This Starbucks is okay but just sometimes the line is too long for my liking especially during early morning or afternoon lunch time.

We came in for two pumpkin spice lattes and were hoping to enjoy them unfortunately not what we expected. We then spoke to matt and told him how we weren’t enjoying our drinks and he offered to get us new drinks and he made us Amazing! Salted caramel mochas. Thank you for your good deed today!!!

Worst costumer service!!! I spent at least $ 150 per week buying their products. And today at this location one of their workers told me that I needed to buy something at the store to let me use the bathroom. Then he start saying very loud to me «HAVE A GOODDAYSIR!!!»

Nice spot to stop in even in this crazy pace city. This place feels like it kinda slows down here. I dont feel rushed to leave or feel pressured to. Sure all starbucks feel like this but this location is located next to some of my favorite things sneakers. Coffee and kicks all day for me… yes please may i have another.

I want to give this Starbucks 4 – 5 stars because the staff is so friendly and kind. But this location has one serious problem, and I’m not sure if it’s the layout(line starts in the back of the store instead of the front) or the residents in this neighborhood, but EVERYSINGLETIME I HAVEGONEHERE, SOMEONECUTSMEINLINEAND I GOHERENEARLYEVERYDAY! This is getting ridiculous! People should be served in the order that they waited in the line. The other day, a man pushed his way past me and one other woman to buy a goddamned granola bar(seriously, if you’re cheating other people out of their spot in line, you’d better be doing so for caffeine’s sake!) Finally today, I got to the store and no one else was there. I thought, «Huzzah! I will finally be able to order something without being cut yet again!» As I said to the barista, «I would like…» some fat asshole came up from behind me and slammed a bottle of water down on the counter before I could even finish talking. The barista said, «Is he with you?» I said, «No, and that’s not my water» then picked it up and tossed it onto the ground. If you bother to go to this Starbucks, be sure to point your elbows out and get your competitors right in the kidneys.

Usually my go to, but sometime the staff seem very irritated at nothing. For overpriced drinks to go(looking at you ‘donna’), this behavior is probably not expected.

Asked the barista Alex for a recommendation and he whipped up an awesome cinnamon dolce latte! Great service and it was nice that he took pride in what he gave his customers.

This location absolutely suck, from the poor customer service: management and down. Except for this one girl which I don’t know her name but she is awesome.

I usually go to the Starbucks on 87th and Lex but tried out this location since I’ve walked passed it before and there was no line compared to the one on Lex. Now I understand why there was no line. I get to the cash register and there are about 5 employees standing around doing nothing. Then one of the«baristas» told the customer in front of me who had just ordered to wait at the other counter for his drink in an extremely demeaning tone. She then stuck her head out over the counter and yelled at him«is this your first time at Starbucks?» She proceeded to complain about this customer to her other employees right in front of me. I finally get someone’s attention and place my drink order and wait for someone to ring it up on the register. As I handed another oblivious employee my card to pay, he starts writing my order on a cup which I informed him was already being made. Had he actually been paying attention he would have known that but instead proceeded to roll his eyes and shake his head at me. In an area like this where there is literally a Starbucks on every other block, there’s clearly low barriers to entry which, as a competent finance person, I would think the franchise owners would want to try and stand out among the others not just by selling product but by giving great customer service. I will never go back to this Starbucks 100% because of the embarrassing behavior and lack of respect shown by your employees.

Stopped in one night and while sitting down just relaxing and enjoying my drink, the two baristas behind the counter were very loudly discussing other frequent customers referring to one as «too much Botox in the face». They also claimed that customers like to «lie on Unilocal». I wish I was lying about this conversation.

I think I’m almost done with starbucks… yet another rude location. This time with another dash of prejudice attitudes.

When you order double espresso with ice and they give you 4 shots of espresso hot. Ask for a fork and a bag, they tell you to go ask at the register and there is a huge line … Not cool Starbucks not cool!

As one who believes there can’t be too many Starbucks in a neighborhood, I’m hoping the one on 87th and 3rd closes… and soon! I was in last week and wanted to add cash to my Starbucks card and was told they couldn’t accept anything larger than a twenty. When I asked why, the counter person said«I don’t know, the manager said so». C’mon, this is the Upper East Side! Ok, so I go back today at around 2PM(with small bills in hand) and order a Dark Roast. I see the guy behind the counter(I refuse to call him a Barista) start making the coffee in one of those single serve drip gizmos they used to use(if you havn’t had the pelasure of tasting what comes out of those things consider yourself lucky). When I told him I wanted a brewed coffee he told me they don’t brew coffee in the afternoon. I asked why not and was told they’re saving on the cost of wasted coffee. Well I hope they are successful in there campaign to save on the cost of coffee — here’s an idea close your doors and you’ll save a whole bunch on beans! So, from now on I’ll walk all the way(1 block) to the Starbucks on 87th and Lex where they actually welcome their customers.

Another new Starbucks to make a bathroom dump in that just opened on the UES! In fact even though it just opened already every seat is taken by WiFi hogs. In an area inundated by Starbucks locations in every direction did we really need another one? I guess with the foot traffic around here heading back and forth to the 86th street subway stop it will be pretty busy. Heck, at least there is another spot to make a bathroom run here now. The place itself is on the small side with a narrow layout. Communal table in the back. Not really a lot of seating with about ten of those small round tables lined up along the windows, and a small counter spot by the front. I did see outlets all along the windows at least and the wifi hogs had plugged into all of them. Basic Starbucks menu and offerings. Baristas were quick and friendly so no real complaints when I picked up my drink. Sure, they have a clover machine. Whoopie doo. I could care less and refuse pay more for a cup of coffee. Just give me a regular hot cup o’ joe and I’m ok.

tl;dr New Starbucks in a sea of Starbucks in Yorkville! —- This Starbucks is so new that they don’t even have the store on the online SB locator yet. As a super avid Starbucks user(honestly, I support small business, but SB is just so ubiquitous and convenient), this is good news. They must be making a ton of money around here because there are already: 1) another SB5 blocks to the north 2) another SB1 block to the west 3) another SB2 blocks to the east and 2 blocks to the north 4) another SB3 blocks to the south 5) another SB1 block to the west and 2 blocks to the south 6) another SB2 blocks to the east and 2 blocks to the south I stopped in last night and the barista told me they just opened on Monday. There’s a line of benches down the N side of the store as well as a communal table to the back. The good news is that there are outlets all along that wall and there are two more outlets in the back! Major plus that they carry SB reserve coffee w/Clover! Around here, the only other SB that has it in Yorkville is Lex/87(granted, just one block away…) Wow, fast wifi+plenty of outlets+SB reserve… this is like a med student’s study heaven. ps. I think SB has just contributed another convenient walk-in bathroom to the mobs of people walking down 3rd and 86th on busy weekend days… :P
