Never use rapid reality. Brokers in New York are all ready cut throat wolves and rapid employs those brokers who will eat your firstborn.
They kept my deposit over three days after I requested it back– which I left after they made me believe I had the place. After ONE WEEK rapid gave me my deposit back, and the check bounced ! It took them another week to replace the bounced check. And after that they still charged me the $ 50 credit check fee. The whole process was unprofessional and the broker had an attitude, was rude and then treated me like I was in the wrong. Never trust these people

I found an apartment on Hotpads that led me to Lionel. Though the one I was interested in wasn’t available anymore, I told him my budget and he took me to something near by. It was the tiniest bit out of my price range but I couldnt pass up the location, size and condition of the apartment. It was an amazing deal– rent controlled, a great landlord and close to the subway.
The whole process was really easy and Lionel was very good at explaining everything to me so I wouldn’t be confused about anything whatsoever.

Nicholas Stitelman is a complete gem in the NYC world of realty. He was overly helpful and went above and beyond to work with my future roommate and myself. I would say that we were difficult to please at the least and he was great! You can tell that he really cared and wanted us to find a safe, and comfortable home. If I was Rapid Realty, I would try as hard as possible to hold onto him.

The search for an apartment in New York is long, difficult, and pride-​shattering.
Thankfully, my roommate and I successfully gained a gorgeous apartment with the help of Teresa Osorio. The other half of her tag-​team duo is David Lovelace, who was also an asset in the looking process. When we first started the hunt, we had more roommates in mind and a less-​than-​stellar overall situation on paper. However, they didn’t snub or stop contacting us like many many a realty before. They could tell that we were responsible and able to collectively create an impressive package to woo a potential landlord. Clark LeMelle, our deal processor, also helped us feel safe and secure while dealing with our money and information.
Even though the roommate count went down and many changes were made to our wants/​needs, they still stuck with us and stayed cooperative. Searching for apartments in New York involves a lot of dabbling into different realties. We quickly noticed that unlike many brokers, Teresa and David actually showed us NICE apartments within our price range. This, among other things, made us keep Rapid Realty at the forefront for finding our new home.
Both Teresa and David were very personable and always willing to help. They were also available to meet at night, the most common time for us.
A cool thing about Rapid Realty is that once you find a place that you fall in love with, you can instantly take it off the market after paying a deposit. At first, it was scary – the thought of dropping money on a first impression. Yet, we learned (the hard way, at first) that if you really love a place, someone else (with the funds) will, too. You put the deposit down and if you’re rejected, you’ll get it back. This may seem strange at first, but I’ve had friends who’ve been put in queues of nearly a hundred people going for the same apartment. That’s way too stressful. So, have that money saved up and ready while looking with a Rapid Realty agent!
