Great service. I had a hard drive installed in a Macbook Pro about 6 months ago and it recently went bad(luckily I had warning before it died since it kept freezing). Not only did Safenet replace it, but they restored all of my data. Try to get that done at Apple! Thanks for the great service.

So after a nightmare experience where i had one asshole company screw me for 2 days(think of the lost wages). and yet still didnt fix my laptop. Then going to a stack of apple ‘authorized’ dealers only to be told a BS story that it would cost 800 – 850 at all of them to fix my screen(LCD) because they HAVE to replace the lid, and that it would be more economical to buy a new machine(oh thats what you want. isnt it ahole — its only 8 months old so no. i will not). I decided to screw the warranty and do myself. I ordered the part for $ 180 including shipping from iFixit, but then lost confidence in fixing myself. Best try that computer store in my street? Sure. why not! 1st rule. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The place is def a computer guy’s den, bits and parts all over the place. however… 1) i didn’t wait in some stupid pseudo doctors surgery line to be served. 2) the guy how served me was lovely and no BS, and was happy to use the part after inspection 3) the labor was super affordable 4) in the end i am now typing on my precious income machine as good as new… SAMEDAY I DROPPEDITIN!!! 5) bonus points: turns out he is authorized apple repairer. i even tipped him as he simply made my day by being the service I was looking for.

As an IT professional, when I start a new job, I always invariably wait for someone to ask me THE question. «Hey Jim… I’m having problems with my home computer /laptop» It’s almost like waiting for the announcement of «it’s time to clean the communal refrigerator out people!!» It’s usually at a particular stressful time unbeknown to the requesting party. On any given day, here is the IT guy’s thoughts. 1. Did the backups happen? 2. Any viruses today? 3. Who will say«whoopsie» to me today? 4. Why is the internet so slow, and it is your responsibility to make it go faster!!! 5. What Karaōke songs can i really NAIL tonight, if I can get out of here before 7pm. or…something like that… I eventually look slowly at the carpet, and have a slow eye roll upward, meeting their eyes, with a smile. Metaphorically, put my arm around them, and say…“walk with me.”. «Let me tell you about my friend Jerry. He’s right around the corner.» Jerry, and his team, can either fix your computer, or build you a GREAT generic computer, for between $ 300 to $ 500.(see him for details) There’s nothing I don’t think these guys can’t do. His hourly labor rates are VERY reasonable! I’d take him over Geek Squad or anyone else, hands down. And that allows me to think about more«important things». At the end of that walk, I metaphorically, slip that card inside the requester’s pocket. Tap the pocket… and whisper…“call this guy.” ;)
