Came to see Otto Piene’s exhibit, and loved that this facility was clean, peaceful, and had a friendly crowd. It’s completely free to come in, although drinks and food is prohibited. The people at the front desk are extremely nice and welcoming, while some staff inside may be the complete opposite. My friends and I were viciously yelled at for leaning on one of the pieces of Piene’s light exhibit. We, however, got the most out of his exhibit and stayed for an hour for what was supposed to be a 30 minute exhibit. The exhibits are short, but extremely worthwhile. Will be definitely checking this place out in the future for more exhibits, and steering clear of hostile staff!

I visited the gallery late this afternoon, during the last hour of the last day when some of Mark Greenwold’s paintings were exhibited. The gallery space is very attractive and both of the people working there were quite friendly. They still have some copies of Greenwold’s book($ 30 plus tax) and it’s really fascinating, even if you didn’t see the paintings in person.

WOW. This Gallery is just… wow to me. I saw Evan Penny’s sculptures exhibited in this gallery. The space is just stunning to me. Tall ceilings… when I walked into the gallery space. I was just awe inspired. Made me want to buy one of Evan Penny’s pieces… I wonder if I can afford them!?! Too scared to ask how much they are. THere is two floors.

Wonderful gallery concept. Stopped in here after visiting the New Museum a few doors down so we were fresh with contemporary ideas. It’s a quick gallery to go through. The 4th floor currently is showing 16th and 17th century Italian paintings that are really magnificent. Staff there was friendly too, and answered questions. There was a small pation off the 2nd floor that you could go on if you need fresh air. The movable gallery(elevator) is currently stationed on the top floor and is part of the Italian paintings exhibit. It only moves between floors 2 – 5 and is used as gallery space so don’t expect to ever ride in it. :(
