This place is too poppin’! I gave it 4 stars because they are super pricey and because they close way too early(around 6 or 7pm) but other than that it’s worth it. Quality fresh fish and veggies, made to be steamed. They have other options available like fish sandwiches, but if you go, you definitely want to grab an empty bucket and fill it up with your choice of fish and sides so they can season and steam it for you. I’m from Harlem so trust me when I tell you its the best seafood option around!

Been Coming Here For Years & I Love It. It’s So Big Inside Thank God For That Because I Hate Being On Top Of People. They Have These Little Bench Seats Inside As Well. An They Have A Wide Variety. Very Clean & Neat Just Love Coming Here. Staff Is Wonderful. My Mom Actually Introduced Me To This Place & Ever Since That’s Where I Go To Get My Steamed Food.

Love this place. Pick your seafood and your veggies and they steam it for you. Seafood is by the pound and veggies are by the package. Delicious. I always try to go here when I come to NY.

Sea and Sea was a special meal for my boyfriend and I about once a month. The steam king crab or salmon with the butter and seasoning with veggies had us coming back. It’s been probably 4 or more months since we had a meal there. We’re not sure what happened in the meantime, but we won’t go back. The crab was green, the salmon went up in price and didn’t look very good. We got the king fish, I believe. We each took one bite. It didn’t taste right and the rest went in the trash. The veggies were good enough until I found a hair in it. The place will be missed as it used to be.

This place is great if you know how to order!!! Also come early in the day for fresh seafood, if you come later, you will probably get the leftover. Basically, you pick up what you want, add the veggies packed in little bags, bring it to the counter, they will wait it and charge you. Tell them how you want your seafood to be cook, they will give you a ticket and just wait for your numbers to be called. This market is smelly so expect that when you come. There’s street parking, but it gets fill up pretty quickly. Nearby the 125stABCD metro. If you double park outside the market… You will get a ticket, trust me on this, I have seen it so many times lol.

sea and sea is a fish market that actually makes really good steamed and fried foods on the side. Its pefect because you can pick up your seafood(fish, crabs, lobster, clams, muscles), combine them with your vegetables and have them steamed. If your more into fried food then they also serve fried seafood at the front counter for a bargain(mostly under $ 15). The only negative thing about this business is for some wierd reason they take food stamps but not debt cards. Only in harlem!

I love love love steamed seafood, shrimp, clams, broccoli. Potatoes etc… But I don’t think this fish market has what it takes, now they have more than one franchise and I believe the one on 116 is the best location, the floor in this place is always wet and muddy, slippery, loud and ghetto and the workers in there are rude as hell, this fish market is definitely my LAST resort.

I been there a few times and my advice is bypass the counter and go and pick out fresh fish of your choice. then select the veggies(onions and broccoli). then you tell them you want it steamed… they will give it the counter, tell them add old bay seasoning if they don’t and they will steam it for you… takes approx 25+ minutes and when its done, they will pour melted butter(if you wish) over your dish and wrap it up! I can say that it was one of the best porgies I ever had… Note: the only time I ordered fried fish at the counter was when I purchased a whiting sandwich. It comes with 2 – 3 pieces on white/wheat bread. And don’t forget the tartar and a dash of salt and pepper. hot sauce if you like a kick! But if you want fresh… you have to have time and patience.

I tried: Combo #3(3 pieces of fish, 5 pieces of shrimp, fries) Pros: — Incredibly cheap($ 5.50 for the combo listed above) — Fast service if you assert yourself(there wasn’t a clear line when I went) Cons: — Fish didn’t seem like the freshest — Frying method /batter left me feeling bad You can come here to buy all sorts of fish/sea food, and it seems to me like more of their business is around their fresh fish selection than their cooked food selection. There’s no tables, and the only seating is a few benches in the middle to sit on if your’e waiting for your order. What you get is pretty straightforward. Sub-par service, sub-par food for cheap. But really, something about how they fried the fish made it seem heavier than necessary, and although I generally love fish and chips, this was not an entirely enjoyable experience for me. Obviously it will be greasy and feel unhealthy, but this one felt much more so than it needed to be. Come here for a quick meal to bring home for cheap, but don’t expect to feel great after you eat a plate of everything deep fried.

this place is a big scam, the fish maybe ok but the service is horrible, korean ppl working behind the counter with no manners. I asked for a simple dish and one of my favorite fried red snapper, this was the second time I came here this week so i knew what to expect, big mistake. The guy gave me three tiny pieces and I mean it, very tiny pieces and a normale size one and when I complained he didn’t like it, definitly a place to avoid, I don’t understand how this place is still in business all this years. ps: their prices are above all other fish markets in the area.

It’s nice to find a healthy place in Harlem to eat. The fish is very fresh and they steam your order right on the spot. It does take then a while to steam some of the bigger fish u can order, but it is well worth the time.

The fish selection appears to be wide and since I wake up and go to the gym at an ungodly hour, I can tell you that the fish is delivered fresh relative to the rest of the crap seafood one scores in Harlem. Plain and simple: if you want fresh seafood and inexpensive prices, you gotta HAULYOURLAZYASS to Chinatown. Done. Period. End of Discussion. But I come to Sea & Sea to get super cheap fried seafood and french fries. It’s like $ 5 for 10pcs of big shrimp and fries! Better here than the Popeye’s around the corner.

A pretty big fishmonger/seafood joint with a large selection of affordable fish. You won’t find super-fancy fish, but you’ll see plenty of fresh snapper, whiting, turbot, flounder, and other every-day varieties. Also has the typical well-priced Harlem-style steam/fry carryout option, with a range of 6 or 7 types of fish to pick from.
