The Cocopot was gross, it was a non dairy yogurt. Thought id give it a try but it was like eating crème cheese. The manager was nice enough to give me an exchange. Customer service wasnt terrible :)

I typically like the Pret. This is the one closest to my apartment on 55th and 8th. They changed :( Why is the Pret serving Coke? I don’t care if Warren Buffet says that Coke makes him happy. Doesn’t he know sugar causes diabetes, heart disease and cancer… Related to my Coke comment on sugar. Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffet and Charles Munger talk about the sugary drink and misguided notions on health.(Search Yahoo-BerkshireHathaway mtg) Just google«Is Sugar Toxic?»(nytimes), by UCSF researcher, or just google his work, Dr. Robert Lustig. Oh well, great music here :)

Like their chicken avocado salad. Very simple and healthy! I usually don’t eat too many pastries(because I love them too much and I was worried that I can’t control myself. ;)). And I decided to get one of their croissants because they looked so delicious. I am not disappointed! Although, I wish I knew how to eat a croissant properly so I wouldn’t get crumbs everywhere on my table and bag…

Some of the most unprofessional group of people I’ve ever seen! They stand around and carry convos with each other as customers wait to be waited on and then look annoyed when asked for help by said customers. Save yourself the trouble and go down the block to Starbucks or the other hundred coffee shops in NYC.

Stopped by this location while walking across the city. We had the chocolate chip cookie and a hot chocolate. The cookie was really good and I was happy with the purchase. The hot chocolate, not so much. At most it could have been classified as lukewarm chocolate. The service was average and the area where you put sugar and cream in your coffee was a bit disarrayed. I am sure that there are better locations of this business as I saw multiple scattered throughout the city. As for this one it is slightly above average.

I always forget to grab a spoon, I wish they were more like Starbucks sometimes and gave you one. Also barely filled my Americano. All tastes fine but not one of better Pret’s I’ve been to…

This is a tiny little Pret with very limited seating. I was working nearby and came here pretty consistently for a month. You likely will have to get takeaway if you come during the weekday lunchtime rush I’ve been to better Pret’s as far as Freshness, but during the weekday the food seems to be better than the weekend. I had a few Saturday lunchtime orders of the Avocado Veggie wrap that definitely tasted like they had been made the day before. Sadly, on one occasion there was a hair inside one of my wrap’s, which turned me off«fast food» for 48 hours or so, until I realized oh well it can happen anywhere I guess. The iced tea is consistently fresh, and the OJ Pret sells for a pretty penny is top of the line delicious!

Sunday mornings at this Pret are my fav! The service is one of the best with Rosa and Lee!!! They not only greet us with the biggest smile, but they make us feel so at home.

Great coffee! Greek wrap was okay, but just not my taste, I think. Your taste may vary. Seating is very limited, but enough when I was there. Counter help was quick and friendly. No real complaints.

We were nearby trying to win tickets at the Book of Mormon lottery, so we headed over to Pret A Manger to grab something cold to drink. They were out of green tea, which I thought was pretty weird for a coffeeshop, and I was kind of upset about it. I was probably overreacting and was really just hangry. Anyway, I ordered the raspberry black tea. It did the trick and as we were leaving, the guy behind the counter asked me how it was to make sure I liked what I ordered. That was really nice of him! There is a pretty small seating area towards the back of the restaurant, and they have a restroom in that area too.

Went for lunch and employees were nice and helpful. It might appear there are only 3 or 4 seats to the left of entrance, but there are few more hidden in the back if keep going. It looks like a decent spot for secret meeting! Food is standard-pret-a-manger; I sort of know what to expect as I go in. Nevertheless, a decent place for quick lunch.

I have been a fan of Pret for many years and enjoy their tag line: «The best British Invasion since the Beatles». I appreciate the freshness of the food and the cleanliness of their locations. I am particularly impressed with the staff of 8258th Ave. – near Worldwide Plaza. Opening the store is often Sedrick at like 5:30am or earlier. Every morning he greets me with a smile and the display of freshly baked croissants and muffins look as good as they smell. In addition, I truly appreciate the genuine kindness and enthusiasm as well as patience and professionalism exemplified in Stephanie and Lee. I am rooting for a Pret closer to my office – Columbus Circle. Maybe some of my favorite Pret folks will come north a bit Seriously, THANKYOU to all the Pret employees and congrats to the manager for a great job in your hiring great people.

I guess it’s pretty ridiculous reviewing a chain, but for others to know, this seems to be one of the worst Pret’s around. It’s close to my office so I used to go there regularly, but no more. For starters the food is inconsistent. Oatmeal that has the consistency of soup. Serving sizes that are different every time. Sand in salads. Regularly running out of coffee and milk during the morning rush. Perhaps most annoying of all is that the staff seems more interested in entertaining or commenting on your food purchases than just ringing you up so you can get the hell out. Also, I don’t appreciate being asked«Is that it?» every time I buy something. I don’t need to be questioned on the amount of money I spend or how much I buy. Simply rude.

Loved the food! I got take out and loved the meatball hot sandwich and especially the fudge brownie bar. This was my first time eating it!

Good location and food but the service… OMG… Young flogs who keep on chatting behind their counters… I came with three sandwiches and it took this guy CHRIS about 5 minutes to acknowledge me and another 5 to process my order… Scan 3 items… What a looser. Anyway, still enjoying NY but don’t bother making a stop here, there is tons of other great locations around.

I love Pret, but this location has some drawbacks. The seating is *very* limited: a 2-top near the door, a couple seats along the wall, and a few tiny tables around the back. Come here only if you’re willing to take out. The lone staffer was almost completely unresponsive on a recent weekend. I guess I’d gotten used to Pret’s friendly service, but this place is the exception.

Pret! Ok so apparently they donate their food left over to the needy at the end of each day. I’m down for that. The website says they have a policy of compensating their employees fairly. And…I could be exaggerating but maybe everything is organic? Maybe. Anywho if all the above is true AND they keep making those bomb chocolate croissants then by all means Pret… I’m down. Cool beans. Also had a vanilla latte. It was decent. Check em out and if anything, give them a chance for their practices. Oh, and I found Pret’s to have some of the«bigger» spaces in NY, most places are hallway sized, Pret’s are usually walk in closet sized, either way, you’re always more than blessed to find a place to sit in most establishments. Also their framed pics are always super fun.

Food is mediocre, but their policy is «freshness» and«no preservatives» so its a plus in my books. In addition, the atmosphere is very chill and that’s usually all that matters for a local coffee shop kind of thing right? The staff here are also pretty friendly so it definitely won’t stress you out if you’re looking to work on a project, study, or whatever here. Tip: I love just chilling at this place with a book or my laptop while enjoying lunch. The wifi is super speedy here too although its public wifi! Remember to get a receipt though since the password for the wifi is on the receipt!

Pret stores are like the Starbucks of sandwiches, they are all over NYC. The nice thing about this Pret is the seating in the back room, about 4 tables, tight spacing ‘tho. We had 2 fruit mixtures: Pineapple and Lime Pot ad Tropical Melon pot, both $ 3.59. Both were good but it’s hard to go wrong with chopped fruit. The lady at the counter gave me a 1 – 2 inch sample of their espresso(she started pouring it for a regular but he told her he gave up coffee”. At least she didn’t waste it. I gave it to Hubby and even the coffee addict said it was pretty strong. The place looks pretty clean. Bathroom was large but only 1 unisex stall.

I only have the balsamic chicken sandwiches here — pretty straight forward, you can’t really mess it up. I’ve also had the harvest cookie, mine were not overcooked. I came here last week and I was wearing the color of the day — I’m not sure if that’s a new promotion. Anyway I won a free cookie. I come here because it’s right next to my building and if I’m short on time or too lazy to walk far, I’ll grab something from here.
