History

Established in 2005.

Revolution Rickshaws founder Gregg Zukowski established his pedicab practice in NYC in 2003. He found it so satisfying that he decided immediate to establish his own pedicab rental enterprise. By 2005, Revolution Rickshaws was up and rolling with 15 pedicabs and one pick-up trike from top-quality work-trike manufacturer Cycles Maximus. In 2006, Revolution began delivering cargo by freight trike in Manhattan’s Central Business District for The Cleaver Company. In 2007, City Bakery became the first to lease a freight trike from Revolution. In 2008, Revolution helped City Harvest launch a trike-based food-rescue program. Revolution has also executed many successful promotions for such enterprises as Haagen Dazs, Vita Coco, Sambazon, AOL, Blueprint Cleanse, Guayaki, and many others.

Meet the Business Owner

Gregg Z.

Business Owner

An avid cyclist since the age of 7, Gregg Zukowski finally discovered, in 2003, a way he could make a good living whilst cycling — pedaling deliriously satisfied customers about Manhattan on his pedicab. He sought to empower fellow NYC residents to do the same by establishing Revolution Rickshaws as a pedicab rental business in 2005. Since then, he’s been steadily expanding the scope of Revolution’s operations, to include cargo delivery, promotions, special event advertising, film shoot support, and more. His de facto motto is, «Anything a trike can do, RR can do!»

Beyond the trike lane, Gregg works to limit the reach of GMOs, as a member of the Park Slope Food Coop’s Non-GMO Shelf-Labeling Committee. He also frequents farmers’ markets, roots for the Red Sox and Patriots, and reads every word of every issue of Chronicles magazine.
