My fiancé went to R&R when he proposed at Christmas 2015. He went there because his sister and brother in law had their engagement and wedding bands done there.
While I loved my engagement ring, I wanted to incorporate some diamonds from my mother and grandmother into the band. We went to R&R to see what they could do.
In the end the diamonds didn’t work out for my engagement ring, but we will be using them in our wedding bands.
We also had one of my moms diamonds made into a pendant, and it turned or stunning.
They are super helpful, reasonably priced, and work efficiently.
Overall very happy, I keep getting compliments on my ring!

I spent a day walking up and down 47^th street interviewing jewelers. Honestly until I walked into R and R (based upon amazing Unilocal reviews no-​less) I felt like a fish out of water and I felt like I was going to be had. But that all changed when I entered R and R. Lisa greeted me warmly and began working with me. She saw how overwhelmed I was and helped me start the process and then she handed me off to Rami who worked with me to make me feel at ease designing and purchasing a beautiful fancy yellow diamond engagement ring. I never felt rushed or made to feel stupid as I asked my silly questions. Rami even gave me his personal cell number and texted me updates and. Photos as the ring was being made. It was a very comfortable buying experience. I feel like the price was extremely competitive and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

This family owned business all contributed their time and efforts in finding the perfect engagement ring for me. There are many, many choices of settings and diamond selections for all budgets! Patience is a virtue and I have a gorgeous ring I will always treasure. All work is done «in house» which is an added plus! It was quite a memorable experience and I would certainly recommend this family and their jewelry store!

I don’t think words could express how great of an experience I had at R&R! I was in a bit of a unique situation — my best friend lives overseas and her boyfriend (now fiancé!) asked for my help with picking out her ring. He had the family heirloom diamond, but needed a setting. I worked mainly with David, who was a tremendous help. What could have been an otherwise very complicated situation turned out to be a seamless process. David helped us in any way that he could, even figuring out the best way to ship the rings back and forth between NY and Sweden! He was amazing. I would recommend R&R to anyone beyond a doubt, and I am looking forward to working on future projects with David!

R&R Jewelers were amazing helping me find my perfect wedding band. David emailed with me for weeks, sent me pictures, found out information from manufacturers. I pestered him a lot be he never seemed annoyed and was always helpful! When I finally made the trip to NY everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Really I just enjoyed them as people. They helped me perfect specifications for my ring and I ended up getting something a little different than I intended but am so happy I did, they were right about everything! The whole experience was wonderful and I will definitely head back there for any other major jewelry purchases, even though I now live across the country.

I bought my fiancée’s engagement diamonds/​ring here, and I can only say great things about Rami, his family, and R&R as a whole. As a very deliberate customer, Rami listened to my needs and worked hard to find the right stone. I probably visited the store half a dozen times before settling on a diamond. Unlike the other pushy and overzealous retailers on the block, Rami is upfront, honest, and does not exert unnecessary pressure on his customers. I highly recommend R&R.

First off, if you’re reading this you’re probably considering a pretty substantial financial purchase, I don’t know what to say other than you are doing both yourself and the person who is getting the gift (assuming it’s not you) a great service by coming here.
In no way am I making the following comment to show off, and that’s pretty obvious for two reasons — 1) my profile is fairly anonymous and 2) I’ve seen people spend a lot more on rings. But the clearest way I explain the experience at R&R is that I spent over $ 35k and I didn’t walk out feeling ripped off. Does that make sense? I was completely at ease with the purchase, and I had no concerns about them not doing the right thing. Folks, to me $ 35k is a nice used Mustang Shelby GT convertible, that’s what I could have seen spending that much on. Never did I envision spending this amount, but once I saw the ring I knew it was the one — same as when I saw my wife.
Rami and the entire staff are amazing. A top notch professional, no rush experience. They answered every question I had, and I was quite the PITA. I read in the one of the reviews that they don’t upsell, which is accurate, however I’ll take it a step further and tell you that they downsold me. We subsequently came her after the engagement ring to get her wedding band. I liked something that was $ 1,500 more than what we ended up with. The woman behind the counter explained that although what I wanted was bigger, it did not match the engagement ring. The one she preferred, and we did once we looked at it further, matched the engagement ring perfectly. We could not be any happier about the rings. They could have sold us the more expensive ring, but they steered us in another direction — who does that? Especially in the diamond district where people yell at you to come into their store.
I feel like I’ve still failed in providing a positive review because they were just that good. For what it’s worth, you may not agree with all my reviews, but I like to believe I call them how I see them. You will be thrilled if you come here. I visited R&R twice before making purchase, because this is one of the most important things a guys gotta do in his lifetime. I went to at least 4 other stores in the diamond district as well as a close friends recommended jeweler and still ended up coming back here because of the personal service and the gorgeous diamonds and settings they offer.
To the point, i was downright blown away that i got exactly what i wanted and more for what i think was a great value. Thanks again Lisa, we’ll be back for our wedding bands before you know it!

My fiancé and I recently had her engagement ring custom made by Rami (who we worked closely with) and his brother Robert. Unlike many of the other jewelry stores we’d visited, they were courteous, attentive, did not try to upsell us, and their prices were more than fair — generous, even — for the quality, service, and speed that they delivered!
We described the style of ring that we’d been looking for and not finding elsewhere (a clean and simple solitaire ring with no side stones or stones on the band, a thin, rounded, non-​tapering platinum band, a very low setting, and 4 prongs to hold in the family heirloom diamond we brought with us to the store), and in less than 10 minutes we had a design on paper, finger size fitting down to the ¼ of a measurement, a deposit paid, and it was off for fabrication! Within just a few business days, the diamond was set, the ring was polished, and I had the ring in my hand in a handsome box, with an appraisal certificate.
The ring is EXACTLY what my fiancé wanted, and we will most definitely be back for our wedding bands and other future jewelry purchases! Thanks again, Rami!

We had been shopping online for an engagement ring with a citrine center stone but were terrified of getting a poor quality ring that looked cheap and costume-​y.
I did a google search for a local jeweler who worked with citrine and found R&R. Their website is great and I noted a few settings that I liked and called to let them know that I wanted to see the options with citrine stones. A few hours later I met David who had 6 (!!!) stone options for me of varying colors. After deciding on the color (a beautiful warm brown) I narrowed my choices down to either round or cushion and then chose a halo setting with David’s kind guidance. VOILA, my gorgeous engagement ring was born!
My fiancè and I came back the following day and also chose bands with David while we chatted with Rami and Lisa who are also incredibly helpful and friendly.
Seriously, don’t walk up and down 47^th looking for a jeweler. You will not find anyone friendlier, more helpful, and reasonable then the folks at R&R.

went to R&R jewelers after visiting over 20 other stores in the diamond district to pick out a stone and a setting for my proposal. David and the gang really helped to find what exactly I was looking for and catered to all my wants/​needs. Prices were on point and very competitive with other shops. Inventory was huge. It was a pleasurable experience to be able to speak to professional staff that were knowledgable and actually cared about the customer. After all their help, we finally found the perfect stone and setting and they put it together for me on sight. My fiancé loved the ring and we will be back soon for wedding bands! Love this place and the staff is everything you can hope for in making your special moment perfect!

This was not the first jewelry store my fiancée and I visited. But it was def where we decided to get the engagement ring. Other stores on 47^th street either treat the process classlessly, or else they swing in the other direction and behave as tho ur doing THEM a favor by offering ur money.
R and R had a great attitude toward my ring idea. And they gave me their own suggestions, which was helpful, bec I’m not good at this kind of thing. Their price was more than fair.
They did try to increase their sale, and get us to buy more (diamonds, platinum, thicker band). But I guess all the stores do that? They were very kind. The finished product is gorgeous.

I highly recommend R&R. So friendly and professional. This place is the best in the district; they really know their stuff. My sister got her engagement ring here and suggested my now fiancé and I do the same. We looked at a few others on the block, R&R by far had the best selection of inventory, quality (even the less expensive stones were all cut brilliantly, and beautiful!), which means they had stones to show for every budget. Raymi (the other jeweler is his brother, Robert) sold us out diamond and spent a great deal of time with us, coaching us through trends, stats… I am very Type A, and he answered all of my questions, and assuaged my concerns. He gave good advice on all the four Cs to help guide us in the right direction; after all this is a huge decision so more information is better! We were comfortable on all fronts and felt we were getting a fair value. The turnaround for our ring was a little over 2 weeks.
The result? Phenomenal! I love, love my ring– it’s unique and exactly what I’d envisioned and the craftsmanship is great. If you’re looking for THE ring, you won’t go wrong here– they specialize in engagement rings, and apparently watches too. Plus, they have Sat hours! I’d recommend making an appointment via email but you can walk in also.

An absolutely FANTASTIC jewelry store that played no games, that was extremely fair, and delivered 5-​star customer service.
My fiancée and I were in New York to purchase wedding bands from the Diamond District. We checked out some of the reputable stores (check the Diamond District website to see the list of approved dealers) and got some great offers. However, upon stepping into R&R, we were treated well right away by David and his family. He took time to carefully help us through the process (we’re newbies in the jewelry game) and ended up giving us a great deal on his & her bands. More importantly, David was sure to explain the color/​clarity of the diamonds and allowed us to look closely at the diamonds (some shops are hesitant to do so.) The store sources high-​quality diamonds that I felt comfortable paying for. On top of that, they shipped it out overnight to us as soon as the bands were properly sized.
I believe that the jewelry industry is one where customer service is more important than the goods themselves. R&R really made use comfortable and at-​ease during this whole process. We’ll be sure to continue using them going forward!

My fiancé and I visited the Diamond District to purchase wedding bands not really knowing what to expect. The first few shops we stopped by quoted reasonable prices, but since they work with factories in China, we would’ve had to put in a rush order (we needed them in 3 months) — also the quality seemed a little suspect.
We eventually made our way to R&R where we were met with great customer service, and given a turnaround time of 1 week. All of their jewelry is made in-​house so you can actually trust what you are purchasing, not to mention their craftsmanship is outstanding.
We had not initially planned on purchasing our wedding bands that day but Rami and Rachel were great to work with and very fair in pricing. We felt in no way pressured or uncomfortable during the whole process. We received our rings a week later and we want to get married today just so we can wear them. :)
If you looking for a jeweler in the Diamond District, don’t waste your time at the other shops. R&R will take care of you!

My fiancé bought my engagement ring here a few months ago and had amazing things to say about Rami. We went back to purchase our wedding bands. It was the best experience. Everyone was so nice, and very helpful. I love my rings and will go back here for all of my jewelry.

Robert and his staff worked with my family and I to create the perfect engagement ring, and as I’m seeing for other reviews as well, the price was tremendously fair and well below what other jewelry stores would have sold it for. If you go to R&R, you will get expert advice in a family type setting with amazing selection and obviously incredibly fair pricing. After what they were able to do for us, I honestly couldn’t recommend them more.
The ring BTW was a huge hit with my fiancé who loves it. Not a surprise at all.
