Super nice staff. They already know my name when I walk in. Always a great job for dry cleaning and wash & fold.

Wash and fold service is great — in by 9 am out by 4 pm and they pick up and deliver. So far, they’ve been consistent. They also go the extra mile and claim they separate whites from darks.(Can’t guarantee it but haven’t received any pink socks yet). Average prices for the neighborhood.

If I could give minus 10 stars, that’s what I would give. These folks have a disgraceful attitude and the quality of their work is worse than poor. Examples: They have an alleged price, but they increase the price for AKA guests(who obviously provide a lot of work based on proximity and recommendations by AKA). They literally make up prices for things to increase their own revenue. I sent about 10 pounds of laundry. They claim their charges are $ 18 for the first 10 pounds and $ 1.50 per pound after that. My bill was $ 86 which bore no resemblance to the number or size of items sent to them. I asked them to adjust. They had a very negative attitude and asked if I did not want them to make money. Then, I noticed that they’d placed my laundered laundry back into the plastic laundry bag which contained the dirty clothes. I complained so they put it in someone else’s dirty clothes bag. When I opened the laundry, it was still wet and at least 6 items were missing. Shame on AKA for recommending them. Shame on them for being so disrespectful and shame on them for having such a nasty attitude. I told them I would cancel the charge based on their misrepresentation(My husband had paid it not realizing what was involved.) These people are bad. It’s bad that AKA recommends them, and it impacts very negatively on AKA that they do. I’d run fast from these people. They overcharge, do a terrible job, are dirty, lose clothing and then argue when one attempts to have a reasonable conversation with them. They should not be in business.

This place is is horrible. The service from the workers here are just completely rude. Gave them jeans to alternate they completely messed it up. Didn’t even want to fix it in this store. They tried pulling the blame on me saying I haven’t given clear instructions Service is poor. Prices are over priced there are many more tailors and dry cleaners in the area WOULDNOT recommend this one!

This place messed up my wife’s dress my sweaters came back with lint all over them. Don’t go to them, give your business to someone else. The pricess are high, service is shaky as well

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years. I haven’t had any problems with dry clean items being lost or damaged. They are very good with telling you what can and cannot be fixed(holes, stains, etc). Prices seem reasonable to me. They deliver which is nice and items get cleaned in a pretty good amount of time. I have never used their laundry service so I can’t speak to that. I have used the tailor a handful of times. I would say it’s kind of inconsistent — she’s good with dresses(and as someone mentioned, will tell you when she can’t do something). I find with pants sometimes the hem falls out quickly or seems sloppily done. And some times I’ve had to go back because something wasn’t done the way I wanted. But I would say more often than not, my alterations turn out ok.

This place gets five stars because of the seamstress, Kathy, who is a miracle worker. I bring my most expensive stuff to her to alter and she always does a first class job. She is better than the tailors they have in the upscale department stores. If Kathy says something can’t or shouldn’t be done to a piece of clothing, then believe it. She never tries to sell you altering that isn’t needed. She can also do rush work if you have an emergency alteration need, but that’s for regular customers.

Picked up the three items I had left for dry cleaning only to find one of the items completely wrinkled and dirty, hung with the belt tied in a bow as if I wouldn’t notice that this piece of clothing wasn’t even touched! Left me scrambling for another outfit that am… I trudged back and showed this to the woman at the front(who had accepted my $ and given me the clothing). She didn’t seem at all surprised but, rather, quite annoyed, trying to tell me that it was cleaned. After checking something in the back she comes back to announce that, no it wasn’t cleaned, bc a seam was coming loose. No apology for charging me for all of the pieces, no apology for not mentioning that one of the pieces wasn’t cleaned, no apology for wasting my time. Then she tries to tell me that I’ll get a credit for the NEXT time. Yeah right. I tell her I want a refund as I won’t be coming back. She doesn’t know how to process a refund to a credit card and now I’ll have to come back AGAIN as the owner isn’t there to ok a cash refund. AREYOUKIDDINGME? I tell her to call me when she speaks to the owner so I don’t waste ANOTHERTRIP. I get the call and when I come back in FOR A THIRDTIME she barely acknowledges me, drags her lazy butt to the cash register and has the audacity to tell me the owner said he called me twice to let me know they couldn’t clean the item. REALLY? Well then why wasn’t it clearly noted on my p/u ticket? Why did you CHARGE me for an item that wasn’t cleaned? BS. YOUMADEANERROR, ADMITIT, APOLOGIZE and save the business. I’m a frequent customer but only for the seamstress Cathy who is a wizard. She’s altered over a dozen dresses for me and does an amazing job. She’s also honest about which dresses cannot be tailored.

same day service exists in price but not in execution. to boot, the customer service is tragic at best. i’ve been here three times now. the first visit: no problems. the second visit: i dropped off on a thursday, came back in on friday and they could find my laundry. i was told they would call me back within 20 minutes and let me know what happened. this was around noon. as promised, they called back and said that my laundry would be done by 3. frustrating, but hey, it happens. the third visit, almost the same as the second. dropped off on a friday morning, came in on saturday at noon and they told me to come back at 2 o’clock.(they close at 4 and are not open on sundays. therefore, i’ve got to put my plans on hold for two hours so i can have clean clothes.) unacceptable. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.

Been going here since moving to NY10 months ago on a recommendation from several neighbors in my building and haven’t had any complaints. The prices are very reasonable, they deliver and are very accomodating.

The staff at Skyscraper are pleasant and professional. The second time I stepped into the shop, the man at the counter pulled out my shirts and laundry without having to ask my name! They have continued to impress me with the attention to detail in both seamstress work and cleaning. I never get delivery because I enjoy walking in and saying hello to the people working here.
