Dr Valderrama was great! I had patches of numbness in different locations of my body. Dr V made an excellent assessment of my symptoms on my first visit. I was so worried the burning/numbness feeling would reveal something really serious. Instead dr V was very astute to ask me about my vitamin intake. He told me taking too much of certain B vitamins could give me these symptoms. Sure enough I adjusted my intake and my symptoms immediately vanished! I am thrilled! He still recommended a long list of blood work and an MRI which are all pending. I hope those are all negative of course but the fact that my numbness is completely gone with this change in my vitamin intake is so reassuring. I am thrilled and my anxiety has been completely allayed. I am sure my state of mind helps me heal too. Dr Valderrama was very thorough and reassuring. The staff was very pleasant and the office is very clean. It may not be the ultimate modern office but it’s clean and that’s what counts. I can’t believe the first reviewer giving a low score just because she did not feel welcomed enough by his staff. What counts is that the doctor is competent and that you are getting the treatment you need on your way to wellness. In addition I learned that Dr V graduated from Columbia Presbyterian Medical School which is a highly rated distinguished medical school.

Pro: The doctor himself is very nice. Takes his time. Seems to really listen. I totally like his bedside manner and I think he provided good advice. I think he knows his stuff. Cons: Everything else was very poor. The waiting room is crammed, run down and packed with patients. The office staff is rude and evades your question when you ask how long the wait time will be. I had to wait 90 minutes. If you only speak Spanish, maybe this doctor is the best you can find but if you speak English, you have choices and there are doctors out there who respect your time too. I hate to give a negative review because he seems like a good doctor but I just don’t think it’s fair to make anyone wait 60 – 90 minutes so I don’t think I’ll be going back.
