Sling Shot NYC is a video post production company offering high speed digital dailies delivery, camera file transcoding to editing media, and LTO tape archive services. We have offices in lower Manhattan and downtown Los Angeles. With our partners we can move data to and from in London, Paris, Stockholm, Barcelona, and world wide with our Sling Shot NYC in the cloud service. We are also available for professional video consulting and project planing.

History

Established in 2014.

We started out transcoding camera files to editing media (Clip Flip service), then realized the need for getting footage shot in Los Angeles to New York much quicker than a traditional courier service could provide. That was the birth of our Sling Shot service, then we added LTO 6 data tape archive (Clip Archive service) to solve the problem of edit house and production company vaults bursting at the seams with hard drives. Our three core services, Sling Shot, Clip Flip, and Clip Archive, are all focused on production camera raw files, dailies /​rushes, and audio elements. Our team has over twenty years of experience in the post production industry and we will continue to help solve problems in the industry as technology continues to change.
