Looking for a quick pizza in NYC where we can sit down and not overly expensive. (Not necessarily an easy task!) We walked into Sbarro’s. I’ve never been to one, though I’ve been told they are a large chain. Food was very good, hot and tasty. It is a cafeteria style check out and the staff is not overly friendly, but pretty typical of NYC. Only bad part was the seating area — extremely dirty and flies were all over.

It really not good food, but the good part is the prices and hours of operation.
I mean, if you’re in NYC and you fell like having a slice, you can try maaaaaany different places, but this one will serve you beers and you can eat a not terrible slice seating down.
This particular location is, the 2 times I’ve been there, nasty. The eating room downstairs is dirty and the bathroom is a mess that does not even lock the door.

We were hungry, looking for anything, and stumbled into this place hoping it would be good. It definitely was! It was delicious and so satisfying. The staff was very friendly too.
They have a large buffet with a nice variety. We didn’t try the buffet but it still looked delicious.

Really great food. Plus the prices are fair and inexpensive :). Love the pizza and the spaghetti. All this plus the cleanliness is the reason I rated this a 5⁄5. I’m absolutely going to come back here. Money well spent here.

This just happened. I figured I’d join their e-​club as a humorous distraction at work in hopes of receiving the occasional amusing correspondence from a terrible chain that’s been rescued from Chapter 11, and they dragged me in by including a free slice coupon in the welcome email. It was just as appalling as I remembered from childhood, though an extra star for surprisingly friendly staff (and a shame-​on-​you for the apparently handful of regulars just during my 2 minutes there).

For a Sbarro it gets a five from me!!! Nice employees, buffet style Italian food also at this location. Inexpensive and plenty of room to sit down– also has a bathroom! Pretty clean too …

Sbarro on 34th has decent late night pizza options. Nothing special here. Staff are quick, to the point, want to get you in and out as the line becomes long quickly.
The pizza is tasty, although I am not sure I would have it as my top option if it weren’t late night eating.
The counters could have been a bit cleaner, but again, a decent experience and priced right for hurried, grab and go dining.
