So I am on a FTR adventure and always trying to find places that aren’t on Unilocal and trust you me, that is pretty difficult.
This convenience store is pretty close by to my work and home and on some nights, when I am on my way home, I stop in to get a few things.
This place mainly sells Chinese groceries, and the staff here mainly speak Chinese (they are Fujianese, but Mandarin works here).
They carry mainly non-​perishables here, but they do have milk and eggs. They sell everything from tofu, to frozen goods (edamame, frozen dumplings, Fuzhou fish balls, etc), to every possible Chinese snack you can think of…
I usually buy some seaweed snacks, Chinese saltine crackers, frozen edamame, and whatever baked goods that are on offer by the cash register. Since it is Lunar New Year, I did buy some nian gao (sweet red bean cake) and plan to heat it up at home.
You can also find Pocky here, and also all sorts of Chinese condiments you need for cooking.
Definitely a nice convenience for me (prices reasonable), especially when I am in the mood to have some Chinese snacks.
