We decided that there had to be a more convenient and affordable way to get Urgent Care and see excellent doctors than wait a week for a doctor appointment and then wait 30min plus in the doctor’s waiting room, or wait hours in the urgent care, pay way too much for the urgent care visit and not know how well trained the urgent care doctor or pediatrician will be. That’s when we created Plush Care. Plush Care is like having the best internal medicine doctors, pediatricians and family doctors in your family — you can call or have a video visit to diagnose and treat the majority of your health care issues that same-​day. And the doctors or pediatricians can diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for the urgent care visit or general doctor consultation from wherever you want. It’s the future for urgent care visits and seeing a doctor.

Manager

James Wantuck, MD attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Stanford University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. Dr. Wantuck is passionate about using technology to improve healthcare delivery and quality, including the patient doctor relationship. In addition to seeing patients for general physician consultations or urgent care visits, Dr. Wantuck is responsible for recruiting the best trained doctors to PlushCare, which to date have all trained at either Stanford or UCSF in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics.

Amazing service all the way around! I was in need of medical care while camping and my primary care physician would not treat me for at UTI without an office visit (not possible while camping). Finding PlushCare was a blessing; talked to a doctor right away, picked up prescription the next day at the nearest pharmacy (nearly an hour away) and was on the road to recovery so I could enjoy my trip. Well worth the money!

We were on the second to the last day of our vacation when my daughter came down with pink eye. I thought we would have to spend a few hours at an urgent care place and then I found Plushcare! I read the Unilocal reviews and then signed up for an appointment. I also had to call to give additional information and the person was very helpful. The dr called right at the time of appointment. I had sent a picture of her eye prior to the call. He asked many questions, told us what to do, answered all my questions and then sent in the prescription. You also get a free 30 day follow up for the same problem if you need it. I only wish we had one in Maryland. So, I only spent the time on phone and driving to get prescription rather than waiting in an office. I highly recommend them.

This web site is top notch in my book. It is so hard for me to get into my doctor during my work week and weekends. Its awesome knowing i can book an appointment for a simple illness any time I need to. I had an bladder infection over the weekend. I book my appointment with the help of customer service and the doctor called right on time. She was very nice easy to understand and I felt she really cared. I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Allen Tong and he was the best. After some brief questions of my health history, he was able to review my pictures of my foot that I sent to him. He was able to diagnose over the phone and gave me instructions on medication and follow up blood work.
He answered all my questions and he was very knowledgeable. This visit literally saved me hours of waiting at my local urgent care. Plus it was raining that morning and I had limited mobility due to my foot issue so I was very thankful for Dr. Tong. Will definitely use Plushcare again for any urgent care issues.
Also very nice a free follow up visit within 30 days is an option in case anything else comes up that I forgot to ask.

PlushCare is MUCH BETTER than it usually gets! Making an appointment with a doctor was easy. Doctor Rudy called right on time. We had more conversation and more patient-​centered conversation than I have ever had with my «primary care» physician. Antibiotics were prescribed and after a brief slowdown at the local pharmacy, I was taking my first pill. Wonderful! If you are lucky enough to be in one of the current PlushCare states, do not drag yourself to urgent care or to an emergency room where other patients can make you sicker, call PlushCare. What a great service. I had a sinus infection and was in the mountains skiing, far from my doctor. I signed up for an online appt. with Plush care and in 30 minutes I was speaking with a doctor who was able to diagnose my issue and get me a prescription to the local pharmacy. It was quick, inexpensive and effective. I’ll use it again.

I was so sick that I couldn’t get to Urgent Care & I was getting sicker by the moment. I’ve been hospitalized w. Sepsis before & knew I could be at risk for this deadly infection if I didn’t get on antibiotics STAT!
The PlushCare doctor, Dr. Jamie N. (I can’t access the spelling of her last name), got right down to business. She telephoned me before my scheduled appointment time. She explained why the antibiotic I keep on hand for these type infections to which I am susceptible would not address the infection I now had. She ‘phoned in the prescription & followed up diligently!
Because I couldn’t get the meds delivered until the next day I decided to take two of the other antibiotics & felt slight, but almost immediate relief. Once I received & began taking my prescription, I recovered quite nicely, thank you very much, Dr. Jamie & PlushCare!
There was a problem w. the computer registration system & I gave a detailed description of the issues & was assured they’d be addressed.
$ 100.00 was a small price to pay to have my medical issue addressed promptly & correctly & to be returned to an infection– free status without the danger of getting so sick that I’d have to use an ambulance to get treated for an ongoing health issue that had gotten out of hand.

This was a great experience! I was looking for a Urgent Care near me, found PlushCare Urgent. Called, made an appointment. I was called early than the appointed time! This never happens in Doc office. I spoke with Dr. Wantuck. He was very informative about my symptoms. A very professional manner. I was given a discount on my prescription, which made it half price an a free follow up for the same reason! Picked up my prescription soon after the doctor called it in. This is not something you receive in a traditional Doctor’s office. I will continue to use PlushCare and refer everyone I know.

I was searching online for a urgent care. I found PlushCare and was a bit skeptical. After a little research I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment at 4:30pm for 5:30pm for a phone consultation. I was called on the dot at 5:30pm. I spoke with Dr. Allan Marks. He went over in detail with me my symptoms and my medical history and diagnosed me. He called in a script right there and even went to the effort of finding a 24 hours pharmacy so I could pick up the RX right away. He e-​mailed me a discount coupon for my RX and I got my meds for $ 15. Best experience I have ever had dealing with an MD. I highly recommend this service. This service is what I am going to be using from now on.

This last weekend I was in New York for a close friends wedding and it was my first time to the city. On my fourth day there, my ear started to hurt, two days more and I couldn’t handle it anymore. After searching urgent care on Unilocal I found PlushCare, their system seemed easy enough. I was able to make an appointment on my phone and get my prescription to cvs in about an hour. This review is long over due but I was visiting my sister in New York when I got sick on my second day there. I wasn’t sure what to do since I was traveling and it was the weekend. I was looking to go into the local urgent care recommended by her, but when I was searching for it, I found PlushCare. I was a skeptical at first but I made an appointment anyways since I didn’t want to have to sit and wait to be seen. I talked to the doctor and got a Rx fast. Hello 2015! The telemedicine concept is absolutely perfect for the busy New Yorker and the experience PlushCare delivered in my first trial beat all expectations.
In my mind, my previous options for dealing with the common cold were all unpleasant. Either tough it out, schedule an off hours appointment with a traditional doctor in an inconvenient part of town, or seek treatment from what felt like an amateur practitioner in a walk in pharmacy clinic.
With PlushCare, all of the unpleasant parts of this experience were eliminated. I booked a near immediate consultation, was diagnosed, and on my way to a pharmacy to pick up my prescription within hours of clicking ‘book an appointment’. Not only was the service prompt, but I was diagnosed by a doctor with serious credentials that left me feeling well cared for.
I cannot recommend Plushcare enough. This simple, efficient, professional, and well priced service is the future and I’m glad NYC has caught up to the west coast.
