I’ve been waiting for Scotch & Soda to make an appearance in the nuevo trendy West Village. Its new prime corner shop fits in nicely on boutique-​row Bleecker St.
The Scotch & Soda «Amsterdam Couture» brand is ubiquitous in Amsterdam, and while there I enjoyed shopping at their various boutiques with slightly different clothing selection. Don’t let «couture» scare you away.
The Bleecker St shop has a nice layout, feels uncluttered, is well lighted and has good selection. The salespeople are friendly and eager to please, maybe because it’s new. For a non-​high end fashion, non-​brand label-​but still likes quality kinda guy, I think its men’s clothing is on-​trend. I’m sure the women’s is too. The Dutch sure know how to dress casual chic. Check it out.
