels of meat. They gave me a free soda since my order was over $ 10 even though I didn’t know they had that deal. I’ll be back again and update my review.

Just moved in around the corner. First order: tasty, cheap, and quick. The schezuan wontons are awesome! Kitchen looked pretty clean, which was a plus!;)

Great NY Chinese food. Fast delivery, big portions, small price! Great place to order from in Harlem when it’s just a «Chinese food & Movie» kinda Friday night. Delivery’s always made within 15 minutes if you’re in the area.

The food is about the same as any other take-out Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. Personally, I go to West Place(on Amsterdam) because of this: Over 45 minutes to get one order of lo mein. Not delivered – from when I got to the counter and placed the order to the time that I paid for it and picked up the bag. Not just once, but twice. And not super busy either time. Everyone waited close to an hour. Guys who ordered fried chicken waited that long; a gal who ordered chicken and broccoli waited that long; some kid who ordered ice tea and fried rice waited that long. i know that there are other Chinese take-out joints with food just as good that I can get delivered in less than 45 minutes. So thumbs down for Red Star simply because they’re incompetent in service.

Three reviews, all dead on. Probably the least greasiest Chinese takeout I’ve ever had… the pork spare ribs are indeed good… most meaty! Kudos Super Red Star Kitchen…

When I worked in the area I used to order from here regularly. This is good Chinese take out done right.

I get takeout from here all the time. There pork spare ribs are surprisingly good. I usually get the Chinese eggplant with shrimp in garlic sauce or the chicken with black bean sauce. My favorite is the General Taos but it often comes soggy. I would stay away from all the fried dishes for that reason. If you spend 20 bucks and say you have a coupon they give you 4 free chicken wings. Super fast, really, cheap, and you get free chicken wings what else does one need?

Also a good delivery joint, and reliable. The price is right, delivery is quick, and the food is good. Really good wonton and egg drop soup.
