Dr Stern has been my dentist forever. Need I say more? Excellent dental care, personal and welcoming office ambiance, pleasant and helpful staff. Everything you would want from a medical provider.

Dr. Stern is incredibly warm and makes you look forward to your dentist appointment! Her office is decorated with custom art and has a really cool vibe. It’s like having small town charm in a big city. Her receptionist Jean has the best smile and is super friendly on the phone and in person.
Other places I have been to in the past had a dental assistant perform the checkup and cleaning and the dentist comes in at the end to do a quick 30 second check before sending you on your way. Not at Dr. Stern’s office. She performs the checkup and cleaning herself and you can rest assured that she won’t recommend an unnecessary, expensive procedure for the sake of it. She is honest and very thorough! I always leave the office feeling happy and confident about my smile.

Only Stern when she has to be! I’m not the best about flossing — but Dr. Stern was understanding and kind — yet professional when she informed me about what I should be doing to better my health. I would recommend Dr. Stern to anyone in need of a kind, compassionate and professional dentist.

I love my Dr. Stern. I have a severe aversion to dental care (braces and head-​gear of 5 years as a pre-​teen), but i actually enjoy my time in her office. I get to watch old videos of either «Sex & the City» or something about whales. Whatever I choose, my mind is taken away from my fears and I’m always relaxed. Jean is the best receptionist and is always thorough about scheduling my appointments and the friendly reminders.
Dr. Stern has provided excellent dental care for myself and my 3 year old daughter, who now looks forward to a dental visit.

I have been going to dr. Stern for years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. She is not only a great dentist but a great person as well! Her team of staff are also warm and very helpful. While getting your teeth cleaned you can watch dr. Stern’s deep diving adventures in the Red Sea and she will tell about the amazing animals. I quite enjoy my dentist visits because of her personable approach.

caroline stern is by far the most fun dentist in all of new york and perhaps the world. her office is a visual and oratory pleasure. you are never bored and the sights and sounds of the office make every visit fun and something to look forward to. dr. stern’s staff is professional and extremely pleasant. they all smile. dr. stern takes good care of her patients with patience and thoroughness and her follow up is like no other doctor i know.
i recommend dr. stern without hesitation from a patient for over 30 years.

Who loves their dentist? Okay, let’s try this instead. Who willingly makes an appointment with their dentist and is excited day of? ME! For over 20 years I have been a patient of Dr. Stern. Even traveling from the mountains of NH to have care.
Skill comes from good training and experience, talent is based on an intuitive understanding of her craft. Did I mention compassion? Even when it was a difficult situation I never worried that I had to, «suck it up». She makes it a priority to give the best care and has never allowed me to be in pain. Or as others have tried to convince me, «it’s just a bit of pressure» I have always left that chair happy.
Besides the amazing art that covers the walls in the reception area, there are headphones and movies to watch. All while your teeth are being cared for. Your mouth is the doorway to your health and Dr. C. Stern educates her patients with that knowledge. I highly recommend her. After 20+ years I wouldn’t see anyone else.

Caroline is absolutely my favorite «medical provider» and I have some pretty good ones… she is skilled, caring, practical, smart, funny, charming, and the office has terrific ambience — lots of photos and art work… some her own… She does the cleaning and she is as concerned with keeping your teeth and gums healthy as you are… I’ve had crowns, laminates, and one implant under her care, her referrals are excellent… and she doesn’t push expensive procedures or cosmetic dentistry unless you want it or really need it… I have been her patient for more than 20 years and recommend her to all my friends. She and her staff are NYC treasures. And she sticks to the schdule, I’ve never waited more than 5 mins. I love going to see her.

I am so happy to have Dr. Caroline Stern as the dentist of my whole family since almost 20 years, she is so pleasant as well as her staff, as soon as I enter her office I find the atmosphere so wonderful with a lot of arts, photography etc. I used to be afraid to see a dentist in the past, but since i found her, she makes me feel comfortable with a nice music or nice travel videos, movies. I highly recommend her to all of you, best dentist, best office, best staff.

I know I have amazingly healthy teeth, and can get away with only one cleaning a year. I also know my two snaggle teeth don’t need orthodontic treatments, as they’re not a threat to my dental health. So I like to test new dentists, and see what they’ll say.
Doc Stern said (I paraphrase), «If you don’t mind those two teeth, no real need to fix them.» She then followed up with (verbatim), «Ya know, you could really get away with only coming in once a year…»
Though she still gave a thorough exam, include an oral cancer screening.

So, I don’t normally visit doctors of any type unless I have a feeling something is seriously wrong. It’s been about a year or two since I last visited a dentist and since I was off I figured I could find a dentist near central park so I could go for a nice run afterwards.
I found Caroline through my insurance carrier (Delta Dental) and was able to schedule an appointment a few days in advance. The receptionist is incredibly friendly. The day off, I went in for a routine check up and cleaning. I was able to have my teeth cleaned, x-​rayed, and had three prior fillings repaired all in the time span of about an hour. The work they did was fast and done right (unlike the last time I went to the dentist where both of my fillings they put in were done improperly and had to be redone.
Her office is small (it’s just her and an assistant) but this is a good thing. There really isn’t any volume in customers so you’re not left waiting forever like I’ve been accustomed to at every doctor’s office where you fill out the forms and wait half an hour after your appointment. I was able to fill out my forms, they verified my insurance, and they saw me right away.
