I will admit it right here-I have never been to Philly so I would not know how an authentic one is supposed to taste, but I had cheesesteak from Shorty’s before which is supposedly the king in NYC and this place is up to par. The menu is small, just three kinds of sandwich and a few sides, but the Philly steak I ordered was very, very good. I skipped the onions and just got the meat and the cheese. I also got the chicken sandwich which I will try tomorrow.

My half steak sandwich/onion rings lunch special was pretty good but it really is overpriced at $ 8.95 plus tax. It should be either $ 5.95 or $ 6.95.

This place is now a hybrid cheesesteak /Mexican place. Their menu holder has both a cheesesteak menu and a Mexican food menu intertwined. Very strange. As anyone who grew up near Philly will tell you, a good cheesesteak place will only serve cheesesteaks, but in spite of being sketched out by this frankenstraunt, I went ahead and got one anyway. I panicked when ordering and got provolone instead of whiz(yes, I am ashamed), but the sandwich was OK. The bread was fine, the steak was good, the sandwich was well proportioned — decent all the way around. I wouldn’t recommend getting one here to any nostalgic Philadelphians, but with 99 Miles so far away, it’ll have to do for now.

I liked this place in the beginning when they opened up… But in the meanwhile there’s less and less meat in the cheesesteaks and the bread seems to have changed to the negative as well. Bummer

Soooo GOOD! I had the chicken cheese steak with cheese wiz, onions & jalapeños, it was absolutely delicious. The sandwich itself was very long like a hero, I could only eat half with the waffle fries(greasy) I also ordered. I ate the other half a couple hours later, fresh out the fridge cold & still really tasty. I will be ordering with them again but next time I’ll try onion rings :-)

Stumbled upon this new cheesesteak joint in HK … but the results were mixed. The pros: — Reasonable prices for the food. — Very fast delivery. The food also arrived extremely hot. — Small, but decent selection of sides including waffle, cheese fries and a decent potato salad — Free soda with my order of cheesesteak The cons: — The cheesesteak itself was somewhat bland and the bread was mediocre. The meat was plentiful but the flavor was lacking. Mine was the old Philly standard of meat, whiz and onions. Unfortunately that usual sure bet didn’t pay off here. Even though I pointed out only one con, it is a glaring one since cheesteak is supposed to be the specialty here. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst I ever had, but this place has a long way to go to surpass Shorty’s in Hell’s Kitchen/Midtown West when it comes to cheesesteak domination. I’d say if you want a fairly cheap meal, this place will fit the bill. Just don’t expect too much for now and hopefully they will find a way to improve the flavor of their signature dish. Note: This place is essentially the same place as Latin Out but with cheesesteak added on the menu and listed as a diff biz

Hands down one of the BEST Philly Cheese Steak sandwich in Hell’s Kitchen. Worth every star. Try their onion rings too they are MASSIVE and tastey.
