Disclaimer: I didn’t even get the wax I came for. I showed up on time for my appointment and then the woman who checked me in went into another room. I could see her just sitting there, doing nothing. I asked the other receptionist what was going on? The first woman then came out and asked me to wait more (after I was already sitting there for 15 minutes) because the guy with the key to the waxing room would be right back. Are you kidding? Don’t waste your time or assume they understand what an «appointment» is.

I was looking for a clean reliable wax center and decided to go to Spa Ela with a groupon deal. It was a very great decision. I love it! At this date I have had two vsits for braziian wax and will return. Its a very welcoming place with sweet, kind, attentive, friendly staff. Their friendliness creates a comfortable environment. Its a quick visit for wax and very professional. It is great affordable service. I do recommend.

For bikini wax Yes, for Facial NO (trust me) short and sweet. Ive been doing European facials for years and never had any esthetician work this way (with 101 distractions) left my face in some kind of a rash/​redness not even sure what it is never had it before after all the years of facials (extractions were a joke). Basically, now I need another facial from this ‘facial’.

I came here with a groupon for waxing. Iza did my waxing. Oh my what can i say! i have never had such a smooth and painless waxing in my entire life. Iza is awesome. She is from Brazil and very friendly and comforting. She made my entire waxing experience a pleasant one. One can see that she really knows what she is doing and she is an expert. I wouldnt go anywhere else for Waxing Anymore!

This place is especially convenient for those who work in midtown.
I can only speak to Iza’s brazilian waxes, but if the waxes are any reflection on the rest of her services, I have a feeling they are all top-​notch as well. I’ve tried my share of brazilian waxes in NYC and Iza’s work ranks easily in the top 5%, if not the best, of them all. The room where the waxes are done is small but clean. Iza uses different kinds of wax to target different areas (at least 1 hard wax and 1 soft wax). She is quick, efficient, genuine, and attentive to details. For the quality of her work, her price is very reasonable. My skin stays smooth and relatively free of ingrown hairs between waxes here.

Went in for my first Brazilian wax today and i have to say it was a pleasant experience, the staff was very friendly and professional. The technician was such a sweet heart, she definitely made sure I was comfortable through out the whole service. Not only was she courteous, she was truly an expert in her field very skilled. I will definitely be coming back for my next wax.

I went here for my second waxing ever last month. My first waxing was a horrible experience at a different place where I actually left in tears. Last month I grew the courage after months and months of scaring from my last waxing to try it out again. This place changed my whole view on waxing. It really matters where you go and who does it! The owner does all the waxing and she is so patient and understanding. Makes you feel totally comfortable and try’s to make your experience as pain-​less as possible. Now she’s the only women I trust and this is the only place I’ll go. The results are also beyond great!

And when I finally did get through and asked for an appointment the receptionist was extremely rude and said I should have called earlier? When I explained the phones hadn’t been working she was even more rude. Yeah really makes me want book an appointment…

Don’t go here for a Brazilian. My friend and I both went here, and while the experience was pleasant enough, I found large chunks of wax still stuck to some pieces hair in the shower later. In addition, both of us got quite a few ingrown hairs which almost never happens. The waxing process is all right, but the effects were less than satisfactory.

I found this place through groupon and payed $ 25 for a Brazilian wax. The woman that attended me was great, she was nice, gentle, and quick. She knew exactly what she was doing and what I really like was that she used three types of waxes on me, something that would cost over $ 75 at other places. Did an exceptional job, will be returning.

Spa Ela Bonita was wonderful! I honestly got the best deep cleansing facial and service ever at a spa. Ela is an expert at what she does. My skin looked clear and refreshed afterwards and I felt no shame walking down the street right after. She was sweet and friendly and so was her staff. The place is clean and she uses natural products that smelled delicious. I am definitely recommending this place to all my friends and family. And I’m definitely going back soon.

I got an email for spa week and called to book a massage and facial for me and my girlfriend. Chatted with the lady on the phone and added the cellulite treatment with Iza. Let me tell you, this lady rocks the house! she is amazing, takes her time and simply a lovely person. Joyce is lovely and i can’t wait to try her laser treatments. Can’t wait for the hot stone massage. An amazing place and will be going back for sure for a long time to come!!!

Came to Spa Ela Bonita after having purchased a Groupon, it was a conveniently located place exactly 4 blocks away from my office and on the way to my house.
Once I entered the place it looked very nice and the lady at the front desk was very nice and chatted with me for a while.
I walked in for what I know is a torture (being a girl is tough from time to time!)… but I cannot complain of the service I received. The lady who did the treatment– I forgot her name oops! — was REALLY nice and chatted with me about Brazil (where I’ve been before). I will definitely go back and not only for the convenience of the location but also because of the very good service I received!

I have been with Iza since 2006, doing facials mainly as well as pedicures and massage on occasion, Having lived all over (Boston, Miami Beach, NYC) I have tried all ‘fancy’ spa’s that charge more but don’t do the same quality work. Iza treats me like family, and does the same for all customers. She never rushes or watches the clock, and does what YOU need not what she wants to sell you! Being from Brazil, I know her background with skin care is the best. In fact, all she’s done is skin care I believe as her only career. The spa is cozy and convenient (I live walking distance) but midtown is easy for all nyc people! Try her you will leave feeling like you got what you paid for.
