Ruzica de Falica Day Spa and Laser Center

I love, love, love Ruzica and her husband Rudy. Professional, warm and you get to have a personal relationship with both of them. Rudy never fails to ask me about my beloved Yankees.
All that aside, the spa itself is warm and inviting and very, very clean. And the services are wonderful. I go to see Ruzica herself for facials and hair removal, and she is very thorough and gentle and gets thing done beautifully.
Some may find that the spa is on the expensive side but, as they say, you absolutely get what you pay for!

Ruzica is the absolute best!!! I had been going to a dermatologist for half a year who was trying to fix my acne yet she couldn’t. She kept on giving me different products (full of chemicals) to put on my face and I had no other option but to listen to her. I had been referred to Ruzica from my best friend and the first time I met her, I trusted her with my face. She completely transformed my face and now my acne is clearing up after a month of going to her. She knows what she is talking about and truly cares about how I am doing rather than just making money. Also, this is a family owned space and I absolutely love Ruzica and Rudy! Such amazing and caring people. I recommend them 100%!!!

I love Ruzica, Rudy and Adrianna. This is a family owned spa and seriously they have the highest quality of professionals. Where do I begin:
Nails/​Manicure and Pedicure-​Adrianna is absolutely superb. She takes her time in order to ensure perfection. Amazing.
Facials/​Peels/​Dermabrasion/​Ruzica the owner is more knowledgeable than a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. She researches endlessly for the best products to ensure that her clients only get the best. I have been coming here regularly for 6 years and the compliments from everyone indicates I look at least 10 – 15 years younger than I am. Now that’s an amazing feat in it itself!
Products-​again excellent-​never has anything she doesn’t personally use or tests.

Wonderful day spa — true European style! The services are extremely luxurious and pampering. The staff is very professional and friendly. Everyone is great but I especially love and recommend Cristina and Adriana for perfect manis and pedis and Florela for amazing massages and facials! Laser hair removal with Ruzica is very effective. Highly recommend this place!

Since my last review is not showing up. I have to post again. The onwer canceled my appointment because I asked her if she used a different wax during last visit. I was asking if that was a different wax, (not a cheaper one). The owner said i insult ed her business and refused to work w me.
A weird and rude place that i will never visit again.

I used to go the spa regularly but now I only go about once a month for my pedicure. I use Cristina for my pedicure (since the woman I usually use left) and she does a fabulous job. While most of the woman who work there are very sweet there is one woman who is not and sadly because of her sully attitude, the woman I went to regularly left.
I do recommend the location, and any of the girl for a manicure or pedicure, but I do NOT recommend Marianna. She is incredibly rude.

Worst Salon in NYC! SO DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY and RUDE!

If you have never been, don’t go. If you’re been, or know people who do, I suggest you never go again. My mom has been going there for 25+ years, and will never go back again. The owner is unprofessional, the salon is disgusting, dirty, crowded and unsanitary and way overpriced for its product, services and equipment. It’s 2013, what salon doesn’t have an autoclave? #disgusting
I woke up this morning like many others and put a spritz of perfume on before I left the house. I did my morning errands and decided to take a ride to sit with my mom while she gets her nails done, and had totally forgotten that the owner is allergic to perfume.
When I arrived, rather than nicely reminding me that we cannot wear perfume, and politely asking me to leave before it made her uncomfortable, she waited until an hour into me being there, asked someone to come get my personal cell phone number and called me from the back of the salon to SCREAM at me over and over again.
I’ve also had facials and lazer done there. Their machines are shit, they try to sell expensive product to you that you could order online for half the price.
What happened to professionalism?

I have been coming to Ruzica de Falica since June of 2010. I go in for laser and it has been great. There have been times when I have come in and I have recently had a breakout and Ruzica always has a homeopathic solution for them or something natural. She has advised me of foods I can add to my diet and they have all helped. One time I came in with what I thought was the start of an ear infection. Ruzica added some garlic oil drops to my ear and it was gone immediately and I have not had any trouble since. Ruzica is a knowledgeable person who takes her work seriously. Rudy is also awesome, I have had to reschedule appointments and he has always been very kind. Ruzica has made my move from Miami easier. I plan on scheduling other laser, peels, manicures and pedicures in this spa. I recommend them 100%.

I have been to this spa two times and I love it. I have had a facial, a massage, and a mani and pedi here, as well as a spa lunch. I loved it all, but I especially loved the massage. Carmen is wonderful! I am looking forward to going back there again soon!

Experience a great massage with Carmen at Ruzica!
My friend surprised me on my birthday by making reservations at her favorite spa, Ruzicas. There I experienced the best massage ever with a wonderful massage therapist. Carmen, my massage therapist, a great personality, so warm and kind, invited me in the massage room. We talked about my physical condition and my concerns. Moreover, she explained to me about the massage she will perform. Acting with so much professionalism, Carmen knew exactly what my body needs: the heated pillow that distressed my muscles, the aromatic oils that opened my senses and the stretches that brought the tonus of my body. The massage with Carmen was a great experience. Therefore, I made a habit and I go at Ruzicas for massages with Carmen. Not that I encountered a good and very professional massage therapist, but I also gained a new friend.

I stopped in here randomly without an appointment because I didn’t have time to go to my usual place. When I asked if there was anyone available for a bikini wax the older gentleman at the counter looked me up and down and said in a very creepy, joking way that HE was and proceeded to laugh. I should have left right then as I was highly offended at his suggestion.
They present themselves (in price and advertising) as a higher end hair removal and nail salon but the inside does not look like much of a step up from your corner Korean nail salon.
The bikini wax was horrendous! I was asked to lay down on a table with a sheet of paper that barely covered the table and was too short so my legs were scrunched up. The following 10 min were some of the most painful of my life! I don’t know what she was doing but there was no reason it should have hurt that much. And on top of everything I got home to realize she had missed an entire section!!!

I cannot say enough about Ruzica. I’ve been a facial girl since my college days. I’m now 41 and I’ve been to many estheticians and top salons between here and LA. She is hands-​down the best. I had marks on my face that I assumed were permanent, but apparently not. After a few sessions, Ruzica’s made them disappear. She’s been a pro at this for a very long time, and brings that European tradition of excellence in facial care. Of course, she gives an EXTREMELY thorough cleaning, but the thing that I have to rave about are the peels and the laser treatments (which are painless btw). OH. MY. GOD., did they make my skin look younger, more elastic and plump. My skin is glowing and fresh. Just amazing. Ruzica always knows just which peel to pull out of her hat for where your skin is at the time. Ruzica and her husband are warm, good people too. As I’ve gotten a little older, I’ve had to keep an extra 5 pounds on me just to keep my face from getting drawn. I was shocked to see that with Ruzica’s treatments, I don’t even have to and I honestly look younger and better than in pictures from years ago. Unbelievable.
