Rockaway V I P Service

Was assigned a car with these guys on my trip from JFK to LIC on arrival & thought I would use them on my trip back to JFK on departure. I was at the pick up location just before the agreed time & called after a few minutes when no car arrived. I was told the car had been there & they called but when there was no answer, they left. I did not receive a call & the car, if it really did turn up, must have been & left early. Not impressed — now waiting for another service to take me to the airport and I will be late. Hope I don’t miss my plane.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make heads or tails of which taxi to call to take a simple trip down the street to an airport administration building so I asked the hotel to call one for me. A man with a very thick accent and wild hair pulled up in a van about 5 or 10 minutes later. He takes off without telling me how much so I sat and worried whether he took credit cards. Fortunately, he knew where to go and dropped me off in front of the building. The resultant conversation followed along these lines:
(driver) «$ 15»
(me) «Do you take credit cards?»
(driver) «$ 15»
(me) «Credit cards?» –pulls an example from wallet–
(driver) «I don’t have machine.»
(me) –looks at him–
(driver) «I no bring it with.»
At that point I reluctantly parted with some of my valuable cash for tips, vowing to get out of the van and run far far away. Never again.

Very unprofessional company and their drivers are rude and trying to rip you off .
I got picked up from Avis car rental center by them and the deal was 160 usd + toll I had my Ez pass and used it on the way but the driver wanted me to pay for his toll going back and said this is the policy I called his company and they said no it is one way then he kept on arguing with his operator and made the operator change his words and told me that he checked with his manager and they will charge me 2 way toll and that she is busy and can’t stay on the line any longer. Finally she said I can pay him 8 dollars which was the toll I passed. I gave home the money to cut it short but he refused to give me my receipt and said I have nothing for you and locked his door and ran away.
I called his company and they didn’t do anything except saying hey will file a complain.
Never use this company again and please share. those people are making loads of money and they should give better service quality

The worst service ever. Their advertistment of fast and reliable is a total lie. They say the car you ordered will be their in 10 – 15 minutes but, your wait time is 30 min to 1 hour. The drivers ID pictures located behind the driver seat never matches the driver. The drivers seem as if they are in the country illegally. This is not a business to go to.

Do not ever use this company! They are extremely rude and lied about when they sent the cab out. Meanwhile im waiting in 10 weather for 45 min! This isnt the first time and I will never spend another dime with them.

I use this service alot, they are for the most part reliable I have had a couple of instances where I was told 5 –10 minutes and it ended up being longer making me late but that’s out of lots of times !

Rockaway car service is the worst ever! Delta gave me a voucher for car service to call. I called them nine times and tNW woman who answered the phone was the nastiest person ever! Welcome to NY! You would think she would have an ounce of integrity. I called and the receptionist was so rude and nasty she made me ill and the. Put me on hold for ten minutes to then hang up. Every time I called back I was immediately put on hold the next time I was able to get through instead of 12 minutes to get a card it was 20 minutes and again she was so disgusting.
literally asking me what door and my to be at when I haven’t even been outside the airport instead of finding some creative way to make sure that I got into the car and that they would get the business. I had to call back nine times until I finally found another car company with you called skyway who was so kind and they were at the airport and they are lovely I recommend Skyway over Rockaway Car Service any day! I can’t even describe how unnecessarily nasty she was. Forget this company! They stink.

Don’t use this service unless you like overpaying… They charge an additional 10% to use a debit or credit card (on top of the exorbitant fares). The driver was ok but they are still using the old credit card slips so you might as well let them keep your card with that kind of security. In this day and age, no one carries cash, they need to get with the times.
