Precision

I’m not convinced that Precision sells that many upscale clothes anymore and I wouldn’t be shocked if I found some of the items at lower-​end places. However, their sales are great – I got a $ 78 dress for $ 23 a few weeks ago.

Cheap quality clothes for expensive prices.
The review below is very accurate. The sales people in the store will do anything to make a sale. They tell you everything you want to hear. They pick out a pile of clothes for you. Most of the clothes are no brand and made out of acrylic or rayon. For cheap quality, but stylish clothes, I’d recommend Forever 21. Your wallet will thank you!
The salespeople are really skilled. They tell you the item your holding is a most popular seller and the one your holding is one of the last ones!
I made a purchase here a few months ago and really regret it. I feel like I got taken advantage of and ripped off. I am not use to such a aggressive salespeople.
I changed my mind about an item and it was only a 7 day return policy and store credit only. To make matters worse the store credit expires within 90 days and once used the item purchased is final sale. I do not know about you, but I rather go to Nordstrom’s and at least have much more flexibility with returns.

Cute stuff, but the sales staff is all about the HARD sell. Which would be fine, if you could return things that you were talked into buying. But you can’t. You have a week to return for store credit, then after that you are SOL. They have some really cute stuff and the staff is actually really good a putting you in stuff that you wouldn’t have tried before but that looks great on you. However, they tell you that EVERYTHING looks great on you and then start playing the «are you going to get it» game. Since I’m easily swayed by compliments («really, I look skinny in this, I’ll take it in every color»), I would end up buying things that I would instantly regret. Since I have no will power, I just stopped coming in for a while. Le sigh.
There was a really cute dress in the window this weekend, so I broke my self imposed moratorium and went back in. There were a couple of interesting changes: (1) no more shoe section, just a few shoe choices now; (2) no more theory or other really expensive lines (the economy hits us hard); (3) the former shoe section is now the cheap clothes/​sample sale section (I’m not sure that this is about, the clothes are never well made, usually are made out of polyester and they never have any sizes); (4) the sales people are just the same (I was greeted with — «hey, long time no see, you have to come in more so I can keep my job.» Ummm, okay). So I bought the really cute dress, resisted buying another cute dress and the super cool belt that they put with the dress I ended up buying.
I probably won’t come back as a regular, my wallet can’t really handle it. But it was a fun trip down memory lane and I now have a super cute spring dress (if spring ever arrives).

I’m only giving this store 2 stars because in fact they do have nice a selection of stuff, however… on two different occasions the sales people were just plain rude. I should have learned my lesson the first time when I came in and no one bothered to even ask me if in needed help. I did end up needing to return what i purchased and then learned when i came back that no refunds are given, store credit only! Who still does that!!! so I came in, again, and browsed, I choose some items, and had a them put in a dressing room. Not even ten minutes later I go to that dressing room and my items were gone… and why becuase they decided to give them to another customer. Thanks, thanks a lot. When i asked them about it, they simply looked at me and sorry! No I’m sorry for coming into this store now on two occasions and having to be treated like a second class client. Not too mention that the sweater I was returning I then found online on Bluefly for half the price!!!

I give this place 3.5 stars. On my way home I stopped in here. I agree with all of Miss Maria’s comments. I scored with two pairs of shoes on sale — each $ 30. I don’t see how the original prices were $ 120 and another $ 82. I’ve never heard of these brands, but for $ 30 flats, I didn’t resist. The sales person was helpful and she actually brought all shoes in my size that were on sale. Now that’s a great sales person. I was only going to get one pair of shoes, but walked out with two pairs. I browsed the clothing selection, but didn’t find any good sales. All full priced items are quite $$$.

I LOVE Precision. The selection is pretty fantastic. Just don’t go there if you are close to broke. You will just frustrate yourself! Things here are quite expensive, but on par for the designers offered: Nanette Lepore, Theory, Juicy, Rebecca Beeson, etc. (not full lines, but selections from each). Most everything is so pretty, but what is on sale, well, you can tell why they had to put it on sale. A few times, I’ve found some cool things, like a green Juicy long-​sleeve tee that I loved but wore so much it developed holes in it. Note to self: stop being so lazy and hand-​wash things that are supposed to be hand-​washed.
I was happy to see that they added a shoe section. Much needed. Only they charge a lot of money for supposedly «upscale» brands that I’ve never even heard of. I bought a pair of shoes suspiciously on sale from $ 120 to $ 50. I say «suspiciously» because designer shoes don’t ever go on that kind of sale. They were supposedly good quality leather, but cut up my feet so badly, I think they were something else. Maybe they included some leather amongst the plastic. However, Precision also carries really great lines like Faryl Robin. So it’s just hit-​or-​miss. In my case, I should have used better judgment, and no, doing three to four laps around the store in them does not even begin to reflect how they will perform on the street.
A big gripe: the only Hanky Panky underbeneaths they carry are the low-​rise ones. I suppose they are suited well for some very thin women, and that’s fine. But I would have appreciated having the option.
