This Starbucks is probably too small for the ever-growing Roosevelt Island population, and being the only coffee shop on the island it can get crowded or run out of specials. But the staff is the nicest ever. Never had a bad drink here, it’s always clean, and everyone is super nice.

My frap was made in reasonable time, but the Barista was terribly rude. He assumed I was not a customer, and when I asked more than a couple of times if there was anyone inside the restroom, I was blatantly ignored. A more proper response would have been for him to ask if I was a customer. I will not be going there again as long as he’s working there. This took place Sunday during the afternoon.

I take a lot of the negative reviews here with a grain of salt. I’ve never had a bad experience with this Starbucks. Everyone here is super nice. A lot of people on Roosevelt Island like to complain and bitch about everything, so take the one or two star reviews with a grain of salt, I’ve lived on this island for years and it seems as if the majority of people here expect«1950’s style how may I suck your dick today» service when they are rude as hell. These people work at a Starbucks, not Windsor Castle. Keep doing what your doing. Your employees are doing a good job. I’ve worked at a retail store before, I know how terrible and entitled people can be.

Very slow service. I was alone with my husband And it took FOREVER take two Frappucinos. Cashier was not friendly. 2 stars only for the coffees(which is the same everywhere) UPDATE: For being placed in RI, the restrooms should be more clean. Employees are lazy and doesn’t do anything. Please manager, renovate your staff, I am pretty sure there are a lot people with better attitude.

Don’t ever get the yogurt at this location. It was watery and didn’t taste fresh. Tasted like it was previously frozen. On the positive side, this location does make good coffee including ice coffee.

This is one of the Starbucks that I’ve went to that wasn’t crowded or anything and I absolutely love it. My first visit was quite a good experience, my order came in seconds cause it was just a brewed coffee. The only worker there was really nice and friendly. Because I was quite satisfied on my first visit, I came back a week later to find that there was a line and three workers. I ordered a grande peach green tea and ice water with lime, but the barista said I could only get a tall ice water. I tend to realize that Starbucks barista look down on you if you ask for water which I don’t see where the problem is. My order didn’t take long, as a matter of fact, it took less than 3 minutes but they gave me a ice water with no lime. I asked one of the workers and they said they charge extras for lime and I was like, how could you charge extras for a slice of lime? She ignored me and went straight to making other customer’s orders. I guess it depends on the baristas that takes your order because I’ve always been ordering two drinks and this Starbucks decides to charge me extras for lime.

Terrible service. Rude workers, and my drink was completely wrong. I wrote to starbucks and they addressed my issues with the store and gave me a $ 5 credit.

If you know me, then you know I love Roosevelt Island. Although the indoor area is small, there’s a huge outdoor area with multiple tables. There is also a bathroom. That’s all I need to say about that.

This is the Starbucks location where I work on Roosevelt Island. Pros: –Great location, situated right next to the subway station, and within easy walking distance to a pizzeria, a Bar & Grill and a Sushi restaurant. –Clean and well maintained. –Lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor Cons: –A lot of the seasonal specials, for example, the Pumpkin Spice specials they have, run out very quickly OR they just don’t have them available at all! Disappointing. –Sometimes they’ll have 1 person making the drinks and 1 cashier, or I’ve even seen 1 person doing both cashier and drink making. So the wait can get pretty long.

To my surprise, this is one of the few Starbucks that’s not crowded. And I mean this in the best way possible. I was staying on Roosevelt Island and this was my go-to Starbucks for my morning coffee!

Unlike other Starbucks this one doesn’t get crowded, its a nice small space to study and it has outdoor seating like 4 tables outside?

Roosevelt Island is odd. I do love visiting here. This is right around the corner from the train station, but a bit of a walk from the Tram. It’s ultra convenient to hang out in prior to their NYCRUNS road races they hold here on the island.

When I visited this Starbucks location, they had a deal going for their speciality holiday drinks: Buy 1, get the 2nd one free. I was like awesome except that I was in the mood for hot chocolate. What am I saying? I am always in the mood for hot chocolate. Besides the bathroom all the way in Fort Tryon park, this is a safe bet in case you are able to walk like 5 blocks’ worth all the way there. I see people parked with laptops studying on the large tables within, so maybe chatting loudly is not a great idea. There are some stools in the middle where you can catch some sunlight and eat a pastry or two. I ordered the pumpkin bread and was amazed. :) It was sweet, pumpkin seed-kind of nutty, and hit the spot before a walk ahead of me.

Here on Roosevelt Island, this appears to be your only coffee option. Luckily the line is not long, there is outdoor seating and, unlike any other location in Manhattan, there is no line for the bathroom! Even so, the bathroom was as messy as any other branch. Just more available.

The only Starbucks on Roosevelt Island. It’s pretty spacious and has outdoor seating areas where you can sip your Java or Iced Tea while looking at the Manhattan Skyline. Staff are friendly and pretty fast too. Oh yeah, and there is a restroom available and it doesn’t say«FORCUSTOMERSONLY» or «EMPLOYEESONLY» sign like many Starbucks in the city. Conveniently located within footsteps from the Tram and the Roosevelt Island Station.

Last Saturday I found myself wandering the city. I headed over to Roosevelt Island in need of a phone charging and a bathroom. This Starbucks met both of those needs fabulously. It wasn’t over crowded like most Starbucks are(aka I could find a free plug) and the bathroom was pretty clean. Service was quick and my passion tea lemonade(warm weather drink of choice when I don’t want a green tea frappuccino) was well made.

I’m not all that familiar with the island but a detour and a short stroll later I found myself lost upon this little island. Where can I find myself some caffeine so I can have the energy to find my way off this quaint little island? I guess I’ll have to settle for Starbucks. Wow what a pleasant surprise! It’s not very crowded, the staff are excited to serve you with great precision. Same crappy Starbucks commercialized music integrated into the«Starbucks Experience». However on a nice day the outdoor seating offers a great view into Manhattan across the river. Caffeine fix successful, but strangely I find myself not jittering to get off the island but wow… it’s nice here!
