Formed in 2008, Global Solar Center was created to educate people about solar energy. We try to bring unity to the ever changing, fragmented landscape of the renewable energy sector. We provide free solar quotes to people interested in solar nationwide and give them all the tools and resources they need to make a smart decision regarding solar energy. We then connect our customers with qualified, local installers to complete their projects.

Global Solar Center is led by Jack D. Hidary, a noted expert in renewable energy and clean technologies. Hidary sits on the board of the National Renewable Energy Lab and his work has recently been featured in Thomas Friedman’s new book Hot, Flat, and Crowded. Committed to community and philanthropic causes, Hidary has received several industry and community awards as well as being recognized as a Global Leader of Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum, Davos. Hidary is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Clinton Global Initiative.
