2013 was the year of dental work for me. I had a wisdom tooth extraction, impacted molar extraction, cleanings, and various other work done in 2013 just trying to get my mouth into the new millenium.
Let me emphasize this. The customer service and professionalism is of the very highest quality. Everyone is super friendly and super professional. So much so, I actually am happy to go to the dentist! Dr. Massiah is gentle and hyper aware of any sensitivity you may have to pain. He stops if you need him to and is patient with you if you need that as well.
All of his equipment is the very latest and state of the art. They took pictures of my molars which had lost its filling and a monitor swiveled right in front of me to show me what my tooth looked like and why it needed to be removed. The same for x-​rays. He even showed me an animation of the procedure that was going to be performed on an ipad. The tools he used to extract my molar were a relatively new set of tools developed to make extractions less intrusive. He showed them to me and explained in. This is what you want, a dentist who is constantly learning and staying on the cutting edge of technological advancements in the field.
I had to be referred to an oral surgeon for my impacted wisdom tooth. Even that experience was awesome. I expected an impacted wisdom tooth extraction to be painful and difficult. Instead, it was done so quickly I thought the dentist was leaving to get another set of tools. Nope. He was done! Awesome.
The hygienist is also patient and gentle and takes her time to explain what she’s doing, why she’s doing it and what I should be doing at home to improve my oral health. 5 stars.
I dont know who those staff members were, but I do know that his staff now, is 5 star material. Every single one of them. I read some of the reviews and see that some folks are motivated to put negative energy out there even years after the experience. I’m glad I hadn’t seen that before I visited Dr. Massiah.
I’ve been to this office about 6 times in the past 1.5 years. 6 visits isn’t a fluke. I really cannot recommend a dentist more highly. I leave the dentist’s office feeling confident that I’ve recieved the very highest level of dental care. One really cannot do better than this.

How reassuring to find a response posted regarding my bad experience OVER THREE YEARS LATER!!!
Now that I live on the opposite coast, no, Dr Shaun, there really isn’t anything you can do to make my experience more positive.
It took six months of healing along with a procedure by an oral surgeon to undo the damage caused by this «simple extraction».
Even today, my routine cleanings are so terrifying, I have to be medicated to show up for the appointment.
I would sooner die in a fire than ever see this horrible dentist again.

I was referred to my current dentist by my former dentist, Dr. Nathan Watson, when he decided to relocate to the west coast. Everyone in this office has a great smile which is very important to me if you are going to be taking care of me teeth. My dental hygienist, Soeurette, is absolutely amazing. She has great chair-​side manner and really makes my teeth shine. My posterior work was done by Dr. Massiah, himself. His calmness puts me at ease through any procedure and his desire for perfection makes me feel comfortable in his care. I am very pleased with my dental services and highly recommend this office.

Excellent Service from beginning to end! From the moment I made my appointment to the conclusion of my services — the staff of this dental office are on point. Very pleasant, thorough, accommodating, helpful and attentive. Dr. Messiah listened to my concerns and made me feel heard and attended to.

I have been going to Dr. Massiah since May 2011, and him and his staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable. He talked to me and explained each step as he was performing them. The team is punctual, thrive for efficiency, and their equipment is modern and high tech.
I completely LOVE my hygienist Soeurette — she is sweet, efficient, informative, and caring, and I am lucky for having found them when my gums most needed help.

The staff is so friendly and nice and makes it a really enjoyable experience. I was so impressed that the receptionist remembered me and the fact that I had a twin, after meeting her only once 6 months ago at my first appointment! Dr. Massiah is very kind and honest, and does not claim you need procedures when you really don’t.
I was running 30 minutes late to my last appointment and I was certain they wouldn’t see me, but they were so accommodating, seeing me right away and didn’t seem bothered by it at all. I really appreciate how understanding they were in not giving me a hard time about it.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Massiah to anyone new to the city, or someone who is looking for a nicer, better dentist. I plan to stay with him as long as I live in the city.

it was the best of times. it was the worst of times.
the service provided, the staff and the pricing were all good but my teeth, my cavity laden teeth are what made my visit less than enjoyable. if only i had gone sooner and not eaten at all of the delicious places Unilocalers suggested. why me lawd?
but enough about me and my raggedy mouth… dr. massiah, the dental technician and even the receptionist (hey kisha!) were all super friendly and efficient. i have full confidence that they will fix the tragedy taking place in my mouth.
bonus points – the orthodontist he referred me to is right across the hall in the same building. woo hoo!

I was very impressed with the cleaning that I received at Dr. Massiah’s office! I found the hygienist & the doctor to be personable, thorough & gentle. The office also has state of art equipment with computerized x-​ray machines for instant results.
Regretfully, there is a flip side to this compliment. The staff is relentless in trying to upsell their products & services.

Dr. Massiah is very friendly and his office staff are very kind. There were a couple fumbles with setting up my account as the computers weren’t working that day. However, once that was set the office staff did their best to accommodate me. Aside from having to endure quite a few fillings, I enjoyed my experience there. He wants to make sure each client is totally happy… they even called the next day to follow up. Great service.

Sadly, those fillings were given to me on 6 perfectly good teeth. Yes, that’s right. I had ZERO cavities and Dr. Massiah drilled into my beautiful teeth and put porcelain fillings into 6 teeth!!! I found this out because a year later my teeth were STILL hurting (and I had gone back to him to try to fix the problem although my bite felt off and me teeth extremely sensitive as he drilled too deeply~with no remedy). Since I got no relief from a second visit, I decided to ask for my original x-​rays he had taken and go to a new dentist. This new Dentist looked at the x-​rays and said I had had NO CAVITIES!!! My whole life I never had but one teeny cavity in the very back of my mouth so why would I suddenly have SIX because I was now in my 30’s??? Ugh!!! I had just had my first baby and have heard for years that women’s teeth go to hell when they get pregnant because the baby leeches calcium from your body. Well, I surely was shocked when he said I had 6 but I just trusted him because he was so nice and seemed to know what he was doing and I had not been to the Dentist in about 3 years (no insurance). He was the «Professional» after all.
Massiah never corroborated with the X-​rays –only this new toy he had just received (called the Diagnodent) that is supposed to determine if someone has cavities by placing it inside your tooth and it BEEPS if it detects a cavity. Well, dang it, yeah-​I had some natural deep grooves in my teeth but ABSOLUTELY NO TOOTH DECAY!!! What an idiot!!! I’ve recently had to have one of these fillings fixed already!!!
Needles to say, I was pretty upset and confronted Massiah by writing him a letter. He never responded. Luckily (or unluckily) I live in the same building as his office so I ran into him one day. I asked him why he didn’t write me back and he mumbled something about how I just went off about the Diagnodent-​and he didn’t understand. Yeah right– he didn’t understand. Either he is the stupidest person around or he is the sneakiness charlatan. I told him that I wanted to be reimbursed for my fees paid and that he had to reimburse my insurance company as well. He did reimburse me (as he surely feared a lawsuit) but never my insurance. Cheat.
BEWARE. STEER CLEAR. CHARLATAN AFOOT. NICE ON THE OUTSIDE. NOTHING ON THE INSIDE. CHARMING BUT DEADLY.
I thought about suing him –and probably should just go ahead and do it.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Massiah. He, and his staff, are extremely competent, helpful, and friendly. I’ve been going to Dr. Massiah for 3 years for everything from a chipped tooth to cleanings, fillings, and even had my Invisalign treatment through him. The Invisalign results are amazing, and while it took a little longer than I thought, my teeth look fantastic. He is very in tune to his patients needs, and you never wait more than 10 minutes for him or his staff to begin treatment. I would recommend Dr. Massiah to anyone.
