Worst place ever!!! service sucks, guy at booth sucks, old ass tv, 2 for no reason… Talk about nasty omg, cracks on the wall!!, soup dish broken, dirty sheet, holes in the sheets, dirty ass water with black shit floating in it!!! Writing on the walls, stuff around the sink, old furniture, lights not working dirty ceilings and carpets. The nerves to be called red carpet, brown carpet is more like it.
Honestly go up the block 17mins by the L train to America Best Value Inn it’s cheaper and wayyyyyyy much bettterrr!
Like call 311 shut this shit down!!!

This place is just awful. Booked a room for two nights at least two months ago in advanced! Arrived in Chicago at 1:30am in the morning just to be told that they cancelled my reservation and had rented the room out to someone else. And they did not give me any heads up about it. And not only did they give my room away they were rude, plain out rude to my party. This place definitely needs to go out of business and don’t ever come here.

This place is filthy, smelly, unhygenic, and NOT meant for families and decent people! I stayed there for two nights and have come away with a swollen eye caused from some allergic reaction to something in that disgusting room! As soon as I entered the room it smelled ‘smokey’. Right from the entrance of this place to the room, it was dirty. The elevator is dirty and the dingy carpets leading to the room is stained and disgusting! You’ll see pictures confirming the same.
I am sharing this review only keeping fellow-​patrons’ well being in mind. I have no reasons to make anything up and actually was hoping other reviewers had one off incidences and that I might end up having a pleasant stay. I have to say that this has been the worst hotel experience in my life, and that includes experiences in ‘developing’ countries as well! Customer service is non-​existent and the management were very indifferent and dismissive about any complaints made! PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE AND SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS any further!
Here’s a recap of what I experienced in my room for two nights: 1) the carpets were stained, smelly, and dirty, 2) the towels were orangeishly stained and had hair strands stuck to them, 3) the sheets had hair stuck to them and smaller stains, 4) I caught a BUG at the bottom of the bed, 5) the ironing board was stained and rusty, 6) the phone was not working, 7) the bathroom appeared to be a relatively cleaner part of the room, although the bowl was not fully cleaned and had poop stains stuck at the bottom! 8) the curtain in the room had a hole in it that resembled a cigarette burn, 9) the toiletteries in the bathroom were bar soap, two conditioners and a shampoo! 10) something the bathroom smelt uriney, and Im guessing it’s the shower curtain.
When I questioned the management about the stained towels and asking for fresh ones, I was given this reply, «These are freshly laundered towels. And you know the stains are nothing, maybe someone spilt wine or something»! While checking out I showed then my swollen eye and told them it’s a reaction to something in the room because I didnt get it when I was outdoors all day, they said, «You could’ve told us earlier, we would’ve given you a better room»! WTF! This infuritates me more knowing that they have ‘good’ and ‘bad’ rooms?!!
I have never had such a miserable hotel experience in my life where I was dreading going back to the room! Yes it was priced lower compared to other hotels, that doesn’t mean they can compromise on the quality and customer service! For the lower rate, I would understand if the amenities were limited but in NO WAY should the quality be affected. I urge you to NOT STAY in this hotel if you are looking for a pleasant stay. I wish I could give 0 stars but am being forced to select one!

Orange stains on the white towels smells stinky… not clean room outdated and TV I was really disappointed left the room within 5mins to get my REFUND never again will I go there what a scam !!! For the price you would think you’ll get good service and a up to date room but nope. Disappointed!!!

The bed was sunken in its middle area and I came upon a dried up bloodstain. I didn’t want to make a fuss but I was disgusted to say the least. Had me thinking I was bleeding or that my guy was bleeding. So the staff either didn’t change the sheets or the stain never came out and management is far too cheap to replace the sheets. They must think of their customers as scum beneath a shoe. How could they allow this? This hotel will definitely stick out but for all the wrong reasons. The room was located on the C level which made me feel like I was being kept in a dungeon, away from the others on the upper floors. While laying down on the sunken bed, I was able to see people walking by. The curtain needs to be adjusted because if I can see them, I know they’d be able to see me. The toilet flushed extremely weak to the point of me having to flush it more than once just to get all the tissue down. The lights bulbs above the mirror weren’t all working. The lamps on both ends tables must’ve just been there for decoration because they weren’t operable. The Tv is outdated and has under 20 channels and was acting weird when I turned it on. The programming looked as if it had a red tint to it so I had to cut it off and on again. The carpet had multiple stains on it. They would’ve been better off putting down black carpet so the stains wouldn’t be so visible. Geesh… The bathroom had a fresh roll of tissue but someone with curly hair must’ve rubbed it through their hair because I saw a long hair stand on it. Around 10 pm I heard some banging. Arrgghhh!!! At 7-​ish a. m the people occupying the room beside me started banging again. Fortunately, I was already up due to wanting to be up bright and early for the «continental breakfast». Breakfast had a selection of a variety of bagels, glazed donuts, tea, coffee and milk. The bagels had butter on them so when I microwaved them they were piping hot. Delicious too!!! Around 9:45 a. m someone from the cleaning staff knocked on the door and then when I didn’t answer they let themselves in. I wasn’t dressed, laid up in bed relaxing. I said «What the hell» as soon as the door began to open and they immediately closed it back. Before that happened they were in the hallway talking loudly. What the hell? Check out isn’t until 11 a. m so I don’t know why they were knocking. Didn’t feel like going downstairs to ask about this so I called to reception but no one answered. 3 times and no answer so had no choice but to go downstairs. Was told that they were trying to see if we had a car. Whatever happened to calling the room? Ridiculous!!! What if I didn’t have any covers on me? What if I was engaged in sexual activity? They must be used to people leaving way before checkout time. I think they were trying to see if we checked out so they can clean the room but tried to use the «car in the parking lot» as a cover up. Then again they could tell I hadn’t checked out because the key wasn’t turned in yet. Hmm… Just weird.

This place really is a crappy.
I had to work here during the day for the internet — I work from home and had some technical difficulties. The internet was fine as I asked for a room closest to the router. That is why I was nice enough for two stars.
The room was scuzzy — walls were grubby, there was weird crap on the mirror by the desk, the desk drawers were dirty, the lamp on the desk was broken. Furniture is old and chipped. The carpet was disgusting. The bathroom seemed a littler newer, but I didn’t really use it since I was here for the day only.
They charged me 120 for 10:30 am to 7:20 pm (you know a hotel is weird when you can get it by the hour) and that 120 was total rip off. I would never have done it if my job was not reimbursing me. They also made me pay in cash instead of a card because their machine was broken. How can you only take cash at a hotel? The ice machine had a big sign on it that it was broken.
I would not want to sleep in that bed. Yuck.
It is obvious they know this place is disgusting and they don’t care.

I’d rather sleep in a pit of rattlesnakes than sleep here again. What a shithole. Dirty, dirty, with some dirty on the side. Continental breakfast? Yeah, OK. Nope.

This motel should be closed down
for renovations & extermination (beware
of insects/​bugs)… It’s not only outdated
it’s very seedy to say the least… The rates
are cheap but it’s worth paying the extra money
for a more comfortable, cleaner, modern room else
where…The 1 star rating is for the convenience of the subway!!!

If I could I would give this hotel zero stars. The Elevator always had left over housekeeping supplies left behind, there was padding inside that reeked of pot and cigarettes, and the in room refrigerator had a horrible smell in it to boot. As others have said the only positive was the close proximity to the L train. However for the price just spend a few extra bucks and go somewhere nicer.

I am not a picky person. at least I think not… but I was honestly leaning towards sleeping in my rental car over staying here. I’m sorry, this is THE grossest place I have ever stayed and I have been some places here and abroad. I won’t go into the seriously awful details.
Please save some extra $ ahead of time and resort to staying at a more expensive place. Not worth the savings at all.

NOT THAT BAD! …not that great either, but it was cheap and convenient. You get what you pay for– it’s an older hotel. Rooms are small and the mattress is hard, but the bathrooms looked remodeled and were clean. And they have HBO! Always a plus. Right across from the Halsey L Train stop.

This hotel is price gouging ppl after Hurricane Sandy. Please boycott.

I considering myself the Queen of bargains – I value an affordable price, which in NYC is hard to find. That said, pay $ 50 extra and stay at a better hotel, this place is a dump.
I really wouldn’t recommend the Red Carpet Inn to anyone. It was definitely convenient, but Brooklyn is Brooklyn, and always a little sketch. There were cigarette burns in the comforter, the mattress was wrapped in plastic, and the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to sleep on. I probably would’ve been better off on the floor.
Plus, when my boyfriend and I checked in, they told us that they didn’t have any records of us booking a room. It took a while to get the whole thing figured out – fortunately we had brought a receipt, otherwise I don’t know what we would’ve done.
Stay far away from the Red Carpet Inn, it’s jut not worth the money you save.

Cheapest shit I could find in Brooklyn. It was iight, nothing special just a place to rest your dome.

What was NOT great were the a**holes that run the place. We were on the 1^st floor and could hear them yelling at each other all night.
But, get this, we had a friend stop by at about 2am.
The front desk calls me.
a-hole:“do you have a visitor?“
me: «yes»
a-​hole: «It’s TOO late»
me: thinking are you fuc*ing kidding me? Who are you my mother?
«he’ll only be here for an hour or so»
a-hole:“NO, ½ an hour“

where should i start… so we booked this place through travelocity. it didnt have great reviews or really bad ones. so we booked it. we stayed dec 26– jan 1. i think that we paid maybe like 350 or 400. so we get there right and the guy at the desk tells us that we need to pay and extra 50 $ because… its the holidays. my bf said no to that. because we had already paid in full and we booked it through travelocity. but he said that he had to so my bf then told him that he would pay it but he would pay it to travelocity not him. the guy said that he would then call travelocity my bf told him to call then. the guy then told us that they might cancel our reservation and we said ok. turns out that the a**hole never did call. i guess that he was a pussy after all.
ok so our room was in the basement floor. it was really small and cramped. the subway is right next to this hotel so we could hear the screech of the brakes because we were in the basement. the room did have a heater and AC. it did work. so as we looked out of our window we could see the front fender of cars parked right outside. our bed was made everyday by the service. also about for the last three or two nights that we stayed we could hear people having sex (loud and clear). sometimes it came from the left and later on it came from the right. i guess that it was a domino effect. idk! but i didnt like it at all. i had to put up the volume on the TV. and mind you that is like 3am because since we are from LA we were not used to the time change. so we feel asleep at about 4am or 5am and got up like at 3pm.
also the elevator was crummy looking.
the one thing about this hotel was the price and the location (close to the subway) other than that it sucks!

I have been in many hotels in this country but this one was the worst. In every way.
This hotel is close to the subway that takes you to Times Square and etc and it’s cheap, but when you are on vacation or traveling you want to enjoy yourself, right?? So, beware of this hotel!!!
The area is trashy and for two nights we saw people outside talking. My boyfriend told me that they were probably doing drugs.
I stayed in the room 125 and the heater/​air conditioner smelled. It was really gross to leave that thing on.
The fire detector thing was broken and it was leaking from it!!! We told them and they said they would fix it. When we came back, they just took it off and put the trash can under it so then the carpet wouldn’t get wet! Can you believe that?
Also, I have a feeling that the lazy housekeeper NEVER change our towels or the sheets! I found a cigarette burn in one of them, asked them to change, and the lazy housekeeper spoke to them in her language. They told me that they changed it and it was the same one.
The breakfast SUCKS! The bagels were disgusting and I don’t think the internet worked there, because I saw people sitting down on the stairs twice with their notebooks.
Please don’t stay there. I know it’s cheap, I know it’s not too far from the «good area» but I think is really wrong what those people do to their guests.
