My family and I have been using Dr. Kaufman for several years. He’s by far one of the best dentist I have ever had. He’s extremely competent and thorough and works very hard to make everything perfect by the time he’s done!

I was told by a dentist that I needed to have my wisdom tooth removed. I went to an oral surgeon with a three hour wait in a waiting room that’s standing room only. I found this doctor on Unilocal and while Dr. Bloom wasn’t confident he could do the surgery I was invited walk in immediately to come see him with no wait. I was so fortunate! I was in so much pain so any opportunity to have the extraction done sooner than later was deeply appreciated. When I walked into the office I was greeted with a smile and warm handshake. This didn’t happen at either of the previous dentists earlier that day. The Dr. was not comfortable doing the complex work needed and quickly found another skilled surgeon with a same day appointment. I highly recommend him.

Great dentist, I go here all the time. Prices are very fair as well, even w/​o dental insurance its very affordable.

Having had my first dental emergency since moving to the city, I found a recommendation for Dr. Kaufman on a Washington Heights/​Inwood BBS and booked an appointment. I was able to get in the next day. It’s a small office — Kaufman and one other dentist — in the Port Authority Terminal at the George Washington Bridge.
Long story short, due to the nature of my problem I had to make two visits, and I was out of there in less than hour on both occasions. Dr. Kaufman and his staff are very friendly, helpful and gentle, and I’ve had no problems with his work. Definitely recommended.
The only reason for four stars instead of five is the office and equipment seem dated and not as «sterile» as I’m used to — though others may see that as a positive.
