Pizza Hut Express

I went here yesterday and I ordered the Personal Pan Pepperoni Pizza and the 6 piece Mild Buffalo Wings. The Wings were good but I still prefer Little Cesar’s Wings. The pizza was a bit bland and too oily. The place itself looks decent and the bathroom was clean (surprised I know) The staff is friendly and your food is done in a great amount of time.
I haven’t tried the taco bell part of the restaurant yet but I will soon and do a review on it.

Yeah it’s ghetto and I’m sure there are health code violations galore (haven’t been around lately to see their DoH grade), but over the past few years, this place has served me well. Well, not well.
Let me explain.
I’ve gotten the individual pizza thing countless times (I’m not a Taco Bell person), but each time, I have had to wait at least 10 minutes. One time I think I waited 20. Yeah. and one time they completely forgot about my order. Not so express, now are you?
Although I haven’t been there in perhaps a year or so, when I would go, prices were decent (I mean it’s fast food, after all). Pizza was always pretty on point for Pizza Hut to me. (There needs to be more Pizza Huts in Manhattan).
I’ll never forget one summer day when I was caught in between a bee and a homeless man while waiting for my order. the situation was precarious to say the least.
Still, it was reliable and convenient over the past few years. If you can handle numerous homeless people and high cashiers on the regular (they’re definitely high, by the way), at least you know you’re a real New Yorker.
Convenience is clearly the main reason to come here. Union Square is a few blocks away, numerous buses are in the vicinity, and the L train is less than a block away. For that, I like this place.

I’m at the Pizza Hut, I’m at the Taco Bell, I’m at the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell!
This is one of those places that is simultaneously a 1 star place and a 5 star place. It’s a dump perpetually populated by putrid homeless patrons. And. It’s a glorious mecca for mindless munching of affordable and delicious (and SO authentic!) mexican and italian cuisine. Of the dollar menu variety.
If you know what you want, and you want cheap tacos and or a pizza, it doesn’t matter if there is an army of homeless avengers standing in your way = five stars.
