History
Established in 2014.
After overcoming struggles with addiction and creative blocks, Cassie Fireman and Ben Curtis met right as they began to turn their lives around. Both professional actors, musicians and former athletes, both Ben & Cassie have always been committed to health, well being and creativity. The two met when Ben was just starting personal training and in training to become a yoga teacher. Cassie was already a personal trainer with her own business (Fireman Fitness), and she was in training at the Integral Yoga Institute to become a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner. They instantly connected, fell in love, joined forces and found they could make a greater impact on the world with their combined efforts. Out of their commitment to wellness on the planet, they created Soul Fit NYC.
Meet the Business Owner
Ben C. — Cassie F.
Business Owner
Ben is a professional actor and wellness/fitness/yoga instructor. Born and raised in TN, he grew up with a thirst for spirituality, sports and physical challenge, always connected to the mind and body. He received his BFA from NYU in Drama. He began personal training with fellow athletes and actors and soon fell in love with yoga. His passion for learning led him to his RYT certification at YogaWorks, a blend of Iyengar & Ashtanga. Ben brings passion, fun, compassion & an eye for detail and form to every client’s personal & physical growth.
Cassie is a gifted Thai Body Work practictioner, certified at the Integral Yoga Institute. She’s also an AFAA certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Although she has lived all over the world, she calls California her home. Cassie received her BA in Communications and Dance from the UCSD. Her approach to training is holistic, combines strength building exercises, thai massage, functional training, fun and meditation.
