Challenging course but maintenance is an issue along with speed of play. I would recommend a couple of rangers out on the course. Also the course superintendent has resorted to green tape to patch up divots. Bunkers are an extra challenge as they are rarely raked. Luckily water is not an issue any more on this course which does lead to overall lower scores.
Not Bethpage Black but nonetheless prepare for a fun challenge.

Pier 25 in Tribeca — North Moore St. at Hudson River
Pier 25 playground in Tribeca is another playground where you could easily spend a whole afternoon. Pier 25 probably offers more activities than all the others in this list. My daughter’s favorite feature is probably the outdoor rock climbing walls. They also have two giant climbing structures which lend themselves to great photo ops with towering skyscrapers as a backdrop. In addition, this playground has swings for both big kids and infants, a huge sandbox and a nice water play area. For a fee you can play mini golf, beach volleyball and there is even a soccer field and skate park nearby. This area is located on Pier 25 on the Hudson and can get quite hot and gets very crowded. It’s an awesome playground though and if you go early in the day you can have a great time.

This park is close to where I work so I had a nice walk this afternoon & got here. Its a beautiful park and very chill with the water view & world trade center. It has skate park, bike path, kids park, mini golf course, sand courts & a soccer field. it has a nice view to the world trade center and across the river is the Jersey city view. I love that this park is good for everyone! its for family or dates with your boo. the only thing about this park is its kinda far from the train stations, but other than that its a nice place in nyc that everyone should check!

Every time I go here I’m surprised it’s not packed with more people! It is the PERFECT activity for a summer day (or for when you’ve just stumbled off the Hornblower Jazzy Brunch Cruise and need some time to chill out before you get on a subway.)!
It is sO cheap, $ 6 but they only take cash! They also sell some snacks at the booth, candy bars and bags of chips etc. Last year it seemed like some of the water functions weren’t working, but that turned out for the best because my ball fell into the «lake» area quite a few times.
It’s also in such a beautiful area! Surrounded by water, parks, shirtless men galloping along the river or whatever. Great for date night, or groups! Can’t wait for another summer at this place!

Great place to visit if you want to get good photos of the financial district. It does get really cold here during the weather as a result of the water. Great spot during mild weather conditions sit relax and enjoy the view of downtown Manhattan, the Hudson River and Jersey C

The modern large playground deserves 5 stars for their multiple play structures, rock climbing wall, spray area and great view of the freedom tower.

This might be one of the best kept secrets in Manhattan. Mini golf for $ 6, while watching the sunset over the New Jersey skyline? You betcha.
The staff at the park is amazing, there’s one older gentleman who will make your heart melt especially, and the course is cleaner than any other public park.
Mini golf greatness aside, this park is great for a workout. Lole and a few other overpriced athletic apparel stores throw free workouts in the summer, just check the calendar for when those happen.
I don’t know if I could say this is my favorite spot in the city, but it comes pretty close from May-​October. Enjoy!

Perfect pit stop on your walk, bike, or run through the Hudson River Park. Complete with sand volleyball courts, $ 5 mini golf, and a small café. I believe Saturday mornings are first come, first served at the courts. I’m a big fan of the lounge chairs or the wooden deck at the end of the pier for sun bathing.

A nice view of the water that is not super crazy crowded but is too crowded to do anything of an intimate nature unless you just wanted to kiss & cuddle. I went at nighttime but I bet it’s really nice during the day.

I’ve been hearing talk about the mini-​golf on Pier 25 for a while now, but I’m originally from Jersey were mini-​golf, roller skating, bowling, malls, and diners are like religion, so you can’t just say «oh there is mini-​golf in Manhattan» like it’s no big deal. I had to go find out. The website for the mini-​golf place says it’s «Professional grade mini-​golf». Pffftt I’LL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT! So I whined to my other Jersey friend, «Can we go! Can we can we can weeeee!!» and we headed down on a Wednesday evening for a round of 18 holes. By the fifth hole we were both nodding in approval. Some are more «professional grade» than others, and the lack of windmill, water trap, and weird animals is a downgrade HOWEVER, this is most certainly a well set up mini-​golf (or putt putt if you will) course squished into a nook of the pier. It’s actually really well done for the awkward little space it’s placed in. At night, you have stunning views of the Freedom Tower and even I, someone who grew up with this view, kept turning around to gush about how beautiful it was. «I’m playing putt putt with this view! Quick! Take a picture before the little kid behind me hits me with his club!»
The downtown views, a cool breeze coming off the water, and on a clear night a beautiful view of the Colgate clock on the Jersey side make this one of the best spots in the city. The mini-​golf is a great cheap activity for friends, families, or a date night. $ 6 for adults, $ 5 for kids! Cash only though so come prepared. There is a long line for the first hole, but then play goes pretty quickly as people start to figure out what they are doing, (and they start noticing the waiting groups behind them). I had a blast and wouldn’t mind returning on another weeknight. I suspect it might be a bit too packed on a weekend to be really enjoyable.

It’s not everyday you get to play mini golf in the city. It’s also not everyday I take my fiancé to play mini golf. Although she certainly did enjoy this summer pastime. You’ll find lots of little kids here playing, so some holes may get a bit of queuing but it’s fun nonetheless, just have to be a little patient. Sadly a few holes were under some form of construction, one way or another, but it was still playable.
All in all, something different for a summer day in the city.

Mini golf has great views of the water and the city, but they do nothing to limit the number of people on course. After waiting 20 minutes at each of the 1^st and 2^nd holes, we just gave up. The teenager working the counter replied to my request for a refund with «yeah man». I’m not sure what that meant…
Also, the views afforded the course are no different from those of the parts of the pier outside the course. Why did I pay $ 25?

Mini Golf Review Only:
$ 5 for an 18-​hole mini golf game is a pretty sweet deal, and it’s made sweeter when you get to play on the pier overlooking the Hudson and… well, Jersey.
If you come on a really nice day during the weekend, which I did, you’ll have to deal with a good number of other people playing. Wait times for each hole aren’t too too bad though, and watching others fail miserably or score an enviable hole-​in-​one offers some amusement. Still, the line can move at snail-​ish paces at times with little shade to hide under.
The course itself takes up surprisingly less space than I’d expect it to, and several of the holes are challenging in their own right. If you’re in the mood for some mini-​golf fun, I think this is your best shot for a game in the city.

I came here for a private event Dinner en Blanc and it was such a great location. Beautiful views of the city (downtown) and plenty of space.
I did noticed on the other side where the event wasn’t taking place there were people walking their dogs, kids playing and people just taking a stroll.

I love Pier 25 in the summer since it’s a great place with lots to do– you can play volleyball, go jogging, play mini golf, or just take in the views of your surroundings. There’s also plenty of food/​drink just a few blocks away, which makes for a convenient location. I love Tribeca as it is, but I really really love this pier in the warmer weather.
My favorite part is definitely the mini-​golf– not only because I slay at mini golf, but because it’s only 6 bucks for an 18 hole course– perfect for a fun summer activity you wouldn’t think of doing in the city!

A beautiful little oasis in the middle of TriBeCa, especially if you have kids. There is a great playground with climbing walls, sprinklers and fountains, and lots of jungle gyms. The mini golf course is not the biggest and most elaborate, but is nice on a summer eve. They have beach volleyball courts, soccer fields, and a nice spot at the end of the pier to set up a beach chair and read a book while looking at the Jersey City Skyline (or the sailboats on the river, whichever conjures up a lovelier picture).

A lovely city spot! This place is wonderful for everyone. They have beach volleyball (real sand and beach chairs), mini golf and a play area for kids. Not to forget the benches to relax on. The view is also nice.

Oh man I love it here. Sure, it’s full of families and joggers and dogs and skaters and bicyclists. But even on it’s most crowded day it’s usually still a nice oasis in the city. You’ve got a great view of the World Trade Center, The Statue of Liberty, and Jersey’s skyline. There’s a playground, the Lilac Lighthouse Tender is always docked there, mini golf, beach volley ball, a fenced green space for little kids to play in, benches all along the water, a few tables and chairs to snack at, lilac bushes, and lounge seats that are perfect for tanning. Even the bathrooms are pretty clean.

My boyfriend and I came here to play mini-​golf. It’s $ 5 a person, which is really not bad at all, considering it’s in NYC. In addition, the views are amazing as you can see the skyline (including the Freedom Tower) while you’re playing.
We went on a perfect Saturday (weather was absolutely gorgeous), so there was some traffic while playing as there were many groups of people ahead of us. The course itself is pretty straightforward and doesn’t have any fancy windmills like in other courses, but it’s still a great place to check out!

I personally, really love Pier 25. It is one of my favorite places on the West Side Highway– especially during warmer weather!
You can find these fun outdoorsy activities on the pier: Mini golfing, beach volley ball, skate boarding, dog parks, soccer and free kayaking on the Hudson River– all while having a view of the Freedom Tower and Statue of Liberty! I’m pretty sure that’s called living the life. This is a great part of downtown and I’m glad it’s here– it lets you escape Manhattan for a while and do something other than drink and party all the time.

If you like mini golf, you’ll enjoy pier 25. You can’t beat $ 5 game for adults in Manhattan. Going on a sunny, Saturday afternoon was surprising as it wasn’t crowded. The only bad part was that there was a large group in front of us so that slowed things down going from hole to hole. Some areas were more challenging than others and overall it was a great course. Pretty waterfalls and greenery and also a cool spot to check out the beach volleyball games. Great for both adults and kids!

Pier 25 is a recently developed pier as part of Hudson River Park. It features a playground, skate park, volleyball (sand) courts, a turf field, lots of benches, and the best feature, a 18 hole mini golf course. There’s a great view of the world trade center tower and you can even see the statue of liberty.
Mini golf is $ 5 for adults ($ 4 for kids). They offer a few snacks (including fresh fruit and water) for affordable prices. It’s really surprising how un-​new york the prices are. The course is short and not all of the holes are that interesting but there are a couple challenging ones thrown in. It’s a well manicured course that even features a stream and water fountain but when I came it was dried up. One hole featured a small strip of green so challenging to get over and if you missed, the stream carried your ball through a log onto the second tier of the hole. I wish all holes were this innovative but none the less it was a great way to spend an evening. On a Tuesday night the course was full but not packed where I had to wait to play. I’m not sure about the off season but during the summer they’re open 10am to 10pm 7 days a week.
Pier 25 is truly one of NYC’s not so hidden gems and I hope it stays around for many years to come.
And for the mini golf lovers out there, Pier 25 is one of the few places in NYC you can actually play and certainly the easiest to get to and the cheapest, here are your other options:
–Randalls Island Golf Center ($ 9)-nice but hard to get to (also has driving range/​batting cages)
–Flushing Meadows ($ 8) — nice and has beer (also has pitch and putt course)
–Greenwich Village Country Club ($ 10) — indoors as part Bowlmor (has bar and other games)
–Staten Island ($ 6) — also has go-​karts and batting cages (need a car to get to)
–Brooklyn Golf Center ($ 8) — also has driving range, very far into Brooklyn
