Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but Roisin Dubh is actually very cute and cozy inside. Pretty standard Irish pub offerings, but the food was surprisingly good! They have a bunch of interesting salads that I didn’t expect from a bar(tangerines in one, grapes, tomato and red onion in another) and the«Irish nachos» were amazing… fries with two cheeses, green onions and bits on bacon(hey, I had a salad!)…mmmm. They also had chicken skewers wrapped in bacon in a tomato cream sauce, which honestly sounded gross, but I stole a bite and it was delicious. If you are wandering around Tribecca, I definitely recommend stopping in.

This place is right near work and it is where my legal division has all of our happy hours. In fact, this is where I planned this year’s Division Holiday Party as well. This is a good little Irish bar with surprisingly good food. They have a wide selection of beers, and the place is rarely busy so the service is adequate. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly as well. Warning: If there is some sort of football(a/k/a Soccer) game on, the place will be packed. When planning our holiday party, they were a little ‘off’ and it took a while to get all the details and contract hemmed out. Once we had everything in writing, all was fine. The allowed us to use the entire restaurant area, and set it up quite nicely. We had a buffet with ravioli and cream sauce that was actually good, sausage and peppers(yay) which I really liked, the wings were mediocre, and the veggie dumplings ran out before I got to them, so they must have been good enough. The bar service during our party was quite attentive as well, I never had an empty glass(unfortunately for me the next morning). It’s a good casual place to go for a drink or a quick bite after work, or maybe even during work. I wouldn’t venture out of my way to come here.
