Star Struck Vintage Clothing

This is by far THE BEST vintage shop in ALL of New York City with the most reasonable prices. They have the best selection of vintage ties, vests, hats [both men & women], furs, and of course-​ugly christmas sweaters (: Joe [the owner] is so much fun and such a pleasure to be around-​he knows the words to all the vintage songs playing in the shop… just so damn cool. He’s like the cool uncle everyone wishes they had. If you have a vintage themed party or just want some awesome vintage finds to add to your wardrobe, this is the spot!

Went into the city this weekend to hit up some vintage shops. After having lunch at the Hollywood Diner, I came across this very vintage vintage shop. When I first walked in, there was an older gentleman by the counter who was cleaning hats and was very nice and informative. The store is very organized which is nice and it is also pretty big. I was particularly looking for vintage T-​Shirts and maybe some Men’s Blazers. This shop really has it all. I was able to find the coolest vintage T-​Shirt with perfect small detailed rips. I will definitely be returning.

I don’t buy vintage very often, but when I do, I expect to find something special that I’ll wear for years to come. I came to the West Village today on a mission to find a dress for a vintage Fourth of July party. I left Star Struck with exactly what I was looking for, down to the colors, length, and neckline.
This place has the best selection of circle dresses in the West Village, that’s for sure. I tried on about 5 of them and there were at least 5 – 10 more that weren’t really my style. Other vintage stores in the area only had one or two and the ones they had weren’t my thing.
The sales lady was so helpful and friendly. She got a feel for what I was looking for and pulled everything off the racks that fit the bill. She even gave recommendations on how to wear each dress I tried on and which dresses and styles were best for my body type. The owner was also friendly.

Very friendly staff! Was able to haggle the price and bought a vintage tee from $ 35 to $ 28. I personally had to dig through to find some awesome pieces. I’ve been thinking about this fur jacket I saw … don’t even wear fur and I’m dying to have it. Might go back to get it! Minus 1 star only because some of the items were a tad overpriced — but once again, try to haggle; also it would be nice if they had mirrors on the inside of the dressing room instead of the outside.

I had a great experience here. I walked in and was met by Joe, who took me right to the vintage suits. He found me a perfect 2-​piece, in my exact size. I was immediately in love with it. This store has a great selection and fair prices. I took home a fantastic vintage suit. Now I want to go back and get that 1984 Van Halen t-​shirt!

This is an amazing vintage store. It is incredibly clean, well-​organized, & easy to navigate. Lots of character too! Awesome.
You can certainly uncover some great finds in here. They have a wonderful selection of leather jackets, hats, sweaters, & tees amongst others.
I made some terrific, high-​quality purchases at a decent price. In terms of price point, just know what you are looking at. Some things were absolutely stellar deals, while others were hiked up.
A drawback for me personally is I wished they had more «on trend for the times» pieces & the miscellaneous, whimsical treasures that make vintage shopping extra fun. At times I felt like I was seeing too much of the same thing (cowboy boots, anyone?)
Overall, solid selection & friendly staff. I will come back.

I had an excellent time/​and found excellent clothes in this store! The staff was helpful without being pushy, the quality of the clothes was great and there was tons of items that I wanted. I will return often!

This place has some really great stuff. It’s a little more in price than your other vintage shops, but then again, it’s not the same stuff as the other shops. Tons of Lacoste/​Izod sweaters for men/​women, and a great selection of fur for a little over $ 100. Staff is über friendly too!
Can’t wait to go back.

Star Struck has a really great selection of vintage clothes that are on trend. However, expect to pay more than you would at a regular thrift store. My last visit I was looking for a new fur and a military style camo jacket. The fur selection here is awesome, prices were about $ 120+. The lowest price I saw for a camo jackets was $ 23+. I wasn’t too fond of the purse section and didn’t have much time to thoroughly look through the shirts. I think men would have a field day shopping here, I saw tons of unique men’s jackets, tees and sweaters.
All of their racks were super organized, and the staff was really sweet. I will be returning

Came here with my fav friend to do a little vintage shopping. This place is full of fun stuff — and though I didn’t end up buying anything, I still had a great time perusing. There’s an eclectic mixture of styles — saw a lot of weird dresses that I’d never ever be caught dead wearing but also saw a lot of beautiful pieces that I wished were cheaper so I could buy all of them.
There’s a bucket of scarves near the door and each scarf is $ 5, which is great considering how pretty the majority of them were. There’s also a decent selection of shoes and lots and lots of cowboy boots.
I had the most fun trying on the fur hats.
If you have allergies like me (dust-​sensitive noses) make sure to pop a few Claritin before coming because it’s really dusty and I think the vintage pieces are full of other people’s skin cells or something because both my friend and I were sneezing up a storm.

Shopping at Star Struck is like shopping in your best friend’s closet… if your best friend were a stylist with incredible vintage designer clothes, vintage concert shirts (Thriller tour anyone?), trendy retro hats, jewelry, scarves, bow ties, and always a crazy good selection of cowboy boots. The staff make you feel at home and every time I’ve been in, fellow shoppers give each other advice and help locate perfect gems. I never miss a chance to stop in both for the hidden treasures and great company. Thanks Shane for making my NYC experience so fruitful!

Stopped by this place for the first time the other day. It is a small, but they have a lot. If you have time to look around you will definitely find something good. They have tons of vintage tees, jackets, hats, boots, and of course my favorite vintage ties. Staff was very nice, and did not push you to buy anything. Prices are kinda all over the place, but there usually is some type of deal going on.

Notable for its amazingly affordable and selection of good-​quality vintage fur coats and hats. The staff was nice too.

This is a vintage store with:
1) great stock of high quality vintage stuff
2) helpful staff that will actually give you good advice
3) well organized racks of clothes… usually by size/​style
4) totally reasonable prices and some awesome deals
5) great music playing in the background
6) alot of real New York personality

Hidden treasures await when you go into this store. I bought a vintage fireman’s parade jacket here. It was in very good condition. This place looks small, but they have a lot inside. Bow ties and glasses in the front, jackets in the back. I got a great deal on the jacket, $ 40! I alway go in here to add a piece of vintage to my wardrobe.

Cool store, tons of clothing and track jackets and old man professor coats with the suede on the elbows and 80s prom dresses and cowboy boots. Vintage closet gems, all of them. The catch? This place is way overpriced.
Honest, a polyester dress circa 1988 from Sears priced at $ 90? Really?
It’d be cool if the money went towards a worthy charity, but it doesn’t. So I didn’t buy anything.
BUT.
1. The sales people are super friendly and
2. Apparently one of their regulars is my Village Doppelgaenger. Neat.

Vintage Store Spree take 5 of 5:
Definitely in the same ball park with Cherry. Lots and lots of stuff, jam packed to the roof. They do have an amazing selection of hats, I’ll tell you that much. This perhaps would be my best answer to someone looking for a nice vintage hat for a reasonable price.
Clothing wise, in my opinion would be the same quantities as Cherry. Of course, the selections being different since most of these things are one-​of-​a-​kind, or just limited and difficult to find. But, once again, lets throw 5 stars at Star Struck!

The vintage messiah strikes again and is sort of shocked and appalled to find no one has reviewed this magical mecca of vintage-​ness!!! This place is what other vintage stores wish they could be. Friendly, helpful and non-​paranoid that you’re going to shoplift [my biggest pet peeve] employees, but more importantly OUTSTANDING merchandise. For example, they have tons of really soft, buttery vintage tshirts [a vice of mine] instead of a few old tshirts shoved in with newer ones that feel like they’ve been washed maybe once ever and are still stiffer than cardboard. And I am a stickler for good vintage tee selection. This place has it. They also have an amazinggggg selection of fall and winter coats. It’s not terribly huge but it is so well stocked from top to bottom you could easily spend an hour and change here just rummaging through their treasures. They feature their designer wares [deservedly so] in the window like badges of thrift-​combing honor, and they damn well deserve to because I’ve seen several really fabulous and rare looking vintage Louis Vuitton pieces here as well. There’s something for every vintage lover, even your pickiest messiah.
