Seniorbridge Family

SeniorBridge is a sketchy /​unethical company. They employ awful home care workers and tolerate inexcusable behavior on the part of these individuals. Generally, in my experience (based on a semi-​large sample), their home care workers enter your living space and go to sleep. If you try to ask them for something, they ignore you, sometimes pretending not to hear. When they are not staining or otherwise destroying your furnishings, they watch TV game shows for most of the morning while not sleeping /​under the pretense of sleeping. If you ask them to do something (e.g., as easy as helping to get something you can’t reach [let alone help you get to a doctor’s appointment]), they look at you like you are asking them to singlehandedly construct a bridge to the moon. These types of requests can anger and cause SeniorBridge home care workers to yell at you. If you complain about the behavior to the company’s administration, they treat you like you are in the wrong, going through, what seemed to me, practiced motions. In addition, while purporting to understand your medical issues, they have absolutely no comprehension of them, and this extends to their supposedly «well trained» nursing staff. When I told my doctor about advice /​conclusions one of their «medically trained» staff members dispensed, he was outraged. I am honestly surprised there hasn’t been a very public class action suit against this organization. In dealing with them, always keep in mind that the SeniorBridge approach is based on financially taking advantage of people they think are incapable of standing up for themselves. If you are in a situation where you must work with them, I recommend taking the following steps: 1) Have an expectations meeting at the outset of the relationship where such expectations are ultimately built into your contract; 2) Set up time restrictions for home care workers making private /​social phone calls while in your employ upfront (otherwise, this is where most of their day can go); 3) Have a sheet in place where you ask that home care workers log their daily activities in 15 minute increments; 4) Tell them you have a hidden camera; 5) Have access to a camera and document poor care /​results of poor care with photos; 6) Disconnect your television; 7) If in any way possible, make sure to have others who work in your building and/​or family members periodically come by, unannounced, and ask the home care workers about their daily activities; 8) Have an outside social worker, unaffiliated with SeniorBridge check on home care worker activities and size up their individual situation analysis; 9) Don’t be afraid to threaten to call the police if necessary; 10) If there are persistent abuses, contact authorities.

This is worst company. They are not honest in the billing and once they got my credit card number they billed without any documents Not honest

I don’t know why Unilocal filtered all the one-​star reviews. I would say they’re being biased because this organization is honestly sketchy. I was recommended it by a social worker. My mother was going through a phase and they told us we had to have a nurse look after her for $ 65/​hour. This review doesn’t get one star because they did let us interview the aides/​nurses and the people we used did look after my mom, and the woman who set us up was very nice and did check in regularly for no additional charge, but they were really hectoring with $ 19K bills. And most likely we didn’t need to pay nurses to look after my mom. My mother’s savings has been drained, so now we can apply for Medicaid. Thanks Seniorbridge.

Superb organization that helps family with elderly or incapacitated loved ones far away: geriatric management. Not cheap, but worth it: caring and competent people. Thanks!
