Ordered a lunch combo and a coke, then I came back realizing no coke was in the paper bag, but my credit card was charged with $ 15.6 altogether.

I ordered twice. The first time was amazing but the second time was terrible. I ordered the shish tawouk I literally had four bites that included chicken, it was greasy and smelled greasy too. The sauce was too much probably to compensate the lack of chicken in the sandwich. I wouldn’t pay a dollar for that sandwich.

Growing up in Lebanon and coming to New York for University, I was beyond ecstatic when I found Souk and Sandwich. It is literally my favorite hub for authentic Lebanese sandwiches and food. I have found no other place in the city that successfully competes with the delightful tastes of the food from Lebanon.(For any and all of you fellow Beriutis, this place levels with Barbar.) Also, the service is always great — which just brings me closer to home. Defiantly try the felafel or djaa sandwiches. If you like fish, the samaka harra is also a awesome go too. But, anything you order will be great. If you can’t get yourself to go to Lebanon, Souk and Sandwich will bring you there. Always makes my day.

This is strictly a take out restaurant. I just needed to let that be known from the jump. Although I have had the opportunity to eat from various halal spots I have never eaten from a Lebanese inspired cuisine restaurant. Therefore, I don’t think I can give an honest review outside of the fact that I ordered a lamb kebab sandwich which was very good. There was a lot of flavor in the sandwich and the chef was definitely not skimpy with the meat. I should note that I showed up at around 11:30am when they had just opened and business was still slow. Prices are a little pricey compared to other halal spots I have ventured into and since I do not work in the area I really have no idea what typical lunch prices look like. Would I go out of my to get some Lebanese? Probably not. But if you’re in the area and in the mood for some hummus or other halal fare I say go give souk and sandwich a shot.

Way, way overpriced, average fast food, which is why I’m giving this shop one star. The panini(or whatever you call it in Arabic) are miniscule: a single thin sausage, or a few chunks of meat, in a wrap, with pickles and mayo — starting at $ 9! Outrageous. There’s nothing special about the sandwiches, and they are genuinely tiny. Order fries, or some cheese puffs, and a drink, and you are looking at $ 20-plus for fast food. No seats; nothing. Absolutely no reason to waste your money here.

Think ‘gourmet halal’ wrapped up in Lebanese bread. I stumbled upon this place while walking by and had to try it! The food is delicious. Sometimes it takes awhile for the sandwiches to come out. During rush hour, they have more people on staff so no matter what time of day you go, you’ll have to wait 5 – 10 minutes. I first had the sojuk. The first bite is a satisfying sensation of flavor and spice. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pickles but they weren’t unbearable. I also tried the djaj which was delicious as well.

Picked up the tasty but pricey-for-the-cuisine Betenjan Mashwi Sandwich $ 9.00(Grilled eggplant with our own marinade. No substitutions or changes.) and the Laban Ayran Mint $ 3.50(which is in a cooler out front) from the extremely narrow takeout space. FYI their site hasn’t been updated since they recently expanded their Grubhub/Seamless hours before 4pm… and Unilocal refused to remove the apostrophe in the listing address. FYI

Born and raised in Lebanon, I think I found THE place that reminds me of home. I went to S&S for like 6 times already and every time I order something different… Lebanese Delicatesse for real! Everything was mouth-watering, sandwiches are so rich in flavor, and I kind of like the fact that substitutions/changes are not recommended. To really enjoy Lebanese food, you have to order things AS-THEY-ARE, trust me! My S&S favs are: spicy hummus, phoenician fries, kibbe kras, karnabeet mekle sandwich, and all the meat sandwiches !!! YUM!

I went there with a few of my friends. We didn’t know what to get so we decided to get different things and share. And guess what? It was the best idea! We got to try many things on the menu and ITWASALLSOGOOD! It reminded us of the food back home(Lebanon). I would highly recommend it! My personal favorite was the Djaj(Chicken) Sandwich! The Hummus was amazing. The Taboule was delicious, too! Sour and yummy. Then we had Baklava for dessert and it was one of the best I’ve had in New York. As for drinks, you can’t go there and NOT try the minted lemonade. SOGOOD! The service was amazing. People were friendly and generous. This is my new go-to place in SoHo and I’m taking everyone I know with me!

Since discovering this gem 4 months ago, Souk & Sandwich has really fallen off the cliff. When I saw this place, I immediately thought that it was the sister eatery of Souk El Shater in Sunnyside, which I am a fan of, so naturally, I thought I was going to fall in love with this place… and I did. After my first bite onto the Shisk Taouk sandwich, I was hooked. Sure, the garlic toum was so strong, it left me resistant to much chit-chat for the rest of the day, but it was an explosion of different flavors and spices. There was a sufficient amount of chicken, so the amount of ingredients in the sandwich were pretty fair. I’ve also had the Falafel Sandwich, and it isn’t as great as I’ve had it at other places; the falafel itself is pretty flat and the sandwich isn’t as flavorful as the Shisk Taouk. Fast-forward a few months later, I come back and I can tell this place has been overwhelmed with orders and quality has really gone down with it. The wrap itself was supposed to be the most essential part of the wrap – it was slightly grilled, which made it so delicious – but it just… isn’t that great anymore. It’s one of the cheaper options in the area(ranges from ~$ 8-$ 10) since lunch can easily cost you an average of $ 12, but still pricey for a wrap sandwich, which you can usually get for around $ 5 or $ 6 in the outer boroughs.

I managed to stumble upon this place during my lunch break and was attracted towards the big crowd out the door, so I figured to see what the hype was all about. Being that two of my best friends are straight up Lebanese, I know what good authentic lebanese food tastes like. This is definitely authentic Lebanese food! The food here was mouth watering. I am a foodie and enjoy well cooked meals and flavorful colors. I decided to have the Benetjan mashwi sandwich which is basically an eggplant sandwich and a tabouli salad on the side. The eggplant had that perfect taste that’s hard to explain. It tasted very fresh as though my food was cooked with love for me personally. I’m a huge fan of tabouli salads. This salad was not too lemonay, nor too dry. It was honestly amazing. I just love the perfection of the way the colors and the way the salad all comes out together, one of my favs salads actually. Usually, I eat my Lebanese food around sutton place on the upper east side, but I think for sure this is definitely my new spot. Not only is the food really good, but there prices reasonable and there portions are just the right amount. I Highly recommend you guys to try this place out! Plus, there’s a cutie that works here at the cashier, So that’s always a thumbs up: p

Ok, so; Coming from a Lebanese background myself, I had to try this place! Here’s what I have ordered so far(LOL yes I’ve been here a lot now: D) –shish taouk sandwich This guy is my all time favorite Charcoal grilled chicken breast served with fries, pickles, coleslaw, and toum(all inside the sandwich) The toum has that authentic smell and flavor that reminds me of Lebanon back when I was in my teens walking on the rouche while eating my sandwich with my cousins! So far, they have the realist and most authentic garlic toum that I have tasted in NYC –betenjan mashwi sandwich this is my favorite vegetarian sandwich! I swear every time I eat it it’s like my teta(grandmother is Lebanese) is calling my name! Perfectly marinated and not too strong or weak. Has that perfect balance of spices. –kibbe burger This is by far one of the most creative burgers I have ever tried! Lamb and beef burger with toum, Lebanese pickles, and fresh mint! Every single bite made me want to demolish the burger more and more. Whatever seasoning they have in it makes me want to bite my fingers off! Oh, also, whatever you get, make sure you get that fresh mint lemonade drink they always have. Has that perfect balance of sour and sweet and so minty!(Because it’s a fresh MINT lemonade ;)) Btw, as me and the friendly guy at the counter were chatting, he told me they offer dinner delivery with more entrée options like Mujadara, moussaka, lamb stew!

I’m a fan of the Arnabeet Mekle Sandwich(marinated fried cauliflower, tomatoes & tahini sauce -$ 7.50) and I’m a fan of the vegitarain lunch combo(choice of 3 salads or dips for $ 9.25). Service is usually very fast and nice. I have only had a chance to try a small part of their menu, but I’ve liked everything I’ve tried, and I am especially impressed that they have six different vegetarian sandwiches. Much better choice than Ba’al.

It’s all right, and it’s definitely better than the greasy place it replaced. I got the lemonade, spicy hummus and their special with fries that day and it came out to be pretty hefty even for all I ordered. I ended up waiting for my food to come out last amongst my co-workers even though I had ordered first. I think next time-and there probably will be since it’s so close to my job I’ll just go with the quicker option of the dip/salad combo but that just seems a little overpriced as well.

A fantastic lunch spot for take out. Don’t go here if you’re looking to sit down for your midday meal. Do go if you would like fresh, excellently spiced Lebanese wraps and sides. I had the fish sandwich and it was spicy, fresh, well proportioned and not at all«fishy» tasting. I can’t compare it to authentic Lebanese food, but the flavors are well-balanced and delicious, so who cares.

Kofta sandwich was great. Well balanced ingredients, well grilled and wrapped. I think the sandwich is of the right size for 8.50 $ in soho. Fish sandwich was really sour. Not sure if it’s just me. I hope they stay alive for a while!

Good new option for healthy food in the area. I ordered a veggie combo dish, The platter was tasty and the service is quick and friendly. This area desperately needs more healthy on the go food so this place is a great addition. At $ 9.50 for a lunch meal it’s a bit expensive so I don’t know how often I’ll eat here.

I’d say yummm! I believe they just opened so bare with them… Had the shish taouk sandwich and the chicken was amazing, usually have weird taste buds for chicken but this was cooked and prepped just right ! Good quick grab and go lunch, as opposed to burgers and salads.

I ordered Tongue Sandwich. It took a very long time to make, but I’ll excuse that as «a 1st day jitters». It was delicious, but ridiculously small for $ 9.25. To get a fair deal it should be 2x larger, at the very least 1.5 the current size! Or half your prices. Increase your portion sizes or lower prices and you’ll win your customers, otherwise people will go elsewhere.
